Rangers vs. Angels Game Highlights (7/7/25) | MLB Highlights
You have two allstars on the bump. I mean, you can’t get any better than that today. It’s a great pitching matchup. Really, if you love baseball, you love good pitching. You got Jacob Deg Grom going against Usay Kikuchi, the two representatives for the All-Star team. On the mound for the Halos, the Allstar 3-6 record, 2.81 ERA is left-hander. Kikuchi bounces it up the middle off Kikuchi’s glove. He scrambles after it and that was a Charlie Brown moment. Hagerty is on with an infield hit, but that hardly tells the story. Glove went flying, a little tumble behind the mound, hat fell off. That was awesome. I mean, you just don’t see that. I mean, we laugh now. He’s upright and moving around. Hagerty a threat to run at first. So, here’s the next batter. And this is Cory Seager. Seven for 10 against the Angels this season along with a home run. There goes the runner. And that one is pounded deep out to center. Adele is back. It is gone. Seager takes Kikuchi to straightaway center and the Rangers jump out two nothing. Well, Cory didn’t miss it and we’ve talked about it before. He is not one who shies away from hitting lefties. And Cory Seager just hit a ball 430 ft. Fivetime Allstar on the mound for the Texas Rangers. First time all-star in a Rangers uniform. Jacob Deg Grom 101 and a third innings pitched. has 100ks, only 21 walks, 191 batting average against him. And Neto on the line drive. There will be no no hit bid for the Gro tonight as Neto puts one down the left field line bidding for a double. He beats the throw from Lenford. You have to take chances, try to get into scoring position just like he did. This pitch to 100 mph inner third might not even been a strike. And Neto just pulls his hands and rotates quickly. It’s a double for Zach Neto. And now Nolan Shawell stands in against Deg Grom and the Chopper will move the runner over at least as a real good job by Sha. That’s a tough pitch to make contact. But if you’re a baseball fan, this is what you’re looking for right here. Trout Deg Grom. Yeah, this is a classic matchup. Two guys that in their primes were the very best possibly that there ever were. Mike Trout, the complete player. Jacob Deg Grom, the complete pitcher. Neto at third, one out. Here’s Mike Trout. And Trap lines one in the gap in left center and hangs up the length to make the catch. Neto’s tagging trying to score. The throw is up the line. So Trap gets an RBI with a sack fly. The Angels get one back. It’s two to one. So here’s Cair who’s trying to get things going at the plate. Is averaged down to 206. He lines one of the gap in left center field. After it is Lenford, he won’t get there as one hops to roll. That was a crocket. Another good swing on his fast ball and a double for Soler. 111 off the bat. Couple extra base hits early on. Moving over to third base now with two outs in the inning is and the Angels need a two out hit from Travis Darno. Now Darno still remains the catcher that Deg Grom has thrown to the most in his major league career. A lot of familiarity here. Darno has homered off Deg Grom. Here’s a fly ball to left over toward the corner. Pretty deep. Langford’s back. He’s still going. It’s gone. Catcher beats pitcher. Travis Darnau off Jacob Deg Gro. A two-run homer. And that streak of two runs or less is already over. Travis Dar. Yes. Halo’s up. Three to two. I guess Travis didn’t forget what Degra was like. No, sticking along right with them there. And that is going to be another leadoff hit in this ball game for Hagerty. Seager draws ball four. They’ve put their first two on to start things off here. The batter will be the cleanup man, Adoleis Garcia. And that one’s lined out to right field. That should get down. It does. Base hit around third base. Hagerty. He’ll score. Seager moves to third on the base hit by Garcia. And Ad Dollies has tied this game. The RBI single makes it three to three. Just what we expected. Two all-star starting pitchers with eras that started with the number two coming into tonight. And it’s tied at three here in the top of the third. Jonah, who’s had a hit so far, his only time up. He will be the next batter. Another hit here would give the Rangers the lead with Seager at third and Garcia at first and one and that’s pulled down the third baseline. Knocked down by Stevens, but there will be no play. Him is on with his second hit of the night. It brings a run to the plate and the Rangers indeed have answered those two