Phillies vs. Giants Game Highlights (7/7/25) | MLB Highlights
On the hill tonight for the Giants will be the right-hander landed Rub six and five with a 348 erra. Lifetime against the Phils one and0. Turner rolls one softly to short. Adamus charges has it. Throws a first and just in time to get Turner. Kyle Schwarber the batter. He was four for 12 last time these two teams faced each other. One two pitch. Schwarber went around strike three. Tried to hold up on a high fast ball. Couldn’t do it. Two down. That was a fourseamer from Root. Here’s Bryce Harper. Harper pulls one into right field. A base hit. It’s been a tough go since he came off the injured list, so that’s a good sign to get a base hit. Here’s Alec Bow. The line to right side retired. Sanchez 7-2 with a 2.68 erra. And yes, those are allstar numbers. 108 strikeouts in 1023 innings. Good change up. Swung on and foul tipped. First strike out for Sanchez. He dazzled him with that devastating change up. Good action on him. Here’s Raphael Des, the former Red Sox. Off the hands to the Phillies first baseman and Sanchez there to cover. There’s Willie Adamus. Swing and a miss. He got him with a change up. A pair of strikeouts for Sanchez here in a one, two, three first. So Chapman only things off. 2-1. Chapman a hard smash up the middle. Base hit. Wow, did he hit that hard. Chapman is aboard now. Wilmer Flores. Flores, 33 years old, hitting .241 with 11 home runs. Base hit right field. And that’s the approach I think you have to have against Sanchez with that change up. Think right field. 3-1 count to Casey Schmidt. Scoreless in the bottom of the second. The pitch is low. Ball four. So Schmidt takes the walk. And that’s his first walk. He went four straight starts without issuing the walk. And the bases are loaded for Jungu Lee. Swing and a miss. He got him. Now that’s a good change up. Third strike out. And now it’s Moss, the number eight batter. Mtos rolls one on the ground softly. Turner will charge and the ball kicks away from his glove. Rolls towards second and actually picks it up with his foot on the bag and gets the out at second base. MTO safe at first and Chapman is in to score. It’s one- nothing Giants. Trey was just trying to be too quick. Fortunately, when he bobbled it, he bobbled it right towards Bryson. At least got that force. Didn’t cause any more damage. The number nine batter, Patrick Bailey, the batter with two outs. Ground ball to third. Bone charges and the inning is over. Just one run for the Giants after the bases were loaded with nobody out. One out. And here’s Raphael Devers. DeS hits a high pop up way up there. Shallow right field. Sto going out. The wind blowing it and nobody catches. It falls between Castanos and Stodd and Des is aboard at first. Two outs for Chapman. Now he swings and drives this one to center field. Marsh goes back, gets turned around, dives, and he can’t catch it. And then it bounces up over the wall. De’s coming around third and he’s not going to be allowed to score. Well, I don’t know how that thing bounced over the wall. It was kind of knuckling and Marsh got turned around, lunged to his left and he didn’t catch it and then somehow even though it bounced and maybe hit his glove, it skipped over that wall. Here’s Wilmer Flores. Swing and a miss. He got him. A big strike out. The fourth of the game for Christopher Sanchez. So that’s the second walk in the last four hitters. And one out for Castianos. This is on the ground. Schmidt Adamus not in time and so the inning will continue and that’ll bring Max Kepler to the plate. Ground ball back toward the second base side. Adamus has it. He just chucks it over to first on one hop. Not in time. A base hit for Kepler. Well, now JT is coming up. The two pitch to Real Muto is pulled on the ground to third. I think he broke his bat. Chapman’s got it. throws to first in time for the out and RP works around the walk and the hit. Phillies leave two. We go to the fifth inning. Bryson Scott rolls that one to first and oh, it took a weird hop. It’s off the foot of Flores into foul territory. Stocks on his way to second and he’ll get there standing with a double. A leadoff double here in the fifth inning. That took a wicked hop on Flores. Yeah, this is like a little like a fade bounce. I mean, the ball checked up on him and went to his right hard and he tried to play kick save on it. It wasn’t a be and it was not a be. Goes right through the five hole. Here’s his O2. Marsh grounds one to the right side. Schmidt has it. He’ll throw to first to get the out, but moves to third. So, Brandon Marsh, I think, as the ninth place hitter, he’s going to get some high fives coming back in that dugout. That’s a team at bat. He moves the tying run to third with only one out. And Trey Turner and the Phillies now with a great chance to tie this game. That one gets away. And here comes Bryson. Get away, Kyle. And Bryson scores standing on a wild pitch. And it’s a 1-1 game. It doesn’t matter how it happens, just that it does. And like Rwood just just held on to this. Looked like a change up. He held on it too long and bounced it up there to Bailey with that one knee down. It’s very difficult