Appreciate you guys who do support the channel every single day as we do post content on here Monday through Friday. Make sure that you guys are tapped in with us as well. Listen, the Giddy situation has just gotten so much more interesting. As per KC Johnson, the Bulls are holding firm on not offering Josh Giddy $30 million annually in contract negotiations. And seems like if Giddy’s representatives continue to not like Chicago’s offers, they could accept the $1 million qualifying offer to become an unrestricted free agent in 2026, which essentially would take the leverage out of the Chicago Bulls hands heading into next season. Okay, so why are we here? Why is this happening? Listen, Josh Giddy knows that if he remains in Chicago and he plays well, 25 to 28 million is probably going to be on the low end, which is probably, like I said, where the Chicago Bulls are. I think they’re probably somewhere in that $27 million range. And the Giddy’s kind Giddy’s representation probably is living in the Hey, let’s start at $30 million annually and see if we can get something escalating here. We know the kind of player he is. Giddy had a phenomenal season to finish the season. I’ve said this a million times. I said 30 million is the statement that Josh Giddy is going to be coming to the table with. And I think a lot of people laughed at me when I did that, but I was serious. Like it makes a lot of sense that Josh Giddy would want to be able to go out and he looks at that Jaylen Suggs contract and he says, “Well, this is how I finished the season when you finally let Zack Lavine get out of my way.” And all of a sudden, this thing took off and we were winning more games and we were being a much more competitive team. And yes, we were in the playin, but we were very competitive throughout the second half of the season. If you had done this earlier in the year, we might have been a a playoff team. This is how Giddy’s team is probably negotiating this whole thing. And listen, at the end of the day, do I believe that that’s exactly the truth there? Let me know how you guys feel in the comments below. Do you think that the Bulls would have done better if Josh Giddy had just had full control of this team from the beginning of the season? I don’t know. But here’s the one thing that I do know. If you’re the Chicago Bulls and you don’t believe that Josh Giddy is somebody who you want to take up 20% of your cap to start this thing off, over 20% of your cap to start this thing off and knowing that it’s going to grow essentially probably 10% year-over-year just about. So by the end of it, yeah, maybe he’s at 14% of your cap, but you’ll probably end up restructuring a deal or renegotiating a deal by then. If you don’t believe he’s worth taking up that much of your cap, I understand why the Bulls are trying to play a little bit of hard ball here. You can’t just go into this and say, “Well, if you don’t get anything for Giddy, it’s a lose-lose situation. You still get Giddy for next season. You possibly could trade him at the trade deadline, which could be something that you can utilize.” I think that Josh Giddy’s a good enough piece, and I think he’s a piece that I that makes you feel good about the future, especially with Mod Modis Buzzel and how he was utilized. But it seems like the Bulls may not feel that way. And that could be something that if you’re not comfortable going to that range, I understand why you don’t. If you don’t think that Josh Giddy gets you over the over the hump, I understand why you are very hesitant to go in on this and move off of your price. What it would do for the Bulls right now is if you end up paying Giddy $11 million this year, that does open up opportunities for the Bulls now to go out and add another player. And then you would have to cut some people on his team because you’ve got all your all your spots fully guaranteed. But another piece on this team that possibly could be a a you know a Jonathan Kaminga who’s also dealing with his contract situation, a Cam Thomas who’s dealing with his contract situation, right? Like I I think that there is a lot where you could look at the Bulls and say, “Listen, we’re not comfortable there just yet. But if you take this qualifying offer now, we we play out this season, if things go well, we’re willing to go here with you next year.” Now, that’s a gamble to take because Josh Giddy then becomes an unrestricted free agent. And with him becoming an unrestricted free agent, now you’re sitting there having the conversation about probably losing him to somebody else. Very rarely does somebody take the qualifying offer of nothing. I I love betting on himself. And then you come back and say, “Hey, yeah, I’m so happy that you guys had me on a low money deal. I’m going to be fine just taking whatever.” I think now you’re in the conversation where you are having the $45 to $50 million deal if he plays well. But where the Bulls kind of do have some leverage is there’s a ton of guard play on this team. You just resigned Trey Jones to a a very very good deal where a three-year deal with a team option on a third year of this deal. I didn’t even know AK knew how to utilize those. I think that to me I have a lot of faith in Trey Jones. I think that he’s a really really solid piece especially as a starting point guard. I think you can do a really good job, especially with him facilitating his turnover to assist ratio. It’s kind of the thing in the Jones family when you look at him and his brother, right? And it’s something that I could be sold on as Trey Jones being a pivotal piece. You’ve still got IO on this team. You’ve still got Kobe White on this team and maybe you end up uh uh paying those guys. We know the Chicago Bulls have talked about having that cap flexibility heading into the 2026 season. And I think that’s why they’re dug in on we’re not willing to pay you $30 million annually. We’re not going to tie ourselves to somebody else to that big of a contract who we don’t feel gets us over the hump. Let me know how you guys feel in the comments below. I’ll be down there talking with you guys as well. I think that, you know, this is a this is a different