#DallasCowboys Fish AM Report LIVE: The KaVontae Conspiracy; What Happens Next?

the Cavante Conspiracy and we’ve got a scoop that I don’t think the Dallas Cowboys really want you to know. I’m Mike Fischer, your trusty and trusty reporter. This is the Fishbowl and over the weekend of course, Fourth of July weekend and uh we go into this thing every year when I have our conversations with you. We talk about, you know, since I’m an old uncle fish, be safe and be smart. Talk about that on a personal level for us. And then on a professional NFL level, and many of you have now reflected on this saying, you fish, you you told us, you told them this is the six-w week period in the NFL calendar where teams are the most worried because mini camp’s over. The head coach always says, “Guys, go enjoy your families. Be careful out there. Uh be thoughtful with each other and we’ll see you in six weeks.” And then teams are so nervous because here here go a bunch of 24 year old single and ready to mingle millionaires with all this time on their hands and no coach to tell them what to do. Happens every year and it happened to Gavante Turpin. Uh breakfast at fishes by the way 8:00 a.m. every morning and then we do fish live as we will tonight. Fish at 6. A warning. Uh, Tuesday night of this week and Friday night of this week are special event dates in the Fiser family. So, don’t be surprised uh, Joey if uh, we tape a show or two over the course of this week. Cavante Turpin arrested as you heard here first. And I don’t care. And Boris, I’m glad you brought this up. I don’t care how often the new head coach, Brian Shotimer, talks about culture. I don’t care about how committed he is. I don’t care about how often he says it. I This stuff happens and it shouldn’t ever. It shouldn’t happen. First of all, not because it’s necessarily dangerous, although it can be. It shouldn’t happen because it’s so stupid. Let’s do Let’s do this on three levels. Let’s do the facts. Let’s do the conspiracy that nobody knows about. You’re about to. And then let’s do what’s next. Cowboys receiver room has gained a lot of attention this off season. Controversial trade for George Pickkins, check. The AllPro Ascension prediction for CD Lamb, check. Somebody got in trouble. Double check. uh ascowboyscountry.com and yours truly first to report Cavante per Turban bonded out of jail in Allen on Sunday after spending I think a day there incarcerated on a pair of misdemeanor charges. Turpin faces charges on a class B misdemeanor for possession of marijuana less than 2 ounces and a class A misdemeanor for unlawfully carrying a firearm. Sidebar, a lot of people talking to me on Twitter at Fish Sports, and I’m sure it’ll come up here, too. It shouldn’t be two ounces shouldn’t be illegal, or I thought Texas you could have a gun, or I’m I’m not for the sake of this conversation particularly interested in your drugs or your guns. I I don’t care. I for the for the sake of this conversation, I don’t care what should be legal. And I think um Floyd, I think you’ve got the explanation right that a lot of people are trying to look for. But you can’t have a little butter pot. You can’t have a gun. It’s the mix that can be problematic. But whatever you think about marijuana and guns is immaterial here. He allegedly broke the law. So, as we told you, first bond was set at $500 for the marijuana charge and at $1,000 for the gun charge. And then on Sunday afternoon, he was released bonded out. Dez, I thought Texas loves their guns and weed isn’t drugs. And and you know what? That’s a short and sweet statement that carries a lot of weight, Dez, in another conversation. But not in this one. Glen John, that shouldn’t happen. Once said someone who never read the Bible. I’m not trying to throw stones. I’m not saying I’m mistake free. I’m not. And you’re not. You’re not either. Um, we do this all the time. I do this all the time. Um, when you see a DUI guy and I and I apply this all the way up and all the way down. The one of the first things somebody says, the audience says when somebody who’s rich, football player, whatever, gets a DUI is you should have a limousine or at least call Uber. And it’s true. The rich people should do that. Should the rich people should call Uber, so should the poor people. Kevin L, $5 pitch in the super chat. Uncle Fish, I’ll be in Dallas September 11th through 14th for my bachelor trip. I tour the Star on the 13th. Do you have any recommendations? You know what? Give me a heads up when you do that. I might be in the neighborhood there. Um, make sure if you tour the Star. I’m sure they tell you this. It’s fabulous. But then take a walk around the neighborhood because it’s fabulous, too. And then about six minutes away is the Maverick Bar. You might want to put that on your list. So, those are the facts. Now, hey sugar, I might need your help on this. Now, let’s get to the conspiracy. As we are digging through this on Sunday morning, right?