to slide over there to make the play. So in a one-1 ball game, leadoff hitters become big big momentum makers if they can get on base. So this 3-2 pitch is a big pitch for Lease. Opposite way. There’s a base hit for JT. Good AB there by JT and he’s aboard to start the seventh. Here’s Bryson Scott with a runner at first base. They’re in at third guarding against the bunt. And the bunt is down. Lucasy will throw to first with it. And Scott moves the runner into scoring position. The Phillies decide to stay with Brandon Marsh at the plate here. They’ve got plenty of right-handed options on the bench. On the ground off of the leg of Lu Casey, chases after it, picks it up and flips to first to get the out on the play. Rio Mutoo went to third. Trey Turner comes up. Turner who has one hit tonight. Turner straight shot swinging and the Phillies leave the go-ahad run at third. Two down. Deers is one for three. You got to believe he’s going to go back outside for something. Swing and a miss. He got him with a change up. Eight strikeouts on the change up tonight. Seven innings, one run for Christopher Sanchez. 16 straight games where he’s allowed three runs or fewer. So, two outs. Schwarber has to stay put and the batter will be Castillianos is hit to right field. Moss angles back. He’s got room. He’ll catch it. And another scoreless inning from Tyler Rogers even with the leadoff hit. for the Giants. Maybe the best news of the night is Christopher Sanchez is out of the game. New pitcher now for the Phillies. You see Orion Kirkring, his 40th appearance on the year. Way inside, man. A slider and Adamus. He actually did get hit. It puts the winning run potentially the go-ahead run for sure on base with nobody out. And a base hit to right field. Adamus the third. And given the extra shot at it, at Chapman makes him pay. And Wilmer Flores comes up here for the Giants. He gets hit high and tight. Another hit batter. Now the bases are loaded with nobody out. Casey Schmidt against Kirkerin. The pitch hits a chopper. Slow hit towards short. Turner will field. Flipped to second for the out. The throw to first. Not in time. And Adamus comes in to score. Two to one Giants. and he hit it softly enough to where Turner angling over to his left had no chance to spin around and come home. His only play was to shovel it back to second and get it out. I don’t have to tell you who’s coming up. The Giants fans are telling you it’s Jung Hu Lee. An extra run would be huge. Lee pulls it to first. Harper on a knee, fields, throws home, and it’s offline. Chapman scores. Three to one Giants. Man, Lee off the bat that looked like a hit and Harper played hockey goalie and made a pretty good throw. It was just far enough offline to where Real Muto took it. Tried to get the tag back on Chapman and he couldn’t get it there in time. Chapman excellent base running with a head first slide and the Giants lead is three to one. Camille Dval comes in. The walk total has been the blemish on the card and it’ll be important that he can establish in his mind that he could throw a strike early in this inning. Ball four tying runs coming to the plate. It’s JT two- two pitch. Real Mutoo line drive and caught at second by Casey Schmidt. A leaping catch. One away. Giants had Casey Schmidt played perfectly. Goes up and spears it and Real Muto reluctantly goes down. Here’s Bryson. big late inninning homer yesterday. Sto grounds one to first. Fair ball. Wilmer has it. Steps on the bag for one. Throws to second. Got him. Double play. And the game is over. Dolval gets through it. And the Giants take game one. What a game this was. And the pitching in this game was off the charts. And through it all, the Giants persevered.

Every top of the inning was really stressful tonight. Amazing that they managed to only give up 1 run. Chapman had a good day and it is very nice to have him back. Hopefully they can go on a run here, this is a very important homestand
Someone please tell the Phillies to f(cking call it.
Phillies fans will blame the ump, and while it definitely did help the Giants, you can’t expect to win only scoring 1 run 🤷♂️
ABS시스템도 없는 후진국 야구
Is the home plate umpire cross eyed? Or just a degenerate gambler? It’s gotta be one or the other
Thank Cuzzi for the rally!
the ump was bad but we scored one run and we didnt even drive him in need to pick up an out field bat maybe Luis Robert if we can get him cheap??
Good morning Max Kepler
Have you ever Farted in Kyle Schawarma's face before
As a giants fan I’ll say the Phils got absolutely rocked by at least a half dozen awful calls behind the dish.
The ump helped out the giants on this one, tough turn around game for the Phil’s to come across the country and win a game like that
I'm a met fan since the 70s.My 2nd fav. Team is the Giants.. 👍
expected…
Philly Brother lovers rarely win in SF….
Move Lee to number 8 or 9 and give him regular days off – he looks overmatched out there and quite lost
Good hand Turner😂😂
I can't believe the Phillies are in the first place. They have to thank the Mets.
Flores like Buckner
I found a team with relievers worst than the Mets: the Phillies 😂😂
JHL IS MVP OF GIANTS!!!!!
Thanks giants 🙏🏼 #LGM 😊
