The 3-2 and it’s just outside ball four and that’ll force in a run. So now the 2- two and it’s in the air to right field. Barger setting up. He’ll make the catch. Here comes Trout. Here comes the throw and he is out at the plates. But he has aggravated that ankle injury. So he’s not on the lineup. And now Lucas slams one back up the middle for a base hit. Defensively behind the Angels right-hander this afternoon. Taylor and he slams one through the left side for a base hit. Guerrero jumping on the first one he sees and the Blue Jays have a couple of men on and flares this one. It will be caught though. A nice play made by Stevens. The second baseman ranging back into the outfield lefties.
Yeah. 13 of the 15 he’s allowed. Barger finds a hole into right center. Lucas in to score. Guerrero around to third and that will tie the ball game. Coming inside again. And you see he’s all over the plate. He’s very close to that inside edge.
That’s lined into left and it’ll be a base hit for Neto get things started for the Angels in the third. That is a fair ball and Wagner will get the out at first. Knocked it down. Went to the bag. One down and Neto to second. Neto going and the 22 is just low for ball three. And Neto takes third without a throw. Well, you could see him dancing around there and I thought he might be trying, but
Trout not going and it’s ball four. Another walk given up by Scherzer. Third on the afternoon and this one is going to load the bases yesterday or today. This is in the air to right field right at Barger. He takes a step in. Here comes Neto. And this time the runner will score. That ball hit a little bit deeper. So Neto in on the sack fly. Trout to third and it is two to1 Angels. High in the air to center field. Adele is back at the wall. Jumps and it’s gone. Guerrero’s got another base hit. Didn’t hit this one as hard, but he’s two for two. Whether it’s 2, three, four, or five, he is hitting about as any well in baseball right now. A ground ball down to third and there’s no play for Renifo. And that’ll be an infield hit for Bette. That’s a great job by Rean Heo to get to this baseball. And now a ground ball to third. Backs up Reno to second one and on to first in time to end the inning. a little bit as opposed to his cutters a little sharper and a little harder. That is grounded to third and it’s going to eat up Clement and again into left. A hard hit ball off the bat of Logan Hoppy and he is aboard.
Not break as much. Get up here and they’re snapping him off. And there is a base hit up the middle for Stevens. Oh going to come around to third and that’s going to be the first big league hit for Chad Stevens. Runner goes from first. They throw through the tag and he’s out. Interesting. Up the middle. A base hit for Clemens. Kirk up to second.
And that was a pretty cool view from a hitter’s perspective. This one is lined to left center field and it is down for a base hit as Renifo is aboard to begin the seventh. Shows bunt and he gets it down. Backhanded by Estrada and he’ll make a good play to throw him out. Stevens with a sacrifice to advance Renifo to second and a little dribbler fair. Kirk’s got it and he’ll throw him out. Two down, the runner to third and we’re going down to the field and Ardan’s Welling
and I’m sure he was as ready as any for this moment. This is line to right and that’s a base hit. A two out single by Showell off Estrada and that is going to tie the game at three right here. Let’s try not to get too big. Fast ball and he lines it to left. A base hit. His second hit of the game. And there’s a base hit into right field. Springer will stop at second. The third hit of the afternoon for Guerrero. And another one. And that will bounce away from Ohapy. It’ll be a wild pitch on Fairmine. And both runners will advance to the right side. distracting him. And then he goes back hopefully a few feet further the other way.
Lined in left and the Blue Jays have a base runner with one out in the bottom of the eighth. Hit sharply down to third. Ranifo to second. Not in time. And the 1-1 high in the air to center. It is deep but playable and Adele makes the catch and the Blue Jays stranded. Kirk wants it buried. Curve ball to get him. One down two. Got him. How about this from Lazaro Estrada in his major league debut. Four very good innings. The Blue Jays will bring up Guerrero, Bishette, and Barger. And that’s strike three called right down the middle to get Guerrero. One down. And he strikes him out. Kenley Jansen just struck out Guerrero, Bishette, and Barger in order. Barger cracking the bat over his leg. The one two and it’s a fly ball to center. Straw going back. Newman tagging. And this is plenty deep enough. Newman on his way to third. So it all comes out in the wash, I guess. Runners at third with one out.
Got him. The one, two, and a ground ball to short. And what a job by Fiser. The Angels do not score in the top of the 10th. And a ground ball to first. The only play is at first. Two down. Runners at second and third. This is Skyed on the infield in foul territory. Clemens has room and makes the catch and a big first out without the runner advancing. Miles straws at second. Top of the order. Lucas squares and gets the buck down and there’s nobody near it. 3-2 and caught out at second by Newman to save the game at least for the moment for the Angels. What a great swing again.
And now that they have gotten the first out, they will walk Guerrero. So that’ll load him up, set up a force at the plate, a possible double play situation. All of that it’ll and it gets into right and the Blue Jays will win it. Addison Barger with a base hit into right