runs. They retake the lead four to three. So Degrron issues a second walk in the inning. He walked Trout on nine pitches. He walked Sadell and so the bases are loaded. Two outs. Solair coming up. Mike Maddox’s going to go out to the mound. This is going to be one of those games where whoever can battle and grind it out enough to get their team into the sixth inning with the lead is kind of the goal for both pitchers now. Strike three called slider that just clips the outside corner. So doesn’t like it, but Deg Grom gets out of the inning without any damage. All right, so let’s see how Deg Grom fares now in this fifth inning. Just 10 pitches needed in the fourth. Did he get him on the swing? He did. And that is the third strike out tonight. And a swing and a miss. Fast ball right past Shanowell for the second out of the inning. Backto-back strikeout to left field. Lford won’t kick that. It’s a base hit. So TR had some good swings on Deg Grom tonight. He’s on base for the second time. It’s a two out single. One, two, swinging a miss. Deg Grom strikes him out. Got him with a slider. All three outs here in the fifth via the strikeout. give Deg Grom five for the evening. He makes it through five and the bullpens are involved now with Shawn Armstrong entering here for Texas. It’s a fly ball left center base hit for Redo as he goes the other way and singles with two outs. And Travis Darno will be the next angel batter with two outs here in the sixth. Five ball left center field. Carter is after it. So is Langford. It’s in the gap. It’s deep and it’s off the wall touches and heads home. The relay will not be made. It is made too late and it’s an RBI double for Travis Darno to tie the game. He’s driven in three tonight. A that baseball has some serious carry to it. Boy, Darno has been clutched today. Now the Angels will go to their bench with a lefty Lamont Wade Jr. to pinch hit for Chad Stevens. High drive right center base hit. Here comes Darm up to the plate. Here comes the throw from Carter. It’s up the line and cut off. Lamont Wade Jr. has given the Angels the lead. Not quite late night, but it’s late enough for Lamont Weey Jr., but he delivers a hit that gives the Angels the lead, although the inning does come to an end. Angels back on top now 54. Two outs in the bottom of the seventh. That brings up Mike Trout. Here’s another 3-2 on Trout. And he’s out looking. Doesn’t like the count. Mike Trout doesn’t normally argue. He does say something to the umpire Brock Paloo. And that was really close. Trout thought it was a ball. Oh my gosh, I can’t believe it. Brock Paloo said I was a strike. And by the way, get out of here. Tosses Ray McGomery the skipper. So the Angels got the strike out. Burger did chase, but he ends up at first anyway after a wild pitch. Josh Smith and he hits that one hard out into right field. Now we’ll see if Burger can race around the bases. Beasley’s been waving him the whole way. Here he comes. The throw will not even come to the plate. Smith with the RBI double and he’s tied this game at five. Tell you what, that was the best strike out of the night for the Rangers. Josh Smith coming through here. Bottom of the ninth inning and Luis Renifo will start it off. Wide drive left center base hits the outfielders. It rolls all the way to the wall, but he had second base. He will hold there. It’s a leadoff double here in the bottom of the ninth. Good swing from Renifo going the other way. Ball base hit to left. Reno will stay at third. He did not get a great jump off of second. So it’s a base hit for Newman. And the winning run now at third base for Neto. Now they’re going to intentionally walk Meadow to load the bases. Hobie Milner on to try to keep the door closed here. Angels have the bases loaded. One out. Tie score 55. Milner to face the lefty hitting Nolan Showell on three and two. It’s Baltimore. Say good night to the Rangers. The Angels walk it off. Literally, they win it six to five. Some patience by Sha Wow. A walk-off walk wins it tonight for the Angels here at the Big

Drive Home Safely! Just ANOTHER Halo Victory!
Recently when we have bases loaded, most of our runs are from walks. We almost never get hits with bases loaded anymore.
"Nerves of Steel" Nolan
Yay!!!
Love Angels ❤
I’m incredibly happy 🎉
I could cry…..
We need to have the All Star Game back at the Big A❤❤❤😊😊😊😊😊😊
I wondered why Chanuel was upset, but it turns out Neto was made to walk.
We've become a pretty good team. We didn't lose to deGrom, a Cy Young candidate.
