Aaron Rodgers TOSS’N NUKES At Pittsburgh Steelers Practice | 2025 Minicamp

We’re looking at practice clips from mini camp and otaas. Today we’re looking at the Pittsburgh Steelers. Getting another look at Aaron Rogers. We’re going to talk some ball on him and what we’re expecting in training camp and the start of the season. Before we dig in, you need to click that subscribe button right now because we’re looking at practice. Training camp’s going to be here soon. And we want to know what your players are doing behind the scenes. Your rookies, your vets, your guys on new teams, those quarterback battles, those guys are getting ready to drafting fantasy football that you’re putting money on. You want to know if they’re climbing to depth chart, if they’re playing well after that injury, it’s all right here. Click that button. Stop missing out. We’re looking at Aaron Rogers today. We’ve talked about him a few times. There’s some things that came out during these cleats that I wanted to look at and talk with you guys about that I found fascinating, which might mean nothing anyways, but Aaron Rogers is back. And we’ve been speculating this whole off season as with everybody else. Not hot take or anything or anything new that he was going to be with the Steelers. Looking at the depth chart, looking at Aaron Rogers just hanging out there. We just knew. But he’s back. He’s got the eight on with the Steelers. You look at this depth chart. We got DK Metaf. George Pickkins is gone. We add a running back in the draft from Caleb Johnson. So, we got some upside there back in the back field. So, there’s a lot to look at with this team. There’s a lot to look at when we’re looking at Aaron Rogers. One thing is we’re further removed from that Achilles injury, which is one of those injuries where once you’re better, it still affects you and it takes some time. That’s one thing you want to look at. There were moments where the Jets where it was all right. There’s moments where we also know it was like blunderous, but the thing is we’re further removed from that. He’s talking about positive notes and how does he fit with his team. This is a slower paced offense in general. He fits well with that. He’s always been slower paced playtoplay when it comes to seconds between plays. However, he can operate an offense. He can keep the chains moving. He’s a vet. He’s been there for a long time. We need somebody to step up outside of DK Metaf at the wide receiver spot. That’s one thing. He needs somebody to step up. And now usually when you look at that like it’s rare it’s a random old vet on the team or a guy that’s been there three plus years. A player to look at might be Roman Wilson. Roman Wilson was hurt last year. He had decent draft capital in an incredibly deep talented wide receiver class. Killed it at the senior bowl. Has speed to burn. Can create separation. looks to be in a different role than DK Mech after where you can see him moved around the slot, moved to the outside due to that speed and using that technical nuance to create separation to help. There’s other players, too. But looking at what’s ambiguous there on the roster, they added John Smith, which is a tight end that has a history with Arthur Smith in Atlanta, and is a tight end that is very athletic, that is very experienced and is going to fit well with a veteran quarterback. I look for this offense to be slower paced and methodical, and they’re going to be in dog fights. They’re gonna be dog fights in the AFC North like you always seen it. I think Aaron Rogers is going to be commanding the ship. But the main take, like I said early, or when I was talking about Aaron Rogers at the start of this video, is he looks like he’s just happier to be here. It’s been like a few years like around 2020 2019 like every single interview he’s just been low energy he’s just been like a very sad person like just just seems like just not a happy guy. But you just see him in some of these clips. You see him mess around throwing from different arm angles messing around with his feet. You’re seeing him smile on some of these clips. and seen him have a little bit of fun with the game here when we did the practice clips when he was with the Jets. You didn’t get any of that. You didn’t really get any of that. It looks like he’s more in his element or he knows that, hey, I’m going to hang loose here. I’m going to play free cuz my story is about done and I’m gonna enjoy it. Like you just see it on some of these some of these basic drills that he finishes off maybe just fading off his throw. Different feet right there. Feet closer together. You’ll just see it on some of these clips. Smile right there. Like we all know the show’s about the the end. We all know that. Now, are you going to get a top 10 quarterback top? It’s going to be hard. It’s going to be hard with how the game is today. older veteran quarterback, but are you getting a quarterback here that keep change moving, be more than a game manager, that can make that throw here and there, download the offense? Well, I expect DK Metaf to get easily a 20 plus percent target share should be around 25%. I’m expecting that. I’m expecting him to get peppered with targets. Last year, we saw Garrett Wilson, Devonte Adams as the main two target getters. main two target getters week in and week out. And DK Mechaf, when you get a stud wide receiver with a veteran quarterback like this with Aaron Rogers, he’s going to pepper that stud. He’s going to pepper the stud. DK Mechaf’s going to get a lot of volume in this offense. But it’s going to be slow paced volume in the