But guys, hope everyone’s doing well. We got the Washington Nationals and the St. Louis Cardinals going at it. This will be game two of the series. Game one happens on Tuesday evening. I’m recording this Tuesday afternoon, so I don’t know what the result of that game will be, but both these teams kind of in a bit of a slump right now. Um, we saw the Washington Nationals get absolutely cracked this uh this last weekend against the Red Sox. They lost every game by multiple runs. Um, the Red Sox put up double digit runs in two of those games. It’s good that the Nationals had a day off on Monday to to get that bullpen um some rest because they definitely got taxed in that series over this weekend. And I don’t know if that’ll play too much of effect um in this game, but yeah, don’t love how the Nationals have looked and really don’t love how the Cardinals have looked either. I will say for the Cardinals though, they have played three straight series on the road. They went into Cleveland, went into Pittsburgh, and then went into Chicago. So, they’re coming back home to St. Louis in this one. Bush Stadium, uh one of the cooler stadiums in the league if you ask me. And they’re playing at home where they’ve played their best ball. I mean, the Cardinals at home and on the road are completely different teams at home. this season. They’re what, nine games over 500. So, I actually like this series for the Cardinals. When you look at the pitching matchup, got Mackenzie Gore on the mound for the Nationals and Andre Palante on the mound for the Cardinals. And look, even though Mackenzie Gore, when you look at his numbers and then when you just look at Mackenzie Gore as a whole, he’s definitely, you definitely want to say Mackenzie Gore is the best pitcher. Don’t get me wrong, he’s he’s this national seems ace this season, but as of late, Palante’s been the better pitcher, man. Um, as of late, Palante has a a 222 ERA um in his last five starts, whereas Mackenzie Gore has a 372 ERA in his last five starts. Actually really like how Palante has looked, man. He’s been going far in these games. Don’t get me wrong, he doesn’t have crazy strikeout stuff or anything, but he’s actually been pretty damn solid. So, you add to the fact that yes, the Cardinals have struggled as of late, but they’re coming back home where they played their best ball. They got Andre Palante on the mound who’s looked damn good as of late. They’re going against the Nationals team who just got crushed um this past weekend against the Red Sox. I’m going to be on the Cardinals and I actually think we’re getting a really good price with them. Um while I’m recording this, what it’s minus 118. I can’t be mad at that, man.
