My man really thinks he’s on Barkley and King Henry’s level of stardom.

take this stuff with a massive grain of salt
He said she said unsubstantiated slop. Trainwreck has been notoriously wrong in the past. Let stuff like this go.
He’s a good player and I’m glad we can draft and develop RBs now. Never really got the cool dude and down to earth vibe from him. I believe this story.
Not saying Cook has displayed the utmost maturity of late, but is this where we’re at? A random post from an anonymous person (could be a shit stirring Fins fan for all we know) online? I feel like this fanbase is turning it’s back on Cook, and not helping this situation at all. Best RB we’ve had since McCoy, and finally one in his prime and this is what we give him.
I’ve been a Bills fan for 36 years. I’m at the point that I don’t care if we have an entire team full of assholes if they can win the SB.🤷🏽♂️
this shit is fake as hell bro
*Bumblefuck Times* reporting locally that James Cook is.. a big meanie, back to you in studio for the weather
At least we know for sure that Ray Davis isn’t an asswipe.
It’s a photo on the internet it must be true!
I wouldn’t trust one anecdote like that.
Source: trust me bro
None whatsoever. Couldn’t care less
From the day he was drafted, he didn’t want to be a Bill. Finish this year out and show him the door.
lol this never happened
If it’s a scheduled meet and greet then wouldn’t the price for an autograph likely be established beforehand?
I feel like if he was behaving like this at a public meet and greet there would be more reporting than a weird social media post.
Stop getting your news from social media
lol James Cook didn’t ask him for money from his wallet, what is this fantasy story time?
I saw James Cook at a Wegmans in Buffalo yesterday. I told him how cool it was to meet him in person, but I didn’t want to be a douche and bother him and ask him for photos or anything. He said, “Oh, like you’re doing now?” I was taken aback, and all I could say was “Huh?” but he kept cutting me off and going “huh? huh? huh?” and closing his hand shut in front of my face. I walked away and continued with my shopping, and I heard him chuckle as I walked off. When I came to pay for my stuff up front I saw him trying to walk out the doors with like fifteen Milky Ways in his hands without paying.
The girl at the counter was very nice about it and professional, and was like “Sir, you need to pay for those first.” At first he kept pretending to be tired and not hear her, but eventually turned back around and brought them to the counter.
When she took one of the bars and started scanning it multiple times, he stopped her and told her to scan them each individually “to prevent any electrical infetterence,” and then turned around and winked at me. I don’t even think that’s a word. After she scanned each bar and put them in a bag and started to say the price, he kept interrupting her by yawning really loudly.
I’ll take “things that never happened” for $400, Alex
Don’t care about stories, he was acting like a prima Donna before this. His actions towards the Bills organization are clear. He wants a contract extension and he want to be paid similar to the highest paid RB’s…we know all of this.
The Bills will and should offer a contract extension that they are comfortable with. If Cook doesn’t play this season he’s putting himself in a worse light than now. Teams don’t want total assholes that become a cancer on the team.
Spotrac says he’s worth roughly $10.5 million. I would offer him 4 years $52 million. Hear me out:
3 years avg of $12 million, all guaranteed, $36 million.
Year 4 – $16 million, team option. He’ll be 26 in September, so pay him through his 28 year-old year. If he’s awesome renegotiate, trade or pay him. Then let him go or sign him on an “old RB” contract at that time.
If he insists on $15 million per, then I would consider offering $12 million for 2 years, guarantee maybe $21 million, give a signing bonus of $3 million out of the guarantee making his average effectively $13.5 million. Then a third year team option for $15-$16 million, guarantee it if picked up. It’s not ideal but if he gets seriously injured in the first 25’ish games then they get out of the contract paying the guarantee essentially.
He probably won’t take it but it’s a compromise that could work. He gets close to what he wants and the Bills get protection in case of injury or poor performance.
Imagine that your job was to go put your body on the line every day, with the chance that one hit, one misstep, and the career you worked 80 hour weeks was over.
Yes, you’re making generational money, but none of it is really guaranteed in terms of longevity
Also, your job would require you move anywhere in the country at the drop of a hat.
Further, imagine doing your job with all that pressure and everyone you know, everyone online, they have an opinion, usually negative, about your performance.
Lastly, imagine dealing with all that and still showing up for charity and community events because you know your position in a community and within an organization is more important than just you.
Except when you’re at this event, you get bombarded by people wanting you to sign stuff and won’t let you just exist.
We know James Cook isn’t an outgoing guy. That’s fine. He’s not in Buffalo to be a spokesman. he’s here to perform, and he has.
Im against paying him what he wants, and thats honestly not his fault. But fans are such assholes to players who are just humans dealing with way more bullshit than any of us.
You know it kinda gets my hackles up ! I’m offended if anybody thought OUR ELITE RB is gonna be getting his ass in a twisty bout no 20 Bucks ! Guys gonna be making MILLION$, NO MATTER what. He’s a class guy whose doing the right things and hes not stupid.
He’s also ours and WE WANT HIM behind JA17 when we ram the ball down the field next Super Bowl Sunday !
C’Mon now ! Let James Cook…
Go Bills .
I doubt its real. Dude seems chill and if he was holding the camp. Even if it is its not like he was entitled to an autograph. People just cant handle being told no.
