Angels vs. Blue Jays Game Highlights (7/6/25) | MLB Highlights

One more game between the Angels and the Blue Jays as the Blue Jays try to complete the sweep and run that winning streak to eight. If they can do it. As mentioned, they are now three ahead of both the Yankees and the Rays. The focus for kevin Gausman and company is on the Los Angeles Angels right now on the mound is righty kevin Gosman in his last start against the Yankees. He allowed just two runs over five innings. He’s been very good and trying to be a little bit more unpredictable with that four seam fastball, moving it up and down and in and out a little bit more. Kevin Gosman looking into Zack Netto, the 12 strike 396 on the outside corner just fed him fastballs for the first out of the day. Perfect pitch down and away. He’s shaking his head as he walks back to that dugout. He was anticipating a split finger in that count but kevin Gossman throws that good fastball down and away for the first out of the inning tall left handed hitter, Nolan Shala two and a fastball just like he did with Netto. A fastball towards the bottom of the zone to strike him out. So back to back strikeouts, both called third strikes and now here’s Mike Trout. Trout had good numbers against Gosman eight for 20. He hits this one pretty well to right back for it is Lodo, he’s all the way back. He’s at the wall and it’s gone. It lands in the ball and opposite field fly for Trout a first inning homer and the Angels lead 1 to 0 giving him his 14th home run eight away from 400 in his career. Good start for the Halos and Trout ties Mickey mantle for the most or for 11th most home runs in the first inning in major league history. Here’s Taylor Ward, the club leader in home runs with 20 and a little jam shot in the left center field is going to drop. So Gosman got it right in on the hands of Ward but he fights it off for a bloop single. Here’s joe Adell 2 to 2, got it splitter there from finally unleashes the first splitter of the day. Punches out of 1 to 0. Los Angeles, bottom of the first Tyler Anderson has been better. His last couple of starts trying to keep that going here today. I really like the way he threw his fastball. A lot more conviction behind that makes that changeup that much better for Taler Anderson trying to pick up his w against Jayson, which will be his first of his career, Clement will start it off for the Blue Jay hitting 400 against left handed pitching so far this year 2 to 2 on Clement and he pops this one shallow right, got a good jump coming in for it and he’s there to make the catch for the first out. Springer will bat. There have been some springer dingers lately, especially against the Angels. Now, 30 career home runs against the Halos for Springer ground ball softly hit in a weird spot when with the backhand and throws out Springer. Now Vladimir Guerrero jr who comes into the game with some very good numbers against Tyler anderson seven for 13 with a couple of doubles. He lines this ball hard to left field and it’s going to be beyond the reach of Ward and guerrero is on his way to second base with a two out double. So he’s at second with two down and now it will be bott grounds one back to the mound as anderson stabs at it and throws out Bichette to end the inning. They leave a runner on and will head to the 2nd 1 to 0 Angels two pitches. Both of them put in play. There’s one on first and now one out for the right fielder. Gustavo Campero still 2 to 2 splitter to get Campero two down , four strikeouts already for go. That’s going to be 9495. And it is the devastating splitter. That’s how you get the swing and miss on that pitch. Great sequencing there by Kirk and Gausman. So now Chad Stevens in just his fourth major league game 1 to 2 swing and a Miss strike three. Gosman gets Stevens on a splitter and that will do it for the top of the second five punchouts already today for Gosman in the top of the second , no runs on a hit for the Angels. Angels up one to 01 out a runner on the bottom of the third. George Springer at the plate grounded out his first time. Springer on three and one pops it up. We’ll see if it stays in play here. Camperos over what makes the catch. He gets that one covered a ton of ground to get to that baseball. It’s really good on pop ups. Generally he’s got to go and Then the reach back what a play he ran to the spot and Then readjusted which outfielders are taught to do good play there by Seawell. The Blue Jays had the one out single but they never got Clement past first base. We are moving on to the fourth. Kevin go back on the hill Taylor Ward with 20 home runs. The line drive to the gap and left center field, a base hit Schneider able to cut it off and get it in 2 to 2 with a couple of singles against the leadoff man on here for the Angels Joe Adell is the batter struck out his first time full count on joe Adell and it looked like ball four. It is off the plate. So gopin walks joe Adell after the base hit by Ward. Now Adell with 17 straight games reaching base safely. His longest streak of his career is the runner at second on at first is Adele Luiso. The batter here’s a ground ball to short and it’s juggled and dropped by Bichette as he tried to start a double play and the bases are loaded. And that’s where if you’re a blue Jay pitcher, if you’re Kevin Gosman, you know how often this defense picks you up. Now it’s time to pick up your shortstop, grounded back to Gausman to the plate for one to first for two big yell from Kevin Gosman who tosses away his gum to the left. He helps out his own cause and it’s a scoreless top of the fourth one. Angels bottom of the fourth and Bechet hits a fly ball deep left field and that is gone. Bobbled a ground ball did not turn the double play. His pitcher, kevin Gosman picked him up and now Bechet picked up his pitcher by drilling one deep into the seats in left to tie this thing up number 12 on the season for Bache. And he, the game two down here’s miles straw on and now straw’s gonna reach and he’s on his way to second. That’ll be a double for miles, straw miles out front but gets the barrel to it, tucks it just inside that third base bag and off the glove of Stevens in scoring position with two down for Joey Lodo and Lodo with a base hit to right on his way to the plate. He will score. Now they’ve got Loper Fido hung up and he is out on the run down of RB I single. Joey Loper Fito after the Boche solo homer and the Blue Jays get two runs on three hits 21 for the Blue Jays 1st and 2nd in a two for two. Taylor Warda lined to right over guerrero. A base hit Stevens comes around to score. Trout goes to third now stuck between second trying to scramble back. Nobody’s covering first. What a swing that was Taylor Ward. He’s had a magnificent game so far. That’s an RB I single rocket three for three ties the game up. He was two thirds of the way out of this inning striking out Neto and shall the walk to Trout? The base hit by Ward and now a walk to Adele to load him up and a ground ball down to third. Clement has it and that will retire the side. It’s a 22 game kevin Gosman back out for the top of the 6th, 22 Blue Jays and Angels, the 22 called strike three goes back to the outside corner with a fastball and it’s his ninth of the day and there is the call. So that is going to be all for Gossman. He’ll go five and two thirds and get a big round of applause from 40,000 plus here at the Rogers Center this afternoon. Bottom of the sixth inning, Alejandro Kirk comes to the plate and the first baseman is holding on Boche at first. This one will get down in left center. Bichette is on his way to third as the pro comes into second two on for the Blue Jays. Nobody out. David Schneider to the plate line to left and that’s a base hit in to score is Bichette up to second goes. Kirk. It’s an RB I single for David Schneider to give the Blue Jays the lead closer Jeff Hoffman is into the ball game for the Blue Jays trying to protect a 32 lead start with the always dangerous mike Trout and down at third, the play made by Addison Barger on the hot corner for out number one right there in position to catch that lineup from Trout would have been a leadoff double. Now Taylor Ward 0 to 2 swing and a miss. He got him out in front on the splitter two down and the fans getting on their feet in downtown Toronto. So they’re an out of way, joe Ale, the batter Addison Barger and it’s a, the Blue Jays Barger won it with his bat yesterday and helped save it with his glove here today. Just the second time in franchise history. They’ve been perfect on a home stand undefeated on a home stand of seven or more. A 32 win for the Blue Jays. And overall, they have run their winning streak to eight.