situation than we’ve seen the Bulls in in a while here. But do you feel like the Bulls just need to get this deal done with Josh Giddy or are you kind of in the camp of like listen, Giddy’s a good player, but is he a $30 million player? I I don’t know if he is. And we’ll see what the Bulls end up doing. I’ll tell you this, you don’t get better letting Josh Giddy go. He He is a solid young point guard who I think has a ton of upside potential that you saw in the second half of the season who I think really does a good job keeping everybody involved in the game. Yes, the defensive question marks are there, but you also added Isaac Auro this offseason. I think that helps with some of the giddy defensive inefficiencies that you have on this team. And here’s the bottom line. Right now, Chicago holds all the cards and they’re unlikely to break the bank for them unless, you know, Utah comes in and they’re like, “Hey, we got big money for you. How about this?” And then maybe you see the Bulls go in. But even then, I I think just like I said in the Utah video that I just dropped. If you are dug in that he’s not a 30 plus million dollar player, let Utah have them and you say, “We appreciate you playing the work version of our game.” And you go figure out where you’re at from there. I don’t think that’s the right move. I don’t think that that’s a that that’s the best decision. But what you don’t want to do is because you feel like you made a move for Alex Caruso who ends up going on and winning a championship. You compound that move by saying, “Well, we’re so dug in on this guy being our guy that we have to get him.” You still have all the cards. If he ends up not getting an offer from Utah and signing the qualifying offer here, you still can make a trade during the season possibly to move him to a team where where, hey, you guys want him? Is this a guy you want to sign in the future? How about you go out there, you sign Josh Giddy, and you guys work that out in your situation. We’ll get picks back. We’ll get whatever back. You probably a young player because that’s what AK loves to do here. Um, but I think that what is what is tough here, right, is if you’re Josh Giddy and maybe you don’t have the season that you had in the second half of this year and you are just the 15 8 and 8 type of guy, you’re not going to see 25 to 30 million again. You’re not going to see this level of money in another contract negotiation unless you go somewhere else and you up your game. I think that Billy Donovan offers Josh Giddy an opportunity to play a game that accentuates his game. This may be one of the better offers that the Bulls have on the table. Excuse me. And as much as people are going to say, “Well, the ball’s in Josh Giddy’s court now. He has all the power. He has the leverage.” I don’t think so. There there’s a really good opportunity here for Giddy to prove who he is and make some really good money. Now, if the Bulls, again, we don’t know what the Bulls offer is. I’m assuming you’re at that$25 to $27 million range. That’s what I said in the in the Jazz video. If you’re at $20 million, that’s a very different conversation. You’re not paying me like Patrick Williams out there. You know what I mean? Like that that’s now we’re getting into disrespectful ranges and things like that. But right now, I think that if you’re the Bulls and you’re looking at the opportunity, and we know what their conversation has been, the summer of 2026, the 2026 free agents, the the players that we are, you know, really looking to add to this team in 2026, we want to have cap flexibility in 2026, 2026 seems to be their big plan. Who are the bigname free agents in 2026? You know what I mean? Like that that’s the conversation that you got to have. Um, I if you’re the Bulls right now, is this the best you’re going to get? I think that’s a conversation where both sides, like I said, are going to have to leave this table feeling like they gave something up. There seems to be this grandmaster plan uh uh um that in 2026 everything is going to be solved because we’ve got these guys that we’re eyeballing here. I mean, you’re talking about some big names being available, but are they gamechanging names? I mean, LeBron probably going to be done. He’ll be 42 by that point. Kevin Durant, I assume he’s he’s got to get the extension in Houston and he’s going to be fine. Dame done. Darren Fox, eh, I mean, solid piece, but you know what I mean. Chris Stops, Brooke, Hartinstein, Bradley Bill, like who are the who are these players? Like even if you’re Luca has already been extended, Trey Young. Yeah. Like are you coveting Trey Young right now? If you’re coveting Trey Young, I’ll flip a table. And so that to me is kind of where and and I think Trey Young also is a is a restricted free agent at that point. Um but th those are the things to me where where Giddy and and the Bulls have kind of dug in here and they’re both, you know, just kind of at a stalemate. This may be the best situation for both sides where Giddy signs for a little bit less, you give them the fifth years, you give him the five years and and you guys move forward. I could see that being an option as well. I think the big thing for me with this Bulls team right now and where they’re at is that you don’t want to dig yourself in a deeper hole than where you’re already at. You want to try and improve this team. I don’t think getting rid of Josh Giddy improves this team. I also don’t think overpaying for Josh Giddy and hamstringing yourself to him, if that is how you feel, improves this team either. So, you have to find that sweet middle ground. And hopefully the Bulls and Giddy are able to find that. Let me know how you guys feel in the comments below. I’ll be down to talking with you guys as well. Hit that like button, subscribe to the page, leave a fivestar view. Y’all know what to do. Do you think the Chicago Bulls should pay Giddy the 30 pay Giddy the $30 million that he is looking for long term? Like I said, I’ll be down there talking with you guys as well. As always, it’s your boy Pat the designer back at it again. Y’all stay safe out there, Chicago. See you right next stand up. Peace.

