Ace Bailey goes off for the Utah Jazz against the Memphis Grizzlies | Hoops Nerd Show

Ace Bailey has arrived. Looking like AC McGrady. Let’s talk about it. It’s the Hoops Nerd Show. All right, guys. The haters have been quieted. The doubters have been dismissed. Ace Bailey has arrived for the Utah Jazz and it was excellent tonight. There was a lot to be happy about if you’re a Jazz fan. First off, this game was hectic and you got to give credit to the Memphis Grizzlies who came out in this summer league game absolutely just trying to just create as much chaos and defensive advantage as they could. It was a great test for this Utah Jazz team. And I’ll be honest, some players passed and some did not. There was there’s a lot to talk about in this one. Uh I guess do we talk about Ace Bailey now? Later? Do we talk about him now and later? Do we just talk about him the whole time? Yeah. Uh I want to talk a little bit about a few things and then we’ll get to Ace. Um Elijah Harkas played better tonight. It was a The player that I was really disappointed with was Isaiah Collier. Anyone who goes and looks at the box score, they might see five for eight from the field. He took one three and missed it. I could not have been more disappointed with how Isaiah Collier played tonight. He ended the game with five assists and three steals. And if you look at that, you’ll be like, “Oh, that’s pretty good.” It was the most selfish play I’ve seen in like a while. I was so disappointed. It was so clear that he had one goal tonight and that was to score the ball and to try to get to the basket. That’s all he was doing. He was not looking to set up the offense. He was not looking to set up others. I’m actually pretty shocked he had five assists tonight. Let’s see. I got to make sure. Is this the right Yeah, it’s the Memphis Grizzlies. That’s tonight. I want to make sure, guys, because because identical assists tonight for Walter Clayton Jr. as last night. Yep. Six assists for Walter Clayton Jr. It was not good from Isaiah Collier. And if he is going to do that, he is going to lose minutes and he’s going to lose time on the floor with this Jazz team as they get better cuz it was bad. It was just selfish basketball, not playing within the offense, not setting up his teammates. I don’t know what the deal is, but it was not good. And you know, I like Isaiah Collier and some of the things he does. He’s tough. He plays hard. You got to love the speed and strength and things like that, but the shooting’s got to be better. And he’s not focused on the shooting. And I think he could get better, but maybe he I don’t know. I just was really disappointed. And I’m going to talk about that and why it was really impressive for what Ace Bailey did tonight considering how selfish Isaiah Collier was. It was not great. Um, let’s see. Uh Kyle Filipowski not great tonight as well. Although he did end with 13 rebounds, 11 points. He did have a better second half. He was putrid in the first half. Just terrible, terrible, terrible, terrible. And so Philipowski does better in the second half, but man, he just does not does not have the defensive presence that you would want. It’s just not great. Ace to the place. Is that KG10? Uh, I forgot the name already. Uh, it was just not it was not good. And I I don’t know. There’s not a lot out one of so strong. Bryce Sensaba, let’s just talk about Bryce. He was um he’s his shooting is incredible. It really is. Like he has one skill right now and he does it extremely well and that is shoot the ball. specifically the three. He is an just a phenomenal shooter and some of the numbers from his shooting last season just overall in the NBA. He actually is showing up big time percentages wise in the league. Like he just he’s up there with like like you look at the percentages and the volume and it’s like Curry is on he’s on that same. It’s crazy pretty eyeoping stuff. It’s kind of all he does, but he did it well tonight. He did some other scoring tonight, which was nice to see. He did take 14 shots. Um, six for nine from three though. Nice. And then, uh, 9 for 14 from the field overall. Just the scoring was really, really good for him. He’s just got to figure out how to be better. And uh one thing that he did do uh that I guess we just got to talk about it a little bit is well he improved it in the second half but he did it again. It is crazy how much he turns the ball over. KG3 to tho is uh is is retired. It’s now ace to the place. Uh Sensiba shoots it well. He turned it over five times and it was like in the first quarter