Would have loved for us to be in any of the East groups instead of this killer gauntlet, what a joke!

  1. BRUH if we win our group that’s bragging rights for sure we Def the non favorites to win

  2. Call me old-fashioned, I can’t bring myself to care about the IST/Cup.

I understand the league’s desire to generate more early season intrigue but…nah.

  3. I see.. so what you’re saying is WE’RE WINNING IT ALL BABY!

  4. Why would we be in any of the East groups? Blazers are not an East team. It’s also better for the young guys to have a tougher group, there is no way the Blazers are good enough to win this thing, but facing tougher competition typically helps players more.

  5. Don’t love it, but this is the West. Put on your hard hat boys. Now you know what it’ll take to be a play-in/playoff contender. They need this.

  6. Still not quite sure why they don’t include some Euro League teams in this. Would be really fun to let the top 2-4 join.

  7. I’m going to go the other way. I really like Portland’s young core but it’s time to figure out what’s solid and what’s soft. This group is going to make it painfully clear who on the team is real and who needs to move aside so the team can grow to the next stage. I embrace the difficult path and I’m looking for determination in the face of adversity. Lock these teams down defensively win or lose and I think it’s a great victory.

  8. Light work league dont know whats coming. We coming for you adam silver 🤞🏻.

  9. Why do we gotta be in the west lmao. I wish we had like east C or some shit, Shae would dog on some of those teams.

  10. On the plus side, this is a good way to see how this team stacks up against great competition. Players try a little harder in the cup to win some extra cash for their team

  11. The real joke is releasing this schedule in July when no one really cares.

  12. There’s a real chance Portland might be the only non playoff team in their group. Fucking brutal.

  13. I’m going to take the other side and say it’s winnable. Golden State is old AF, and coming up on rebuild years. Nuggets are totally dependent on a good Jokic day. San Antonio is still getting on there feet, and are ez without Wemby. Houston is going to be the toughest, but maybe we get lucky?

  14. I like our chances…

To be 5th of 5 teams. Literally have probably the 2, 3, and 4 seeds in the west, plus a team that still has Steph.

  15. Reminds me of the saying ‘If you look around the table and can’t tell who the patsy is, it’s you’.

At the very least the Blazers should be one gritty, tough little patsy, but getting out of that group would be a miracle.

OKC and Minny get the easiest path possible too. Doesn’t take much of a conspiracy theorist brain to think they might want Ant or the Thunder to make it through.