Yes. the first things that come up in our our contact with Colin County officials, Allen police, all the rest. The first things that come up are, and you can if you squint, you can see the screenshot. And it it doesn’t have everything in here, but you see there’s Kamante’s height, 68 in. There’s his weight, 153 lbs. Remember a couple years ago he told us he was up to 163 cuz it back down to 153. Year of birth, hair color, all the rest. It has the arrest date at July 6th.
That’s the first one.
That’s Sunday. That’s the first one.
Sunday morning.
Okay. It also lists nobody as his attorney.
Correct. And in our experience and our research, that’s somewhat unusual. Usually you you give you give the the cops you get you get to the jail and you give the cops the attorney’s name of code. And then it also had the bond information. We got the bond information from the Allen police. 500 for the 500 for 1,000 for the gun
for the gun or whatever. Okay, about three hours later, we circle back to gather more information and all of the sudden the arrest date has been changed from the 5th to the 6th.
Now it says, “No, he didn’t get arrested on the 6th. He got arrested on the 5th.” That’s weird that they they got it wrong when they booked him. No, they didn’t. They didn’t get the day wrong. It was the day. They put days confined one. And then the bond information gone. There is no evidence of a $500 ask or a $500 pay. There’s no evidence of a $1,000 ask or $1,000 pay. There’s a record of him being there. But otherwise there ain’t much including still no lawyer. So he got bonded out but there’s no record of the bonded out even though I there’s no there’s no present record because it got eradicated and he got bonded out I I know with the help of a lawyer but there’s no record of a lawyer. So what’s the conspiracy? And this is why guys um when proathletes say we’re getting this is Deion Sanders and thousands of we get picked on. We’re always in the spotlight. Leave us alone. Dude, you’re you don’t always get picked on. You catch breaks. This was a Fourth of July and I told you this yesterday morning. This is a Fourth of July Sunday. And I said he might be in there for a little bit cuz it’s for a normal guy. It’s hard to find a judge on a Fourth of July Sunday. And yet, by God, they did it. And somehow, they did it without the record of a lawyer. And now, without the record of the bonding. And I hope the Cowboys don’t get too upset at me when I tell you what I’m quite sure happened. He probably has a business card. They probably hand business card,
right? Somewhere in Cavante’s vehicle is a business card, maybe even in his phone, right?
If you ever get in trouble, press this button
and voila, a cowboy person shows up, maybe an attorney, probably an attorney. Um, used to used to be an attorney and a coach. Now, the attorneys are so experienced and business-wise doing this. The attorneys are a coach. Somebody showed up, paid the money, got him out, took him home, and then asked Allen police and Colin County I this is my theory. Can you get some of that out of there? It looks a little messy. Can you get that out of there? So once and again the very end of me putting up with the professional athlete saying I get picked on you guys. And God bless you. You work your asses off to get where you’re at. Indisputable. You guys, by the virtue of your gifts and your work ethic, have been catching breaks since you were 8 years old. So, quit whining. Gavvante, you just did it again. You just caught another incredible break. The same is again by virtue of your work and your talent that got you here. They kicked you out of TCU because of an allegedly nasty incident with a woman and it caused you to not get to go to the NFL and you had to go to the USFL where you became the first 153 pound professional MVP in the history of football might be in the history of sports. And that got your break. You got your break. Then they took you to jail and they gave you another one. When we talk to Cavante, and we will soon, I I just hope I just hope he humbly has his tail between his legs