guys. It was just like, holy smokes. And part of that was the Grizzlies just going crazy. And there’s no foul limit in summer league. So, some of this is probably a little inflated. Uh, but it’s just he’s got to figure out a way to not turn the ball over. If he cannot turn the ball over and just be a scorer, there’s no reason why he can’t be like uh who’s the player that shoots the ball so well? Um, oh, I forgot his name. The really good shooter that went to the Golden State Warriors this year. I can I can think of his face. Why can’t I think of his name? Um, anyways, he can become an elite shooter for for this Jazz team. He’s just got to stop turning the ball over. And if he can be a positive player on the defensive end, too, then you’ve got yourself a shooting guard that can be really great for you. Really great. If you can shoot the ball like that and spread the floor, that just helps out everyone else. So, it’s nice to see. I don’t think we need to see much more of Bryce Sensibah. I we’ve seen what we need to unless the Jazz want him develop to develop the other aspects of his game, but I think he’ll be able to get that just in the NBA game. I don’t know if there’s really a lot else we need to see from Sensaba. It’s nice to see he is a proven scorer at this point. And so the the goal for Sensaba at this point, it breaks the summer league record 377 points, which is awesome. He was also a team leading minus 12. Stop turning the ball over and defend. And if he can do that, then you’ve got yourself a real weapon. Buddy healed. Buddy healed. That’s who I would compare him to. There’s no reason why he can’t be buddy healed. Why can’t he be buddy healed, right? Just elite elite shooter. Can shoot in every aspect. Uh catch and shoot, pull up, all of it. And no reason why Sensabot can’t be that. But he cannot be that if he’s turning the ball over and he can’t be that if he’s not defending. It looks like he’s defending better though. So that’s nice to see. Ace to the place. One of the top fans, baby. Thank you, my guy. My guys, all the people that subscribe, all the people that uh are joining the channel. It’s incredible. Thank you so much for supporting the channel. It’s growing. I’m excited. We had like almost 400 subscribers this month. I’m pretty excited about the growth, guys. Turns out if I make videos it’s it’s a good thing. Uh anyways, Isaiah Collier, Bryce Sensib, Philipski, we uh we’ve talked a little bit about the bad. Let’s talk about the good. And we’ll get to Ace Bailey soon. Uh Walter Clayton Jr. turned the ball over six times, five times in the first half. It was a little rough and so he got benched a couple times in the first half, but he played better in the second half. He was much better and he led the team in assists. He really does have a calming presence. To me, it’s the Stockton effect, right? I’m not comparing him to John Stockton, but I do, it’s my own little theory. It’s the Stockton effect. And if you watch John Stockton play on a regular basis, you’ll know what I’m talking about. It’s not the assists. It’s not the all those things, which that’s part of it. What it was was when John Stockton was on the floor, he had a calming effect on everyone else because everything fell into place. It was one of the big things about John Stockton and made him so good. That probably needs to be talked about more. Yes, the assists were incredible, but it was the fact that when John Stockton got on the floor, the team was going to play the way they needed to play to win. The ball was going to move. the ball was not going it was not going to be selfish basketball. He demanded everyone to play a certain way and he commanded the ball in a way that said we’re going to play the right way. And Walter Clayton has that a little bit where he gets on the floor and it has a calming effect. When you have like Isaiah Kier just barreling to the basket 100 miles an hour and Bryce Sens just like gunning it and gunning it and you’ve got guys just kind of wide open ready for shots and they’re not getting them. It’s not good. Walter Clayton comes on the floor and immediately things kind of fall into place. Players are getting the ball when they need it. The the the Jazz are playing their offense. They’re playing the right way. And that’s what’s really impressive to me about Walter Clayton is he’s uh coming from Florida. And I guess we shouldn’t be surprised because he was a absolute like literal winning player with Florida. They win the national championship. He has that effect and he is a big shot taker and big shot