He might win a Home Depot player of the game award for that one 123 effort there in the bottom of the eighth. Elvis Alvarado comes out of the bullpen to work for the A’s and make his second appearance at this home stand. they work on Saturday night against the Giants. And Marcelo Zuna who’ll be followed by Azie Albies and Steuart Fairchild. Marcelo Zuna to center field. Denzel Clark charging in and Denzel Clark making catches look easy. There’s Azie Alvis. Ground ball to second. Gellof to Curts. Two gone. It can only go up from here tomorrow, right? Yeah. This game just started with a gigantic splat for the Braves. And here’s the one hopper to Gellof. He’ll complete it and the A’s victorious in game one against the Braves. Hat backwards. High fives come in for the green and goal. The two homer night for the kid who grew up in Atlanta. That has to feel good. I’m loving what Jeffree Springs has been able to continue to do as far as his performance is concerned. It was all A’s tonight as they throttle the Braves with a 10-1 victory behind the power of five home runs.
