or half our starting rotation is hurt and we have to send out Ben fucking Casparius against one of the best teams in the league.
FUCK the Astros. That is all.
Ok I saw this originally on r/Baseball, but after further research (I didn’t watch the game) this was referencing that Orel was thinking that Ben was tipping his pitches right?
This was a comment on the poor location and pitch mixing that our pitchers were doing, not accusing the Astros of sign stealing.
It just makes for a fun sound bite to fans of other trams if they frame it as him accusing them of cheating.
Idk bro has to fill the game with something, what else are you going to talk about, this isn’t that deep
I’d imagine he meant it as a joke and a compliment to how well the Astros hitters played last night.
He was tipping his pitches in his previous start too. It’s possible to see what’s coming from the batter’s box without a trash can or an electronic buzzer.
I’m sure I’ll get downvoted to oblivion but the whole cheating thing is starting to get old. Obviously what they did in 17 was and still is wrong and the punishment wasn’t enough.
How do we know they were doing the exact same thing last night? It could’ve been sign stealing. Pitchers could’ve been tipping their pitches. As someone that has never played a single out of baseball in his entire life, even I know that if something seems fishy, you need to switch it up.
they are the away team, it is more likely that he is tipping.
The trash banging sign stealing was not exposed until 3 years later, so who knows what they’re up to now. The cheating was proposed and sanctioned from the top levels of their organization, so one could say they are institutionally ok with cheating.
My personal belief is that they are still doing shady things, but are way more careful on how and when they do.
Interestingly the Astros currently are, by a wide margin, the club with the highest win ratio against over .500 teams. 26W-19L. The other top teams are Dodgers and Tigers, with 20-17 and 19-17, respectively.
He was probably tipping pitches.
Whatever it was last night, fact is that Casparius has went from invaluable to maybe spending the rest of the season in the minors in just a month or so. All of his own doing too.
It’s at home. Orel was reaching too far there and casparius has lost it. Nice reference but save it for the road trip
Tellin y’all they usin a baby monitor, we need a scrambler
Who gives a fuck? The Astros did what they did and for an OG like Orel to say it on our own broadcasting channel, people can suck it. Dodger broadcast for Dodger fans.
I felt it was more Ben was tipping pitches and the fact we fucking sucked ass yesterday.
Idk what it is with this team but they seem to always struggle against the Astros
He was grooving pitches all game. Fast balls right down Main Street.
The absolute shit show meltdown r/baseball is having over this comment that they have zero contextual awareness regarding, is frankly a spectacle to behold
Why is no one asking the important question? How many of you swiped to see the 2nd image? ✋It got me.
I wouldn’t doubt it! Cheaters and liars usually double down and have no shame or conscience.
Either tipping pitches are Orel was simply making a connection that they were hitting like they knew what was coming, not that they actually knew what was coming.
I think those hats are atrocious
Regardless of everyone in baseball punting on holding the Astros accountable, in the words of Rachel; “once a cheater always a cheater”

It immediately opened old wounds for me.
