What is going on guys? Brad here for pits.com and I got a pick in this Diamondback’s first Padres’s game going down on Tuesday, July 8th, 2025. Party guys, hope everyone’s doing well. We got game two of the series between the Diamondbacks and the Padres’s. While I’m recording this, these teams are playing currently. Um the score is four to two. The seventh inning just ended. So look man, the Dbacks have looked pretty damn good in this game and I was kind of surprised. You know, I was kind of leaning Padres’s in game one of this series. Looks like the Dbacks might pull it out. Um but yeah, for game two, it looks like we got Mel Kelly on the mound for Arizona and Nick Paveta on the mound for the Padres’s. You know, I like how Melro Kelly started off the season. I I thought he’s he’s looked pretty decent. He’s been a good guy in this rotation, but you know, as of late, we have seen him go through a little bit of some adversity. Um, he’s given up three or more runs in three of his last four starts. His strikeout stuff has been there. His strikeout stuff has been there, but he’s had some command issues, has walked quite a few batters. He’s also given up at least one home run in each of his last four starts, too. So, do I love how Mary Mel Kelly has looked as of late? I I don’t. I don’t. Um, it could be a good bounceback spot for him, you know, going into Petco, one of the more pitcher friendly ballparks in the league. Also going against a Padres’s offense that has struggled a little bit as as of late, but I’m going to give the pitching advantage to Nick Paveta in this one. Um, that is who’s getting the start for the Padres’s. You know, Dick Paveta is coming off two really good starts. Gave up zero earned runs against Washington on June 25th. um in his last start he gave up only one earned run against a good Phillies lineup um on July 2nd. So I like how Nick Pavetz looked and then we also got to talk about this Diamondbacks bullpen. You know I talked about it in yesterday’s video. Um you just can’t fail to mention the Diamondbacks bullpen when you’re talking about this team. Um it’s kind of been their Achilles heel. I think if they had just a tad bit better of a bullpen, this team would have much more wins. U many more wins, guys. Um, a lot of their losses have came from late in games and, you know, we’ll see if they’re able to hold on to this uh game on on Monday. Like I said, four to two in the top of the eighth. This is the time of the game where we seen the Diamondbacks blow lead. So, I’m really interested to see how this one finishes out. But overall, I’m going to have to roll with the Padres’s here, guys. I’m going to have to roll the Padres’s. Also, the Padres’s at Petco Park this season have been a different team. Especially if they lose game one of this series, I think it actually sets up for a really nice bounceback spot in game two with Nick Paveta on the mound. So, I’m going to be on the Padres’s money line. We’re actually getting a pretty good price with them, too. So, that’s going to do it. I appreciate you guys watching this, man.