maker. Right? As Jerry S Jerry Sloan said back in the day, I don’t I don’t want shooters, I want makers, right? I don’t want shooters, I want makers. And Walter Clayton Jr. is a maker and he is a calming effect on the floor. He’s got that kind of it factor. Now he’s a his size was a little bit apparent, maybe very like a little like Stockton where it’s a little smaller. He’s going to have to figure out how to be effective. He got blocked by GI Jackson on that one pull-up three. You know, it’s a little bit of a welcome to the NBA moment where you’re, you know, it’s different when you’re being guarded by GI Jackson in the G in the in the summer league, right? I mean, we’re in the summer league and you’re being guarded by an athletic, long, and 6’10 Gi Jackson. and he blocked that shot. You know, it’s a different world. So, he’s going to have to acclimate just like every other rookie does. But my goodness, does he understand the game? He’s tough. He defle I I was surprised they only credit him with one assist or with one steal cuz I swear he had like two or three pretty nice deflections. Uh only one steal tonight. Six assists. I’m I don’t know. Should have been I feel like he earned at least two or three assists with his deflections, but he plays hard defense. He does. He’s just a smart, good, gritty, tough player. True grit. Um, but anyways, I was really happy with Walder Clayton Jr., guys. We’re seeing some legitimate life from Cody Williams. Cody Williams was legitimately nice tonight. He goes six for 10 from the field, five for five from the free throw line, meaning he got to the line. He took five free throws. Uh, Bryce Sensabot took 14 free throws tonight, by the way. Uh, so you got to give Sensiba credit. He was getting to the line. That’s an a highly efficient night for Sensaba. Uh, Cody Williams. Oh my goodness, my heated blanket. My blankie went cold. Anyways, uh, I went cold, but you know who didn’t go cold? Cody Williams. Cody Williams was six for 10 from the field. He was 1 for three from three. 18 points for Cody Williams. Two rebounds. uh and a block. So, he didn’t do a lot else. One thing I’m really kind of impressed with what I’m seeing from Cody Williams is the handle. Like I He looks pretty good handling the ball coming up. I tell you what, the way Isaiah Collier was playing and I know Cody Williams was kind of trying to be aggressive and I it really does feel like the Jazz said, “We want you to be aggressive and he’s showing it.” And it’s what’s nice is that it’s been effective. you know, he’s not getting played off the floor. I felt like he played pretty decently last game, too. So, this is nice to see Cody Williams doing well. Doing pretty well. 60% from the field. Not bad at all. I You could say that’s good. Uh and then, yeah, just having a nice presence on the floor. He was a plus six. The only one who had a better plus minus, which by the way speaks to how nice he played, the Stockton effect, Walter Clayton Jr., Walter Clayton Jr. and Cody Williams along with Elijah Harkless. Give Elijah Harkless some credit tonight for bouncing back. Led the team in plus minus. So really nice to see and you can just see like it’s not going to be that difficult for Cody Williams be to become an effective NBA player. He’s got the length. He’s got the size tonight and in this game, we’re seeing that he’s got a handle. He can actually handle the ball if he’s playing with aggressiveness and confidence. if the shooting comes around, you’ve got yourself a player because he he he’s long and he defends pretty well. And so if you have players on the floor like Cody Williams, Ace Bailey, Taylor Hendricks, if these guys are on the floor, you’ve got length, you’ve got size, you’ve got athleticism, it’s doesn’t take very long for the defense for Utah to turn around and become something much better. last two seasons, Utah Jazz ranked number 30 in the NBA in defensive e efficiency, the worst defense in the NBA. You can see what Utah’s trying to do. It’s why getting Ace Bailey was an absolute miracle on, you know, everyone talks about the scoring and the difficult shot taking, but Ace Bailey had a positive effect with Ruckers on the defensive end of the floor, and we’re seeing that now with the Jazz. He he’s a good defender. ism for Utah. You start filling the team with those types of players, all of a sudden things get really interesting. I mean, on you know, I I don’t know what’s going to happen. I don’t think Utah’s done. By the way, I guess I need to make a video about um about the John Gollins trade, which I loved. Uh but