#DallasCowboys Fish Report LIVE BREAKING: KaVontae Turpin Arrested and Jailed

the NFL. These weeks between the end of mini camp and the start of training camp are the most worrisome uh the most handrigging and teeth nashing for NFL officials. And Cavante Turpin just showed us why. Mike Fischer reporting from Frisco. Uh breaking news. We have just gotten word and we’ve been in communication of sorts with Colin County and with the city of Allen. Cavonte Turpin has been arrested on this Fourth of July weekend. He’s in jail. As I present this to you now, there is a $500 bond on a marijuana charge, a $1,000 bond on an unlawful weapon charge, a gun charge. Now, these are misdemeanors. Uh, so this doesn’t have to be a crisis. This doesn’t have to be the NFL is going to suspend him. Um, this doesn’t have to be, oh no, Cavante is a bad apple at this time in this place. How about just two really bad decisions? Cavante Turpin, by the way, on this um Fourth of July weekend. Yes, the Cowboys uh quite often in Frisco and Colin County and have the authority to kind of get things done with law enforcement officials. This might be a little bit more of a challenge. It’s Fourth of July weekend. It’s a Sunday and the judge might be busy. And so Cavante may spend a little bit of time uh sitting in that jail jail cell thinking his way through this. Turpin of course has a bit of a history uh in terms of conflict with law enforcement. In fact, coming out of TCU, that’s why he was booted out of that program and that’s why he ended up in the uh football minor leagues before becoming a superstar there and then coming to the Dallas Cowboys in a very slick move. Uh no behavioral problems by the way in the years since Gabonte’s been here. Instead, uh just Pro Bowl candidacy uh as he is as good as there is when it comes to a kick and punt returner. But this weekend, not good. Bad look for the Cowboys. bad look for Cavante and just a continuing warning for somebody from somebody that’s been doing this for 40 years. This is the troubling time. If you can just get through this and get the guys to training camp, when it’s back to telling players, here’s what you here’s what you do, here’s what you eat, here’s where you sleep, then everything can be smooth again. In one way, you cross your fingers that this is the only and as bad as it gets for the Cowboys on this Fourth of July weekend. By the way, while we’re on the subject, um far more serious subject, um the tragedy, uh regarding the flooding in the Hill Country where now I think uh 50 plus lives have been confirmed as taken, including a large collection of little girls who were at their annual camp there. um a a far more serious issue that uh deserves our attention um both uh in our conversation, in our writing at cowboyscountry.com, in our conversations here, and certainly in our thoughts and prayers as well. Fish out.

  1. What a knuckle headed decision by turpin to run around with a gun and weed.
He must have got pulled over in his vehicle with a cloud of smoke boiling out the damn thing.

  2. I don't care if someone smokes weed. It does affect his ability to play at the top of his game.
This just goes to show, these guys have ways around their annual drug test.
Prayers to those who've dealt with this crazy flood!

  3. Doesn't really matter…Booger extended Dak last September….they are f'd and aren't going anywhere….period!!!

  4. I'm going to say this knowing it will get some blowback but the fact that either of those two charges are crimes is really sad. I reserve the right to be wrong saying this not knowing the full details.

  5. He's in Texas weed and guns are everywhere, you have to be doing something stupid beyond just possession in order to get arrested.

  6. Any millionaire with "illegal" guns in America deserves whatever they get…it's to easy to legally get anything you could want, why be stupid?
