(I don’t count MJ since they’ll never feature him in a Wizards jersey on the cover)
People need to realize also this was when Live was more popular than 2k.
At no point were John Wall or Bradley Beal as popular as 2007 Gilbert Arenas.
This was the first year they stopped making NBA Live for the OG Xbox. My parents bought me this game for Christmas for the 360… there was no Xbox 360 under the tree. Devastating.
For context, Gilbert has the only U.S. game cover for a Wizards player afiak. Wiz-era Jordan was on the Japanese cover of NBA Live 2002, and Rui was on the Japanese cover of 2K22.