you look at a lineup of Cody Williams, Ace Bailey, Taylor Hendris, Walker Kesler. I mean, it’s not a stretch to think that this Jazz defense becomes pretty darn good pretty fast. That’s athleticism, length, and size at like every position. And then if you’ve got that type of type of length and size at all those different different positions, then someone like Walter Clayton Jr. who’s not very big, can be on the floor. And if Clayton’s playing hard defense like he did, you know, it’s fine. His size makes it difficult for him to be anything more than kind of like an average to above average defender. But you know what? There’s good defenders out like I Why can’t Clayton be a good defender? You watch like any of you watch the finals and and watch the Indiana Pacers this year, a guy like like uh Nemhard, who’s not very big either, defended really well. So why can’t Clayton as well? He’s got the fire and toughness. He’s got that dog in him. And so why can’t it be something great? And I actually think that that’s a pretty good sign and a good drafting philosophy for this Jazz going forward that we draft guys that defend that are long, that are athletic, and that are big and have good size for their position. Yes, Walter Clayton doesn’t have good size for his position, but he does defend. He does play hard, super competitive, and he is also a good shot maker. And then, yeah, if Cody Williams shoots it, Ace Bailey shoots it well. Taylor Hendricks, we know he can shoot it. If you have that’s the basically the Boston Celtics model, right? Length, size, athleticism, defense, and shooting at every position. Can you dribble, shoot, pass? Can you defend? Are you tough as nails? That’s how you been build winning teams. And not just like cute, gimmicky teams like the Donovan Mitchell, Rudy Gobear teams. This is the teams that can go into the playoffs and have versatility. They can defend any type of team they’re up against, not just teams that have specific types of of teams. You want a team that can defend anybody that says, “You know what? I don’t care what you’re putting on the floor. We got dogs. We’re sending the dogs after you.” Right? Utah’s building a team that’s definitely looking like that. You imagine if Utah goes into this upcoming season, which they’re, you know, Utah’s going to lose some games. It’s just summer league. Utah’s going to lose. They’re okay with that. I’m very okay with that. Imagine they add someone like Darren Peterson to the guard spot. Could you imagine how good the Jazz would be if Walter Clayton is an absolute winner and then uh he’s coming off the bench. Could you I mean, here’s the thing, guys. This is what I tried to preach for so long. The gospel of of the basketball gospel of James uh book one chapter 1 verse one. If you build if you tank and you tank correctly, you will fill your team with elite level talent. And it does not take long for that talent to develop into a great basketball team if you fill your team with that talent. But thou must have faith in the process. If thou breakest the process, you will find yourselves in mediocrity, much like the the Chicago Bulls and the Sacramento Kings and other teams like the Phoenix Suns that broke those promises to their fans and now they find themselves in purgatory. It’s not very long, guys, for this Utah Jazz team, if they fill this team with this type of talent that they become really good really fast. If Ace Bailey is as good as he looked tonight and can just improve on what he is, and then you add like a Debonsa or a Peterson, by the way, go watch the Darren Peterson film. Holy smokes is that guy going to be good. Holy smokes. or Cam Boozer who are is being compared to Tim Duncan. If you add that type of guy with Ace Bailey at the three and you have length and toughness and defense at every position, oh hallelujah, you start winning a lot of basketball games and that’s how dynasties begin, right? And then if Utah gets this top guy next year, they will have cap space based off of the trades they have been doing. They will have open cap space. So Darren Peterson joins the Jazz and he’s the lead guard and you’ve got Ace Bailey. Oh my gosh. Oh my gosh. I don’t even want to say it because I don’t want to jinx it, but if you’ve got Darren Peterson leading the way looking like a more athletic Shay Gilis Alexander out there with Ace Bailey on the wing and then you’ve got more like just Taylor Hendris and all these different athletic players shooting the ball, defending, and then you go to you go into cap space and you’re filling in the gaps with