Denver Broncos Just Quietly Solved Their Biggest Problem…
Your Denver Broncos got the gasoline that they’re about to douse all over this offensive fire next season. And things are going to go to the moon because this most recent signing that we have just keeps getting better and better as advanced analytics come out and show us how bad things were last year and how important this is for a Shawn Peyton offense. We’re breaking down, of course, the signing of Evan Ingram and just really a deep dive into like how Shawn Peyton has used tight ends throughout his entire career and how lacking that was last year for the Broncos, which makes it even more b mind-boggling that we made the playoffs. Uh, and really we’re almost tied with the Buffalo Bills at halftime of a playoff game. If you’re new to the channel, I’m a diehard Denver Broncos fan named Ben. I still have all my fingers and toes after the 4th of July. Hope you do as well. And it helps me and the algorithm out a ton if you like the Broncos if you would like and subscribe. Uh, so an amazing article kind of came out here and it just did a scatter plot of how often you’re throwing to the tight end and then how successful it is. And the Broncos are in the worst place you could possibly be on this scatter plot. Like we didn’t throw to them often and when we did it wasn’t successful. Shawn Peyton did not have a tight end which makes it just mind-boggling that we made it as far as we did last year. Uh, and really like if we don’t have that field goal block we were an 11 win team last year. We were cooking with gasoline or so I thought. But man, we really weren’t. Like if you scroll through here and just take a look at our tight end room last year, it is absolutely wild to me that the first time you see a Denver Broncos tight end listed here last year when it comes to um the top tight ends in the league, we are number 44, which means you’re you’re talking 14 teams had their tight end two better than our tight end one. And that is just not uh a place at all you want to be. most of the stat sites as I was trying to look up our tight end production, you had to pay for it to even like get far enough down on the list cuz they’re like, “Ah, only dieards would be looking this far down on the list.” And so, the fact that we have the answer in Evan Ingram is a wild wild thing and it’s going to unlock this offense in some amazing ways because take a look at how Shawn Peyton used the tight end room in his time in New Orleans and names that a lot of us haven’t heard of who still vastly outperformed what the tight ends in our locker room last year did. Seeing guys like Benjamin Watson just absolutely go off 113 receptions for Watson. But really the name I think everyone knows the name that he’s floated. Kale Bloner reminds him of right. Our seventh round steel that we got out of the University of Utah, a converted basketball player. He said he reminds him of a Jimmy Graham. You just take a look at this year where he’s making the Pro Bowl three times. He’s a one-time allpro. Um the NFL touchdown leader. He had 16 touchdown catches. Just absolutely bonkers thinking of what a tight end like that would do for uh Bo Nicks. just makes me froth at the mouth. I’m so excited. Uh and so I went back through and like was just watching some highlights of him and like this guy is just an absolute stud. So if Caleb Loner is anywhere close to him, that would be a wild wild thing to get to get that size frame, the basketball maneuverability, his ability after the catch as well. And I’m going to show some highlights in a second here of why I think Evan Ingram is actually better after the catch than Jimmy Graham. I don’t think he’s necessarily as good um he’s definitely not as good as of a blocker as Jimmy Graham was. Um and he’s doesn’t have the frame of him to like go up and get those. We’re gonna look at he he has done some pretty amazing things, especially just two seasons ago, his last healthy season, his fully healthy season um with the Jacksonville Jaguars. But I man, if we have a Jimmy Graham, can you even imagine um what that would look like? I loved watching uh there’s a highlight here that just shows like what a big dude he was showing him uh double-handed jamming here and he jams it so hard on the crossbarss that he actually bends the field goal post and they had to like pause the game and straighten the field goal post. So an absolute manchild here and it would just be insane if the Broncos have their answer in a Caleb Loner or in an Evan Ingram to equal that production. But you don’t even have to just look at what he did in New Orleans cuz that was impressive. but he’s done it his entire career taking guys no one had heard of like a Jimmy Graham turned him into an allp pro but then also he you got to remember he also was the offensive coordinator that had the best tight end season ever for a rookie until Brock Bowers broke all of those last season with a a little guy named Jeremy Shocki and you just see his first year 74 receptions as a rookie almost a thousand yards two touchdowns making uh huge catches in playoff games setting records for the entire franchise of the New York Giants and doing all of that as a rookie. And then Shawn Peyton did the very similar thing when he was the offensive coordinator and the assistant head coach with the Dallas Cowboys, a guy again most people hadn’t heard of, a guy named Jason Whitten. And you just see Whitten’s rookie productions off the chart. And so that’s why you got to be really bullish in oh we got a rookie tight end and his name’s Caleb Bloner. And we know that Mike Vrabel and the Patriots wanted him. We know that uh Shane Stikin and the Indianapolis Colts also wanted him. But your Denver Broncos were able to nab him. And already just from what we’ve seen at OTAAS, you see him already emerging as a red zone target. Uh and then obviously we know he also coached Dan Campbell and transferred a lot of like his leadership lessons to him and just helped Dan Campbell absolutely go off and Dan Campbell just still gives credit to Shawn Payeyton for the competitive nature that he has. Um, but truly I think the fact that the Broncos got Evan Ingram and not only like they got him, which is going to be a huge ad for us, but the fact that he