First wanted to say im a Blazers fan and Ive been looking at certain trades and wondered whats the overall consensus around Patrick Williams. Ik some ppl think he’s overpaid but dont know how you guys feel about trading him or the general direction of the team.

Im a big fan of Matas and wanted the Blazers to get him last year before we traded for Deni. And I think him and Giddey are good building blocks to move forward with. Then you guys also selected Noah Essengue in the lottery so I assume they might try to open up some mins at forward.

Jalen Green is a divisive player but he has the upside and in a way fits next to Giddey who’s mainly a playmaker. Could be interesting fit long term plus getting some picks back would be beneficial after not getting any in the last few deals

Full Trade Details:

Lmk what you guys think, who says no? And yes Ik most trades are unrealistic, this is all for fun and speculation if u don’t like trade ideas go read another post.

  1. Getting more than one team involved and trading for multiple players is way too much work for AKME.

  2. Why would the Blazers do this? The cap relief is minimal when you consider the length and value of the Williams contract. I understand the Grant deal isn’t great, but at least you get some value on the court from him.

  3. Bulls fans think Patrick Williams contract is bad, imagine paying Jalen Green and Josh Giddy a combined $65 million over the next 4 years.

Better deal Bulls send Patrick Willams 2nd rounders for the protection removed for the 2026 Portland pick in exchange for Robert Willams.

  4. Don’t think the other teams would accept this but if easily say yes
