Not really any point in continuing to play VJ. Guy plays hard. He’s clearly talented enough. There’s a whole NBA preseason where he can actually play and develop chemistry with the guys he will be playing with.
No need to risk injury with a bunch of guys on other teams trying to prove points and make rosters.
I know the deadline is tomorrow right? But I really wanna know what’s going on with Grimes. Off-season feels empty without it

Sixers fans being more upset about Lowry than Yabu is crazy to me.
Man I heard Keith pompey this morning on that locked sixers podcast this morning and he is either the dumbest person I have ever heard talk about basketball or Morey slept with his wife.
This idiot actually said the sixers aren’t good evaluating the guys they just drafted. “They didn’t even know how good McCain was” because in the off season last year Morey tempered expectations by saying he may have to spend some time in the g league. Remember morey drafted this guy, when everyone else thought it should have been DK. And now he is saying that Morey didn’t know how good Vj is gonna be, a guy he drafted 3rd overall because he made grimes and higher priority that yabu. Yabu, a role player who got 5 mill a year. This moron is talking like they didn’t replace yabu with two players in the same talent tier for still less than yabu costs. Pompey is talking like the whole season is lost because the sixers didn’t sign yabu….. he doesn’t seem to understand that you don’t just sign grimes so you have him long term, you sign him so you can trade him later and have decent money to match with. He also doesn’t seem to understand that going over the second apron matters …. A lot. He acts like it’s no big deal.
I have only heard that man talk about sixers basketball for 20 mins and I’m not sure I have ever heard someone with less understanding of how things work , the value of players and contracts, or how teams are built. The only excuse I could come up with is that morey slept with his wife.
I remember when Centers in the NBA had the least value and Sixers stacked them and we had no guards.
Right now combo guards in the NBA have the least value and Sixers stacking them and we have no bigs.
I’m far from an Embiid fan boy, but this team literally went 24-58 without Embiid last year, and had a 16-27 record without Embiid the year prior. The fact a portion of this fanbases genuinely believes “he makes the team worse” or “plays the wrong way” is insane. I guess losing basketball is enjoyable to some people but I just can’t understand it.