looked at both us and another team who was really tight end needy in the Chargers and he picked Bo Knicks. I think he knows what is in store for him. And it’s it’s partially obviously Bo Knicks and he’s like, “Hey, Boon Knicks and Justin Herbert are 1A and 1B right there.” And he said that. That’s not me saying that as a homer. He said it. But then also knowing, hey, I know tight ends in a Shawn Payeyton offense. absolutely feast and I’m ready to do it. Uh, and you just don’t have to look back that far for Evan Ingram highlights where it just makes you just want to like just go to sleep right now and wake up tomorrow in September and even skip all the good weather of summer because we finally have a tight end and we see him do it every single uh position that you can line up a tight end. So, you see him lining up in the slot. We know he led the league in slot receptions amongst tight ends. You also see him like in that little screen game and I think his ability after the catch is even better than a Jimmy Graham. U there are some highlights where and here’s a great example of him like catching it in space going against a very difficult Pittsburgh Steelers defense that like they’re great tacklers. They always have been and just able to take a 5-yard gain and carve it up. You see him around the line of scrimmage absolutely feast after the catch. Uh like we see right here. But then uh one of my favorite ones is is the highlight. I think it’s this one right here. Um, wait. A huge red zone threat obviously for Evan Ingram, but I think it’s uh maybe it’s oh this one right here where he goes up over three Packers defenders. This kind of feels Jimmy Gish to me where like there’s no possible world in which he should be the one coming down with that ball and yet he comes down in the midst of three uh you know golden yellow or whatever color those dudes yellow and white defenders right there. So obviously I am wildly hyped about Evan Ingram. I think the the way that Shawn Payeyton has relied on the tight end position and we made the playoffs even without it is just one of the biggest testaments to what we’re building here with the Denver Broncos and makes me extremely extremely excited. So, what let me know in the comments what are your big predictions for the Broncos in the tight end room this year. Do you have any incredibly wild takes? I my wild take is and it’s not even that wild. I think Evan Ingram is going to have a thousand yards receiving this year. And I actually think we’re going to see Kale Bloner come down with at least three touchdowns this this season. Uh which would be pretty cool as a seventh round guy that no one had heard of until we got him. We know that how Shawn Peyton schemes up his offense. He talks about the triangle, right? The he needs to have a a great receiver, a great running back, and a great tight end. And then whatever the defense is coming out and setting up in, he has the answer to it cuz he knows, oh, the defense is in too high safety coverage. So that means I’m going to send my wide receiver down and suck them up. I’ll have my my uh running back just do a little thing in the flat and then I’m just going to curl my tight end and have him wide open and feast. But Shawn Peyton has been missing really two key parts of that triangle that he talks about needing and now we have both of them because uh we have a running back stable of running backs now that I’m wildly hyped in. Cannot wait to see RJ Harvey and then I cannot wait to see uh what a JK Dobbins RJ Harvey backfield with a Jul Mclofflin sets up for us especially now that we have a tight end. I think it’s going to take our entire offense to an entirely new level. Uh and we’re here for it and we’ve been here for it since the jump. Broncos country. We have a tight end. We got Shawn Payton, Secret Sauce, Gasoline on the Fire, and so much to Bo Leven. Kids keep moving these
Sean Payton relies on a tight end more than any coach in the NFL. It makes it even more impressive that the Denver Broncos made the playoffs last season without anything close to adequate tight end play. We always hear that a great tight end is a rookie quarterbacks best friend. Bo Nix balled out of control without a tight end. Thats why you should be so hyped about Evan Engram. We see some advanced analytics that show just how bad Sean Payton’s tight end room was last season. We also take a look at some of Sean Payton’s best tight end rooms when he was the coach of the New Orleans Saints and a coordinator with the Dallas Cowboys and the New York Giants. How hyped are you about Evan Engram? Do you think we’ll see Caleb Lohner ball out this season or will he take more time to develop? Bo Nix is going to be in the running for NFL MVP next season because we’ve improved our offense so much and Broncos Country- we have SO much to Bo-LIEVE in! Join this channel to get access to perks:

Jeremey schocky was the super bowl TE for the Saints
Almost there to training camp. Just around the corner. Very exciting.
If the Broncos are in a 2 TE set, and you have Engram on the field with Krull or Trautman, the Def will be screwed trying to guess run or pass. We are sooo close now, can't wait!
i need that shirt bro…itll be my best shirt immediately
That scatter plot was telling, and a reason for optimism, now that Engram is on the team. TOP and third down conversions will improve a bunch. Last year they were 25th in TOP and had 39% third down conversion rate. If those numbers go up so will scoring.
Go Broncos ❤
Evan Engram will make the rest of the TEs better
Other than Cecil and the boys this is the best Broncos content on YT.
In a word: Better
I love that ELWAY t shit !!!
I find it crazy how bad our rb and te production was last year and we still won 10 games so excited for this season
All right man let's be real here. We're all slightly biased towards the Denver broncos, but to say that the Denver broncos were " almost tied "with the Buffalo bills before halftime is a highly selective and only "technically" true. The broncos surpassed expectations wildly, but we absolutely got trounced by The Bills who exposed a lot of weaknesses of the team. A lot of those have been addressed in the off-season. Would just prefer if you would stick to actionable facts rather than sensationalism.
