Cliff Fletcher was voted as Best GM in franchise history. Now who is the Best Coach in team history? As always highest rated comment wins, no repeat answers!

  1. I don’t know if he’ll win/should win, but Darryl is worth a mention.

  2. Gotta be Terry Crisp right? Can’t be controversial if you won it all. Sky high win percentage too. I’d still put Sutter in the running tho.

  3. Terry Crisp and don’t let anyone ever tell you otherwise. Best regular season and playoff win %. One of the longest tenures to boot.

  4. I’ll throw Bob Hartleys name in the ring.

Calgary has had a lot of “Shelf life” coaches and he’s for sure one of those, but he was good for his shelf life before players write a coach off for always being a hardass

  5. In flames history is has to be Terry Crisp. He didn’t replicate his success elsewhere but a 2nd round exit, a cup win and a first round exit. Had over 42 wins in all three seasons.

  6. It’s Badger Bob. All time Flames leader in coaching wins and the only coach to beat the Oilers in the playoffs.

  7. I’m another vote for Badger Bob. He was coach before I was even born but there’s really no doubt that he was a legend here.

  8. It’s Darryl quite easily. Give Darryl the 89 roster and they still win the Cup. Give Crisp the 04 team they don’t go far.

In the last 35 years, Darryl has won twice as many playoff series than all other coaches combined