and realizes, “Holy I almost did it again.” Now to what’s next. Again, this is not Turpin’s first entanglement with the law. Assuming these charges are real, it’s disappointing for any of us to backslide. Not just him, for any of us to have gone through what he went through and to backslide. Disappointing. Part of what’s sad here is we’ve talked about it for years. They they warn you, they beg you, they tell you. And I only half jokingly say this, Marcia, you’ve heard me say it a million times. that six week period. And I know, listen, I I wasn’t exactly a rowdy 24 year old. I was a a square real square. But maybe instead of getting on a yacht with naked girls, you had to swing by your mom’s six weeks at your mom’s. Go hang out with your mom. Go hang out with moms for six weeks. That’s what I say. That’s what I did. Six weeks of dumb guys doing dumb things on their own. David Jay $5 pitching back in the 90s. The whole team was high. Maybe this is a good thing. Let’s hope that as it relates to Cavante and his future football life and beyond that this is as dumb as it gets. So, what about a severe punishment from the NFL? I’ve seen a lot of people say that and I wouldn’t I wouldn’t uh count on that. Now, I’m the one I mean I I killed the NFL and the commissioner and I did it on NFL Network a lot which is probably why they don’t don’t put me on NFL Network anymore. Article 46, the NFL commissioner by virtue of the CBA that these players and their union signed gives the commissioner to right to punish any player at any time for anything. And I’m not kidding. Now, you can argue back. He could he could suspend you for your mustache, let alone for this, but they usually don’t. So, I don’t think there’s going to be NFL problems here. Good god. Rasheed Rice drove 110 miles an hour in a race with his buddy Lamborghini and a something caused car accidents that involved seven automobiles and 13 people. He’s so lucky that he didn’t kill seven people. And then as they’re all and crashing upside down and baby stuck in the back and grandma is crawling to the ground, there’s video of Rashid Rice, the great young Chiefs player. There’s video of him like walking away like skulking, I think is the word, away. Well, that happened last summer.
Yeah. His his trial is next January.
It still hasn’t gone to trial yet.
Not till January. And the NFL’s already said, “We’re going to wait and see how the wheels of justice turn.” Well, that means Rasheed Rice gets to play this entire year again. They do what they want. Whereas Ezekiel Elliott with no law enforcement level proof that he ever did anything to his girlfriend. Illegal. No law enforcement level proof. The commissioner was going to spend him for a million games. So, Article 46, watch out. But I doubt it. How about a slap on the wrist or something from the Cowboys? A tongue lashing. Uh, that would be Shotti’s job. Shotti said, “I’m in charge of culture.” I would work on the assumption that Cavante Turpin is at the Star this morning. I would work on the assumption if I’m culture man, he’s in my office this morning. We’re having a good long talk. They have huge plans for Turpin here. They just gave him a new three-year $18 million contract, which yes, that makes it all the more disappointing. Cavante, you made it. Top two spots on the depth chart are Lamb and Pickins, but there’s room underneath there. Remember last year Mike McCarthy second half of the year called him a rocket ship Cavante and started giving him the ball as a running back. Not gimmicks, not jet sweeps. He was a running back. So, he’s catching the ball. He’s running the ball. And of course, he’s the best return man in the game. He ends up last year with 420 yards and two touchdowns on 31 catches and got to run the ball. Quote from Cavante from a few weeks ago. I just want to be coachable and be available. Wonk won. Let my guys believe in me. That’s what I’m here for. Wonk won. I just signed a contract. I’m just trying to be a playmaker. I was for the last two years with the ball in my hand. But this time you had a gun and marijuana in your hand. So drop the gun. Drop the marijuana. Put a ball in this hand. Put a ball in that hand. And get your tail between your legs and go into Shotti’s office this morning and let’s have a good firm talking to but punishment. The Cavante conspiracy that I just told you about, exclusive, exclusive, tells you about how much the Cowboys are going to punish him. They didn’t punish him. They snuck him out the back door of the jail. Fish out.

