MLB Highlights | Blue Jays vs. White Sox – July 7, 2025

is drive people in when they’re in scoring position. He pops this one up on the infield and it’ll be the second baseman of Maidroth to make the catch. First out of the ball game. They are now in first place in the East. Swinging a miss. Burke gets him for out number two. And so Bo can be more in a run production area. He lifts a highf fly ball to deep left center field and caught right in front of the wall by the center fielder Brooks Baldwin. Contenders will be interested in a guy like this even if it’s in a part-time role. Strike three call. Burio gets him on the inside corner. And I think most of those guys will sit breaking pitches and just try to react and foul off a fast ball. But not there. Not here. Now, another reason is he gets himself in O2 counts more than anybody because he swings more than anybody, but he’s he’s probably been hitting this way his whole life. Off the glove of Guerrero, bouncing a bit down the line. A run will score. And around to third on the play comes Montgomery and the White Sox have a one to nothing lead. Two and two the count on Rojos. Woo. And now that one goes Bereos’s way. It’s Rojas who’s upset. He’s got a case. But CB Bucknor rings him up and Vlatty is running [Applause] and he is safe. The ball in and out of the glove of Maidroth. One now 3-2 when you see it. 3-1. Fast ball and it’s lined into right. A base hit. Guerrero is getting the wave and will come in to score. The first Blue Jay run of the night. [Applause] Loido with a highf fly ball to right center field deep and it’s gone. And what a couple of games Joey Lopero has had since getting called back up to the big leagues. I think if you just put in on a big league Toronto Blue Jays uniform, some goodness is coming. and Joey Lopeido in back-to back days. Has the rotation had their struggles at times? Absolutely. Look at this. That’s a fair ball. A squibber up the line that’ll bounce into foul territory and Bett’s got himself a double. One, two, and Barter hits a fly ball to deep right field. And this one is gone. Their third home run of the game. Number 12 on the season for Addison Barger. It is five to one. Well, they’re trying everything. They started out with the curve ball, threw a couple of fast balls, went back to the curve ball, and then Addison catches this pitch out front and hammers it into the seats in right field. Loito, he’s got the leg kick that really holds well and it allows him to see that ball a fraction of a second. Long deal, but Kirk just making sure. And now Joey Lopero bounces one in to right. Kirk is in. Straw behind him. Clement around to third. And welcome back Joey Lopero who homered earlier tonight and now adds a two-run single. Nathan Lucas homered his last time up and he gets a bunt down and the run will score. [Applause] a couple of weeks ago from the Marlins swinging a miss from straw. We’ll see if Pena is about to make his Blue Jay debut when we come back. The the one inning guys, the high leverage relievers have been worked so hard this year and he strikes out his first batter as he gets Sosa. One down. And then a fast wall hit to shallow left field. And a nice sliding catch made by Joey Lopero for out number two. [Applause] And this one is lined into left center. That’s a base hit. A sliding stop by Lerido. And Montgomery is going to be held at third on the double by Rojas. Is something that the coaching staff feels is very valuable. Here’s a base hit though through the right side by Tauman and this will cash in a couple of runs to make it eight to three. Well, Pet just couldn’t get out of it. We talked about what a tough hitter TMAN is at the top of this White Socks order and it’s a sinker. Mining into left center, a base hit. Vargas will come in to score. Around to third is Teal. Well, it’s an RBI single. It is 8 to four. And that one will get past Guerrero and down the line. Mike Tman is having a night. This is his third hit. He’s into second with a one out double [Applause] to left field, but it is caught by Joey Lerido on the track. And that’s the ball game. The White Socks made it a little bit closer than the Blue Jays would have liked them to, but the Blue Jays will win it 8 to four. [Music]

The Toronto Blue Jays extended their winning streak to 9 games as they took down the Chicago White Sox by a score of 8-4. Nathan Lukes, Addison Barger and Joey Loperfido all contributed home runs for the Jays.

  1. Schneider getting a bit high on his own supply by pulling Berrios after 18 outs on 76 pitches. No reason to ask your low leverage guys to get you 9 outs in this game and low and behold, game ends with the closer warming up

  2. In NHL hockey ; they show the goals, up to 4 times. NOT here, with baseball highlights….- Continue on with the game………..*just an Observation >
