Can the NFL overcome Trump’s anti-Canada rhetoric? The Bills are banking on it

An we stop posting clickbait articles? The bills are betting on it
Yeah we can, by impeaching the POS.
I doubt ~~they’re~~ the Bills are worried, everyone and their mother in WNY are going to want to go to a game for the last season of the Ralph and the inaugural at the new stadium
The problem is the Federal govt controls border crossings, not states or cities.
As long as TACO is in charge, little will change.
Sorry Buffalo…seriously an awesome place to visit when you have a stable federal government.
Can someone please send me the wording of this article. The main person they speak with is family.
I’m neither from the US or Canada, I’m a BIlls fan from Australia. I wouldn’t go to the US while people are getting interrogated or turned away at the border for things as ridiculous as anti Trump social media comments. With all the bullshit 51st state rhetoric from the pig in charge Canadians have even more reason not to go. Maybe in 4 years time.
First thing I thought of once Trump started applying blanket tariffs on Canada under false pretenses: imagine being Pegula, most likely giving money to this guy, and seeing him piss off a significant amount of your customer base (particularly in a wealthy market like Toronto) as you are working to finish a $1 billion+ new stadium. What an ROI.
It’d probably be a different story if we were talking drought era bills, but since everyone and their mother jumped on the bandwagon I’m sure they’ll be fine.
Sabres on the other hand? They’re going to be pretty effed this year between crappy play for 14 years and the border issues. I think a ton of their (remaining) sth’s are Canadian.
The easiest way to cross the border with very few questions is to say you’re going to a Bills game.
I’m tired of literally every subreddit becoming nothing but political hit pieces. Let’s focus on the Buffalo Bills and not politics.
Seeing some whacky comments in here. I really don’t care who voted for who and what your opinion is on the current state of affairs.
All I know is Canada has always had our back when it comes to Bills fandom and I absolutely love the fact they are a part of our DNA.
I hope that regardless of the state of our two nations politics, we can still transcend the bullshittery and collectively watch the Bills win the SB this year.
The Bills won’t miss my money this year but I’ll certainly miss the Bills and Western NY.
This is the longest it’s been that I’ve not crossed the border since covid.
As a Canadian I’ve gone back and forth on this a lot and frankly don’t fault anyone one way or another if they still cross the border to go to games or not. I don’t personally think I’m going to under the current climate though.
But once the dust settles even if it’s a few years I’m sure we’ll be back and my daughter will probably be old enough to take in games at the new barn as well which I’m psyched for.
As a Canadian die-hard generational bills fan, this is all too much for me.
😢😭
We are flying from Alberta to come to the Thursday Night game in September. I’d rather not visit the States right now due to Trumpism, but I’ve never been to a Bills game in Buffalo and I’d like to catch a game at the Ralph before it’s gone.
I know there are great people in Buffalo and not to judge people based on what the government is going.
I have no idea what to expect. I’d love to experience some of the tailgating, but I have no idea how to get involved there.
I’m pretty excited truth be told.
GTA here. and A Sabres fan. I think the Sabres are more in toubling of losing support and tickets purchases from Canadians than Bills
>The Bills have roughly 8,000 Canadian season-ticket holders, 11 percent of Highmark Stadium’s seating capacity. As the new $2.2 billion stadium goes up across Abbott Road and PSLs still are being sold to existing customers, Bills chief strategy officer Kate Hussmann said Southern Ontario accounted for 18 percent of those who paid a deposit to get on the waiting list.
If anyone wants a gift 30 day subscription to read this, I have a couple left. It’s a really in depth article, less about Trump and far more about how badly the Bills have failed to take advantage of a massive and wealthy market right next to it.