  1. WHY was he stopped? He wasn't driving erratically. He was not speeding. Headlight or license plate? NO… THEN WHY? There was no charge for DUI, so why mention it? There was no resisting arrest. Sow the cam. NO? This stinks like rotting fish, pun intended. Let's be honest here and not run his character in the mud. DO BETTER fish.

  2. Fish, you are at least smart enough to know that controlled substances and firearms do not mix. It's a shame that the young men you report on can't figure that out.

  3. ALL IS BULL SHT.THE ONLY ISSUES THAT I HAVE WITH THESE GUYS IS THEY SHOULD BE AWARE OF THE MANY PRODUCTS, WAYS OF LIFE THAT THIS COUNTRY MADE LEGAL THAT CAN PUT YOU IN JAIL .

MARIJUANA IS THE NEW . AMERICAN APPLE PIE. NOWADAYS IT IS JUST AS AMERICAN AS THE FLAG.

AND YOU KNOW ABOUT THE GUNS.

SO YOUNG PEOPLE,AND PARTICULAR BLACK MEN BE WISE . STRIVE TO NOT VENTURE INTO PLACES THAT WILL BRING IN TROUBLE BECAUSE THE BOYS OF THE MEDIA NEED JOBS

  4. White people this is a black person law if he were a white guy in Allen Tx he would not have been arrested that’s why this country have so many citizens suffering from depression and anxiety we have forgotten how to relax and enjoy this short life we have

  5. I'm gonna say 95% of NFL players have either a gun or weed or both and 10% probably forgot they had weed in there vehicle this is how 20 years old millionaires act most of them will smarten up over the next 3 or 4 years one way or another

  6. I’m not one to make excuses but driving “while black,” is still something that we blacks have to deal with! I just experienced this earlier in April this year! You can disagree if you choose. To me it shows the lack of integrity those of you that won’t acknowledge the “reality,” of my statement!

  7. Get your homeboy to get your smoke and if u gonna roll with a gun have a license for it but you just cant have smoke with the gun. Hope he learns a lesson it's stupid but it is what's it is.

  8. u cant have a gun and weed in a car together specailly if u have no mmj card clearly he doesnt cuase he wouldnt have been charged but the case will get dropped cuase there was no propbaly cuase to search him now he has to deal with the punishment from jerry n crew lol

  9. If I am shotty I bring in turnpin into the office and tell him straight out this just just cost you a fine and your roster spot you will have earned it back and if you can't bye bye you are done

  10. Laughing out loud, 😂 if you get in trouble, press this button. To pay your bills, push this button. To win the lottery, push this button. I wish it was that easy for us regular dudes. Started laughing Fish, you made my day.

  11. Fish you are wrong on so much… doesn't need a lawyer to get out. Bond was most likely changed to Released on own recognizance. If not… I'm sure he has $1,500 for bail or $150 if he uses a bail bondsman… and no I've never been arrested

  12. No judge reqired to bond out on misdemeanors. The amount of the bonds is standard for the charge. A bondsman probably came to the jail and posted 2 bonds and he was gone before the paperwork was finished. Not unusual. Happens every day.

  13. WHY don't you talk about Robert Kraft and his TWO trips to Orchids of Asia in Jupiter, Florida on the same day to get his "massages"?
Oh yeah, he has all the money in the world to fight these charges which he won.
Let's not forget that he did apologize to his family and friends for doing "nothing"!
The NFL rules are supposedly stronger for Owners and Executives. Even though he got off in more ways than one he received NO sanctions for his actions.
I know NOBODY cares and NOBODY talks about it but at least you should mention it Mr. Fish!

  14. You may be over reacting he could of been released on his on personal recognizance. Also evidence for arrest was probably typical officer violation of guidelines and procedures like what is done to many black people. I also agree with @Christopherstewart1163.

  15. Let's see, it's the Cowboys, it's Jerry who triex to get the comish fired, I'm going with a 4 game suspension. Just don't hold me to it plz.
