Dallas Mavericks All-Star Anthony Davis underwent a procedure to repair a detached retina that he suffered during the season, sources tell ESPN. Davis played through multiple hits to the face last year. He is expected to be healthy for next training camp.

That sounds creepy. Imagine getting operated on your eyeball
Ah man poor AD
they be spinning the injury wheel for this dude shit feels unfair. he gon be out for 2 weeks in November for advanced hemorrhoids
I swear nobody gets whacked in the face as often as AD
Even his eyes are made of glass
Almost no chance he ends this next season even close to healthy wtf
A detached WHAT
this is proof that he really does get hit in the face a ton
This can happen so easily. I had a detached retina from accidentally smacking into a cabinet door that had been left open.
fucking gave me a heart attack, glad its not a big deal.
Up there with Embiid with the most odd injuries
This man is a magnet for getting hit in the eye him and Powell have to be up there for the most times it has happened lol 😂
lol of all the players to target, the mavs really looked at this dude’s history and said “yeah, we want street clothes Davis for Luka”.
Amare Stoudemire had a detached retina when he was on the suns and said he had to spend 10 days in a row laying face down on a table 22 hours a day.
Start wearing sports goggles, dude.
Eeeeesh i wouldnt want any part of this. Anything with the eye freaks me out.
Why the fuck did he wait so long
I got a detached retina when I was young but that was playing football and took a big hit, how is AD getting hit that hard in a basketball game? Damn
I’m glad for AD, all-nba season incoming with a good rotation of Lively/Gafford to help him.
He do be getting poked in the eyes. A lot.
This is weird to me. Are they saying he just had this treatment done?
A detached retina is a pretty serious situation that would require immediate surgery or he could risk permanent vision problems.
Im pretty sure a detached retina is considered a medical emergency and not something you can just play through or delay this long, and it typically requires a some recovery time.Â
So either this happened during the season or it’s not a detached retina, right?Â
Time to break out the goggles
Whoa. Next off-season: Davis had a successful surgery that removed his left testicle. He suffered the injury playing against the Knicks.
It’s good to know that AD will be fully healthy by training camp, he’ll return just in time to get hurt again.
“I see the vision.” – AD to Nico after surgery, probably.
Mr Glass
It seems like AD gets his eye poked the most out of all the dudes in the league right now. Time to sport the goggles?
If an injury exists AD will obtain it
Bring back the rec specs.
Day to Day baby. finding new ways to get hurt.
he went that long to fix his eyes? they stopped playing basketball since April dafuq was he waiting for?
This man is going to be a cyborg by the end of his career lol what’s the total injury count now? Has it crossed 10?
What is physically wrong with this man???? ðŸ˜ðŸ˜ðŸ˜