👀 Do YOU think the Bulls should pay Josh Giddey $30M per year? Or let him hit free agency in 2026 and chase a superstar Drop your take below 👇
Pay him $30 million & you can always trade him later if necessary just like we did w/ Lavine w/ his injury history. W/o him we do not even make the play-in. If Bulls are struggling to pay him $30 mil they for dang sure won’t wanna pay $40 mil plus! I’d rather Bulls do a sign/trade if possible w/ him than him taking QO. I’m not too impressed w/ UFA next year bc most good FA available next year are: Club Option, RFA, and player option.
I don’t get it they pay pwill n he’s trash ass pay lavine was injury prone but a young stud comes and they wanna play hard ball makes no fuckin sense bro they gonna lose him even if he bets on himself n stays here one year n ends up making less next free agency he’s still gonna leave
I don’t mind them playing hardball with Giddey so we arent hamstrung cap wise. But I don’t really have faith in AK getting a deal done. I can totally see Giddey signing a QO and going elsewhere next year while we have to find a new starting PG. prove me wrong AK. Ffs.
They might give him 5 year deal. It's a business deal coming forsure
Give him the minimum right now he had not proved he is worth 30 million he has not even played a full season in Chicago cmon
Bulls are behind in cap bro. Giddy gone
Love it. Win then get the money. Why were they paying loosing players
Honestly as an average week to week guy, I’m getting kind of tired of these players carrying on about millions of dollars,
20 million a season is disrespectful? Cmon man what are we talking about here.
I believe it's time to trade Giddy, bring in Ben Simmons a defensive minded point guard that can also rebound and run the point (he's 6' 10). We have enough shooters, this to me is a really good bargain deal.
$25M/yr not a penny more.. %16 of the Cap, not a penny more.. If they pay him more.. This team is cooked for the life of that contract.. He is not a #2 , he is not a #1, he is a #3 and you pay him as such.. If they would have won a single post season game then I would understand paying him like he is a #2, he is not that… Bulls!!!! Dont be stupid.. Dont make the same Zach mistake.. %25M not a penny more, do NOT pay him like a #2 under this new CBA or you are SUPER screwed!!!!
Just take the 25 Giddey he starting to piss me off
Stop being cheap and pay the man before you lose him
Bro better take their offer, He one good half of a season now losing his mind.
Bulls lost leverage when they traded Lonzo Ball 😂
Fuck all that Pat, he hasn't shown he's worth that money. Gotta show consistency throughout 82 games.
I still don't fell like hes worth the 30mil just yet. Agree with some of fans..he played well but that first half of the season was 🗑. No doubt he def turned it around, but come on bro? Josh have to consider that he was in a lot of heat with that whole underage girl situation and the Bulls took a roll of the dice and gambled on him. In general, the team and Giddey both need one another as he did surpass the expectations of some, including myself and I know the F.O as well. So the Bulls being firm and stern I understand as well as they have made some bone head decisions that bit them in the a$$😂😂😂 and this could be another if they don't come to the table prepared. As far as Giddey, the way his second half performance was I can see him wanting the 💰,but again, that first half dont match that request… Just saying, I like the kid,but An and Comp has got us in the loop so many times that maybe, just maybe this time their pump in the brakes on just giving out the💰
If the Bulls wanted to go in rebuild tear down year…they should’ve just said so
The Bulls could easily put Coby back on the ball like he was before Giddey. He played his best as lead guard.
Can yall just take kuminga from us please, yall cant sign him for that much because yall need to pay JK 😩
1 of only 3 players with over 1000 points, 500 rebounds and 500 assists last year and that was with a poor first couple of months with zero preseason and playing with Lavine. Not every team has guys that can do that and they don't come along very often.
The other 2 players were Lebron James and Nikola Jokic.
I think the sweet spot is about the $28M per season average but should the Bulls pay him $30M?
Well $30M wouldn't even make Giddey the highest paid Australian player ever.
Ben Simmons was given $35M back in 2020 and Giddey is better than that.
I mean he did cost them the number 1 pick lol
Do you pay big money for potential? Or do you wait until the potential is realised ? And pay more? Giddey has solid stats and I think given his growth across the board it’s an interesting discussion. This dude is young ?
