5 years $4.25 AAV. Happy they were able to come to an agreement and keep this man on the Mammoth.

  1. Huge over pay for a guy I love. Hopefully he can improve his offensive numbers going forward.

  2. Overpay for a pure 3C/4C that is not going to go higher in our lineup card over the life of this contract. I like the guy, like the term, like his grit and game… but as a fan who wants to see moves to attract talent and pay our true studs… I’d have liked to see this significantly lower. Like $1.5M/year lower

  3. I understand those saying over pay based on his stats but I think the physical presence he brings is underrated and is going to be important going forward.

  4. His game will still grow. He fits the team model and future right now. Strong physical presence, tall, and can be productive. People say it’s an over pay, but it’s not when the cap increases soon. I see this more as a “I’m a 3 mil guy, but next year I’m about 4 mil” which I think is fair. We have the cap space now, so might as well use it to lock him up. This all appears reasonable and logical

  5. Cap going up, might be an overpay for 1 year but then will become a bargain. Great deal. Better than him becoming a UFA in 2 seasons.
