  1. Checking in from Canyon, Texas. I’ve missed most of the past week of baseball due to a road trip. I guess I should be grateful. The bad pitching hasn’t surprised me. But what’s up with the bats?

  2. Grounds crew out to get the tarp.

Edit: Or not. But the Nats are warming up in the outfield.

  3. I believe they will play after an hour or so rain delay. With Sonny on the mound and us facing a right handed pitcher, I like our chances for a Redbird Winner!!😁

  4. Today is the first day my dad seems to be coherent since his stroke, cmon cards give me a W to talk about with him tomorrow.

  5. is fanduel making them wear their branded shirts now? 🙁 i liked seeing Chip’s suits

  6. So looks like we’re looking at a 730 start. At the stadium and it just started up again

  7. I wonder if promoting JJ is also sending a message to Walker as he stays in Springfield for his rehab

  8. I know he’s just getting himself healthy but Jordan Walker isn’t much of a minor league hitter right now, either.

  9. After how bad Willy and Gorman were to start the year, it’s pretty astounding how solid their numbers look now

  10. Is Crooks still looking like our catcher of the future? I know Bernal is behind him, but Crooks was better last year than Bernal at AA is this year, but he’s been pretty mediocre in a full AAA season.

Catcher is the one true place that we need to upgrade in the lineup. Pages is a perfect back up catcher, but I don’t think he’s a legitimate starting catcher. If Ivan is going to be 1B/LF/DH, then Crooks/Pages as the catching duo has to be solid. Either Bernal takes a big leap or Crooks comes up and can be a 2-3 WAR player. But we really need some hitting from catcher without sacrificing too much of the glove.

  11. Trying to get into baseball, so I picked a team based on location close to me and I definitely can’t root for a Texas team, so the Cards it was!

This is the first game I planned on tuning into. Whoops! 😂

  12. It’s kinda unfair that the Pirates and Brewers developed fully-formed aces while the best pitcher we’ve developed in nearly a decade is Andre Pallante

  13. Well the sun is shining out here (west) so hopefully we can get some baseball in

  14. Late night baseball baby, let’s go ahead and sweep this series boys.

  15. 9 pm is crazy. They really don’t want to play a double-header.

  16. Feels like MLB wants to force these delays to play same day cause of all the makeups that have occurred already

  17. Well, I hope we win, if we play. Time for this occultist to hit the snooze cruise though.

  18. “I’m sorry, but you have reached your quota for rainout doubleheaders for the season. Please play some midnight baseball instead”

  19. TRADE ALERT: The Cardinals have acquired **a few hours of my sleep** in exchange for me acquiring **the opportunity to watch another loss** and **bad morning tomorrow**

    Another Mo fleece