  1. I have been jays fan for over 35 years and this is one of the few moments I am really enjoying and looking forward to seeing them play in the playoffs

  2. I think the angels have a chance to be a good team and playoff contender but they have too take advantage of opportunities like when the bases are loaded. They really have good moments but they have got unlucky this series losing by one run every game. They have been right around 500 for the last month which is a major accomplishment from last season Looking forward for the angels to start winning and get above 500 and stay that way. 😊

  3. Really… Two broadcasts at once⁉️ I think I know which one I’d prefer hearing by itself ‼️
Well okay….. if “He Tosses His Gum”, comes from the Other broadcast , then I’ll accept both‼️

  4. Wow this years team is very impressive and kinda nice to watch baseball again. Wouldnt it be sweet if the Jays win it ALL and steal Americas game like Florida did in the NHL Oooh that be sweet but the season is long from over.

  5. Hello, im from the UK and love baseball but the rules can be confusing !
Can someone explain the doubleplay in the top of the 4th innings, please?
The pitcher threw to the home plate to get the runner from 3rd out, and then the catcher threw to first to get the batter out.
According to MLB rules, the runner on 3rd base has to be tagged out , not out by the catcher receiving the ball whilst standing on home plate.

  6. Why are Yankees fans so sour…I'm from NYC and I'm a Bluejays fan…our comradary is 2nd to none …we have a team not "one" player❤
