Hope he pans out, seems like he’s got the impatience most kids do nowadays. Not every kid is Bedard and can jump straight into the NHL level and skip AHL/2-way. If he doesn’t score his ass off, I feel Bolts made a good trade.
I don’t know much about Sam O’Reilly, but from what I watched of Howard at MSU he looks pretty darn good. Say what you like but it’s clearly not about the money but about winning. He signs that deal in Tampa he makes 100% of that contract whereas in Edmonton he makes less but has a solid chance of winning on a contender. I understand that the lightning are still a wagon but they have to go through the Panthers and that hasn’t worked well for anyone recently