your cap space. You’re building the team you need to build to win. And then guess what? 2027, you’ve got the Lakers pick coming in. You’ve got 2028 the the you’ve got the swaps with Cleveland and you’ve got the swaps with with Minnesota and you’ve got your own pick in 2028 and one of those hits and then the 2031 Suns pick all of a sudden Utah starts looking like the Oklahoma City Thunder this year very quickly where you’ve got absolute dogs at every position. You’ve got talent, young athletic dominant talent and then you just kind of run through the Western Conference. You just bulldoze teams and you’re just better than everybody. And that’s what the Jazz are building. It’s exciting. If we get that top three pick this year, guys, you’re looking at Dynasty. Dynasty. And yeah, that’s off of two summer league games. Come at me. I don’t care. By the way, all the Sixers fans, where you at, bro? Where you at? I don’t see you in the comments tonight. Not a single one. Sixers fans, I remember back in the day with Donovan Mitchell and Ben Simmons. I don’t think that hatred has gone away. That hatred’s back and it’s strong and I missed it. Get in them comments. Say what you will. Ace Bailey’s arrived, baby. He’s arrived. And guess what? When VJ Edgecom’s getting put on the bench and Ace Baileyy’s winning rookie of the year, you ain’t going to be saying nothing in my comments. Philadelphia Sixers fans, you can ducks me all you want, baby. I don’t care. I’m going to be here. Talking about the Jazz. Yes, mama. I got to stop yelling. It gives myself the hiccups. But by the way, screw Sixers fans and your hate. Get out of town. Just kidding. If you want to watch the channel, that’s great. All right, it’s time. It’s time. Yeah, ace to the place. Thank you, my man. So much. $2. Philly fans have been deep six. Get back in Philly, baby. Go cry yourself to sleep over another JoelMPed. Joel Med his pants. Joel MB dmped. Joel DMPed. More like it, baby. Can’t stay healthy. But you know who’s going to be good? The Utah Jazz. The Utah Jazz. You can deal with that. Okay. Ace is the place. Looking like AC McGrady out there. He was hooping. He was like hanging with Mr. Cooper tonight. Omar Cooper was happy. Jazz fans were happy. We’re all in a good place cuz Ace Bailey looks legit. And considering how selfish Isaiah Collier was, Bryce Sensipa was not interested in passing the ball to Ace Bailey. And despite all that, despite the Jazz running like one play for him, he still went 50% from the field, 60% from three, seven rebounds, three assists, zero zero turnovers. Utah had 16 turnovers in the first half. How many did Ace Bailey have for the entire game? Zero. Zero, baby. Nothing. 18 points. That was literally just being unfeatured. He said, “You know what? I’m going to go and I’m going to offensive rebound the ball and score.” He had four offensive rebounds. And what that tells me, this is what’s exciting about that, guys. What you want to see with these potential stars and why I think Ace Bailey might be a star is that he did this it was not even featuring he was not featured at all like at all and he scored 187 and three. What happens when they’re running plays for him? What happens when they give him the ball at the top of the three-point line and say get to work? By the way, his handle was looking good tonight. you know, all the all the things that people were saying about Ace Bailey and I just I can’t say enough. But, okay, I got to keep my thoughts in order here. I can’t lose I can’t we got to talk about all of the things. But first, the athleticism, size, and just physical dominance was there. And that’s how he was able to score the points tonight because he was just physically more dominant than the players on the floor. There was no size shock. He just out. He just big boyed everybody and got those offensive rebounds and then just crammed it like shack. The knees in the air, ripping the hoop down. It was awesome. That was without being featured at all. At all. The Jazz didn’t do him any favors again tonight. And he still scored 18-7 and three. He’s got the physical tools to be dominant, to be a star. He can do it. It you can see it. Just the ability for him to physically, athletically with the physical tools to do it, it was incredible. He is he has got what you need to be a star. On top of that, what were the what were the the knocks on Ace Bailey in the pre-draft process? Was the handle’s not very good enough? Now, I saw one play where he drove from the basket, the ball slipped out a little bit from his hands. There is a