The Dallas Cowboys defensive line is going to destroy every offensive line this year. They have guys like rookie Donovan Eszaraku who was a highly productive player at Boston College and he joins veterans like Michael Parsons and Dante Fowler rushing the passer. Asku led the ACC with 16 and a half sacks in 2024 and his pass rush bag is insanely deep. He’s extremely quick and agile and he can win in a number of different ways. He’s going to be working alongside a guy like Dante Fowler who had 10 and a half sacks last year with the Washington Commanders. He was eighth in the league in pass rush win rate amongst edge players, winning on 20% of his reps. Fowler’s going to be reunited with Micah Parsons, who was third in the NFL last year in pass rush win rate, winning 23% of his pass rush reps. The key for this unit is going to be stopping the run first so they can consistently rush the passer because who’s stopping this

  2. If it were all about "pass rush" that would be great, but the are STILL super weak at DT, and last time I checked, you absolutely NEED DT's to stop the run.

  9. We should be much stronger on the defensive front this year. All the guys healthy! Bringing back the goat in Dante Fowler! He was a key in the 2023 defensive front. Adding Donovan & having Sam Williams back with a healthy kneeland is gonna help out so much. Can’t forget the newest addition in GP, Jaydon Blue + the vets. This season is gonna be fun to watch hope Agent 0 makes a healthy return with big impact 🔥🔥

  14. Eagles O-line doesnt have Jason Kelce as it's captain at center anymore, and that's a BIG DEAL because five different offensive lineman learning to play as one synchronized unit takes time to get acclimated. That will hurt Philly versus Dallas. Watch 😮

  18. Sam Williams, if healthy, can dominate the run and pass. Go back to his healthy film. If his head is in the game and healthy, Williams will dominate anyway lined up across from him

  28. UNFAIRLY AND UNFORTUNATELY – FOR HIM:

    The "KEY" – at least to me – is:

    DT's Mazi Smith and / or UCLA ROOKIE DT Jay Toia.

    The Cowboys DESPERATELY NEED at least "ONE", but "BOTH" to STEP UP – and STEP UP FAST.
    It's not "FAIR" to a ROOKIE 7th. round pick, but "UNFORTUNATELY" the Cowboys NEEDS Toia A.S.A.P.
    The "PROBLEMS" with the Cowboys' DEFENSIVE LINE NEEDS to be "RECTIFIED" A.S.A.P.
    DT Jay Toia NEEDS to PARTNER with his UCLA "BROTHER", DT Osa Odighizuwa – and PUT AN END to this "PROBLEM", ONCE AND FOR ALL.

    CAN HE / THEY DO IT?

    THE TRUTH:

    Personally, I don't know.

    "IF" they "RECTIFY" this, they can run all kinds of "PACKAGES" with the "OUTSIDE" guys.

    "IF" the Cowboys were "REALLY", "REALLY" "SMART" they'd LINE UP DEFENSIVE END / PASS-RUSHER / LINEBACKER Micah Parsons and DEFENSIVE END / PASS-RUSHER / LINEBACKER Donovan Ezeiruaku (at the least) – ALL OVER THE FRONT 7.

    RUNNING PACKAGES LIKE:

    DEFENSIVE END / PASS-RUSHER / LINEBACKER (if they want to play him there) Sam Williams, DEFENSIVE END / PASS-RUSHER / LINEBACKER (if they want to play him there) Marshawn Kneeland, and DEFENSIVE END / PASS-RUSHER / LINEBACKER (if they want to play him there) Dante Fowler, Jr. (all these guys are or could be EXTREMELY VERSATILE) on the "ENDS", with DT Osa Odighizuwa and DT Jay Toia (I have a "FEELING" he's going to be a "HIT." I'm just not sure if it's this year or not, although it needs to be) in the "MIDDLE", with Parsons and Ezeiruaku at "LB", "BLITZING" the DOUBLE A-GAPS, etc.

    At LB they – along with "AGENT 0" Overshown (when he's healthy) and / or "HEATSEEKING MISSILE" Liufau – can also "CHASE DOWN" "ANY" and "EVERY" BODY that gets passed the LINE OF SCRIMMAGE.

    WHO IS THE OFFENSE GOING TO "DOUBLE TEAM" / "ROLL" / "SHADE" THEIR "PROTECTION" TO?

    ONE OF MY FAVORITE SAYINGS IN SPORTS:

    YOU CAN'T "DOUBLE TEAM" EVERYBODY.
    SOMEBODY IS GOING TO BE LEFT ONE-ON-ONE.
    Who's left ONE-ON-ONE "MUST" CONSISTENTLY "WIN", at the least.

  31. We're better structure wise but whether we're going dominate is whole different story.
    Tackling is just one of the keys but a fundamental one when defending against the run.
    If the current group on defense hasn't/doesn't adopted the tackling philosophy then it'll be a draft or two to get those players on the team.
    In those playoffs loses the defense hasn't really been present like they were in regular seasons. Disappearing in the playoffs is not an inheritance base on team history but more frontseat than the backseat it is now.
    We can't win without the defense which has a key role to play.