little bit of that when he drives to the basket, but I tell you what, overall the handle tonight, not too bad. And if he can just get that handle right, get low, baby. Ace, get low. Get those knees bent. Get that butt down. Put that ball between your legs. He was doing it. Zero turnovers for a guy who was who they said could not like handle the ball. Zero turnovers. Pretty good. There are guys that he doesn’t have to have the best handle in the league. He doesn’t need to be Kyrie Irving. He doesn’t need to be that. What but what he can be is Jaylen Brown. He might be just as good as Jaylen Brown and maybe he gets better. The thing that makes me kind of feel not too worried. I think he can get there is he’s got a long wingspan, you know, and he gets low and he’s so smooth. Like he’s so smooth. He really does look like Tracy McGrady out there. He really does. He’s got the size, the length, the physical dominance. He’s got the smoothness and then the athleticism to boot. It’s really great. And he is only touching the surface. Like he’s not really driving to the basket. What happens when he’s driving to the basket and just cramming it on people? What happens when that running a pick and roll at the top of the three-point line, right? And if he gets that shot just even more just knockdown shooter, it’s just it’s it’s exciting stuff. Let’s just say that. Uh I I’m really impressed with the handle. I I guess not really impressed, but I feel like it can get better. We’re seeing that it can do and be if he just keeps working on it. And it just shows that there is so much for him to unlock if he improves it. Uh, the other thing, and this was something that just needs to be talked about more, but sorry, we’re going wait. All right. All the heat from my my blankie. Uh, these are thing the we saw the offensive rebounding, but we the fact that Ace Bailey is rebounding the ball like he does and defending like he does. Like not only does he have this size, but if you watch him on those perimeter defensive plays, he’s getting around screens and defending guards. He’s got a chance to be a nice defender. And if he’s defending the ball at the level that he was showing tonight and rebounding the ball, offensive rebounding, you know who’s going to love that offensive rebounds is is Will Hardy. if he’s on the floor and and getting offensive rebounds like that and he’s got a knack for the ball. I mean, it’s there’s some times where players aren’t able to show things in college that they do in the NBA game. and him showing that ability to rebound the ball and defend is pretty exciting. But especially the rebounding cuz he’s showing that maybe when he was in college, you know, it’s such a the the game is much more condensed and you’re not able to do quite as much cuz it’s not a spread floor, but if Ace Bailey is is getting and finding open spots in NBA floors and rebounding the ball cuz he’s bigger and more athletic than who’s on him, that’s exciting stuff. And Will Hardy’s going to love that. Will Hardy loves to crash the offensive boards. He loves to have Walker Kesler get offensive rebounds, but if he has like, you know, Walker Kesler and Taylor Hendricks and Ace Bailey crashing offensive rebounds, my goodness, who Utah might lead the NBA in offensive rebounding and it will help their offensive efficiency. That stretch when Utah traded Donovan Mitchell and Rudy Gobear and they came out and won all those games. Part of the reason their offense was so efficient was their offensive rebounding was crazy. They were just getting all these free easy points doing that and Utah could do that too. So really exciting. But the just the defense from him, the rebounding creates such a higher floor. Like what if Ace Bailey becomes an alldefensive team guy that makes him so valuable, you Oh, and if he figures out all the different elements of his offensive game, the handle, um, the the I’m one of my figures fell down. God dang it. Casey Jones fell down. But anyways, if he can figure all that out, he becomes really, really nice. It’s really exciting stuff, guys. I’m so over the moon. I can’t believe it. And he didn’t even get featured tonight. He wasn’t even featured. They didn’t even run plays. He had Isaiah Kier and Sensab doing everything they could to not send him the ball. 99 cents. Robert Hall, thank you so much. He’s got that dog in him. Definitely got that dog in him. So guys, that was a blast. I just It’s time to get excited about Ace Bailey. I cannot wait to watch him tomorrow. I hope he doesn’t rest. They might rest him. Who knows? But I really kind of hope when we go to Vegas that Sensaba isn’t playing because I want to see Ace Bailey get more buckets and I want him to be a sensation in Vegas summer league because I want him to get the rookie of the year. I want this to become the beginning of a magical moment for us. Oh, and by the way, I just want to give this thought. I might do a video on it, but are we sure that Taylor Hendris can’t play center for this Jazz team? Everyone’s talking about all the muscle and it’s very apparent he’s gotten like jacked. That was the question because, you know, we know what he can do defensively. He’s 6′ 8 and a half without shoes. So 69, 610. Can he play center? That was just something I’ve been thinking about and I talked about it last year a little bit, but with him getting so strong, maybe he can withhold uh and be strong enough to kind of withstand some of the how tough it is to play inside. I by the way that is with Philipowski is just not a it is not good. The inside presence of Philipki is not there. He is a power he is a four. It’s basically what he has to be. Uh, but anyways, just something to think about because that spreads the floor for everyone else. Uh, just something I’m thinking about. I I really have high hopes for Taylor Hendricks. Maybe too many high hopes. I cannot wait to watch Taylor Hendrickx get on the floor. I cannot wait to watch him with Ace Bailey and um and you know, Cody Williams honestly looked pretty good. What if Cody Williams figures it out? Are we seeing Cody Williams just kind of figure it out? He had a rough rookie season and if he starts shooting the ball well, playing with more confidence, defending, why not? It would be so nice to see that turnaround. All right, guys. I think that’s pretty much everything. Uh, if you’re new here, make sure you like and subscribe to the channel, guys. I want to give a shout out to the Allstars tonight. Let’s give a shout out to Baby Elliot Madson, Ryan Edward Perry, the legend. Oh, wait. No, we got to do this right. We did this wrong. We got to do this right. There we go. Like I said, thank you for all the the subscribers, but also especially the members of the channel who support everything I’m doing. I really appreciate it. Like and subscribe to the

It’s game 2 of the Salt Lake City Summer League and Ace Bailey had a night. Considering he did this with teammates not giving him the ball, it was pretty remarkable. If Ace Bailey just gets featured with the Jazz this season, there’s no reason he can’t be a monster for the Jazz as they go through this upcoming season.

  1. Honestly, I don’t care about Sensabaugh, I’m all in on the ace train. Give me more ace! Put the ball in Aces hands more!!!!

  2. I'm thinking about what the Jazz will do with Markanen. Keep him? Trade him? I mean, it's clear that Ace is going to be the league's superstar face and 7' when full grown when at age 21. Ace is getting media treatment enjoyed by 18 year old LeBron. Why? I think the secret is out.
Let Dallas have Cooper, Ace has a chance to be ROY.
If they do keep Lauri, then you have twin towers for a couple years similar to when the Spurs drafted Duncan and he joined the Admiral in twin towers situation.

  3. Good comp in Buddy Hield for Sensabaugh. He’s becoming a sniper. Can’t leave him open or it’s good. I’m hoping for more of an Aaron Nesmith (Pacers). He’s gotta get his defense going tho

  4. If you had #1 pick next year based on how you want the the Jazz to pick in the draft who are you taking this early between Dybantsa, Peterson, and Boozer?

  5. Ace Bailey, he’s got it all. Man, only 18. Crazy. He could easily be the best player out of all of the Ainge’s drafts when it’s all said and done. Big star potential. How bout that quick release three he had , never bringing it down past the shoulders ? Oh my. Can’t wait to see him in 4/5 years at 23 or so

  6. Ace looked so good even with bryce not passing or never taking a shot to bad he cant do that alot and then play defense or turn over the ball

  7. wake up and smell the fresh air. Utah roster has not single player who has star potential, not even ACE! so called young talent KeyNote, BS, Collier, Filipowski etc: they are players who would be 8-10 player in a successful nba team

  8. Your infectious optimism is making me laugh out loud at 3 am (night shift) and its a breath of fresh air. I'm taking a break from the internets negativity for the Jazz and agreeing with you 100% on their potential to be great very soon. Thanks soooo much. Your comments were much needed and much appreciated! Keep it up!