offense when it comes to plays ran plays in general if you’re looking at that for fantasy football. So that could create some volatility game to game to game depending on how you’re setting lineups, depending on how you’re looking at this and what formats you’re playing. Baseball reddraft. Another thing is that run game’s got to step up. Caleb Johnson, you guys got to get something out of him early. Very talented running back prospect. Probably would have been the first running back drafted in the 2024 draft. That’s the thing about him. Played good as a freshman. Was hurt during sophomore season. put the stamp on things last year. 2024 at Iowa. Very good in open field. He’s got the size. They’ve been working on him with pass protection extensively. Extensively like from what we saw in his clips, from what I’m gathering from what the beats are saying that it’s like three or four times more than what we’re seeing. Like they’re working on pass extensively. He’s got long arms. He could definitely do that. He he was a very sound runner over at Iowa. We need him to step up. You need a lot more things than Aaron Rodgers just coming into like 80 to 90% of form to what he was a about half decade ago. You need more than that, but the main take I can definitely gather that it may not matter, but it’s that he’s happy to be there. He’s happy to be there. I can just tell I can just tell from the clips how he’s moving. Like he’s playing around more. He’s messing around more. and he’s got the form down. He’s got his techniques down. He’s been playing the game longer than some of you guys been live. There there’s a little little smile there, him talking, getting things down. Am I expecting him to be a top quarterback? No. Am I expecting him to get the gears greased up for this offense and allow them to be able to move the chains to a point where they can get in dog fights in AFC North? I think that’s where you’re at. I think that’s where you’re at. I think the downside is if he gets injured again, older player had a massive injury a while back. That’s always in the cards. DK Medaf gets hurt, that’s really going to hurt him because that is the stud that we’re leaning on here in the passing game. just a bunch of little things. We’re going to control the turnover battle pretty well with him or should. If for some reason Father Time looks him in the eyes, say, “Uh-uh.” And that starts to go right, that’s something you could look at. Father Time in general, Pete’s looking okay for his age. The fact that he throws off platform, he works off of that. He works. He practices it. He’s ready for it. The offensive line, we can hold up. Can we for this vet? How are we pushing it down field? I believe you’re going to have a smart offense. I It’s going to be slow paced. It’s going to be slow paced. Seconds between plays should be bottom third in the league unless you are getting blown out. Neutral game script. Bottom third of the league. You got slow pace quarterback. You got Arthur Smith there. They’re going to lean on the run. They’re going to lean on the run. So, you got Warren and you got Caleb Johnson. They’re going to lean on the run a bit. And with Arthur Smith, like we know he’ll he’ll move that game script around to where like it’s confusing at times, but you’ll see it. You’ll see it. I expect some things with Aaron Rogers here this season that might scratch your head when it comes to play calling and stuff from the coaching staff. I expect it I expect this to be a slow paced offense. I expect to be slow paced because historically coaching staff and him. I expect him just be okay. I don’t expect him to be a top 10 quarterback in the National Football League. I just expect him to keep the gears moving. I think DK Mechaf is going to get a lot of targets. 25 plus percent target share, 20 plus percent easy in that range. I look for him to get the volume. I’m looking at eight targets plus a game. We could be hitting double digit targets a lot. When they have to push it down field, it’s going to go to DK. I think we’re going to get in some rough matchups here in the AFC North. I think that’s going to be some dog fights. I think the dog fights are going to be fun to watch with the Steelers. I think this is going to be a fun training camp story to watch. I think this start of the season is going to be interesting to see if we can get to a hot start with the Steelers because if they can get a hot start, reel off some wins, then we get in the back of the season because this is a team that just sneaks wins. They just have a history of sneaking wins. You look at the depth chart year in year out, they just sneak wins. They sneak wins and it’s going to be easy to sneak wins with with an experienced quarterback that’s very methodical. You’re adding that you can say that with Russell Wilson. He come back from the calf injury, came in the middle of the season, couldn’t really like get a full off seasonason in there with the team. You got that this year with Aaron Rogers. So, that’s going to be a different look. And you got some changes here, very subtle changes that could help this team move forward. But, he’s in it. He said it. He came in first practice, told everybody he’s in it 100%. He looks He’s having fun out there. He’s having fun out there. You can definitely tell by the clips. That’s one thing we noted off the rip. Let me know what you think down in the comments below. I want to hear about that. Make sure to hit that subscribe button on the way out. Want to thank for watching. Catch you on the next video.

  1. Rodgers looks the best he has since 2021 the last MVP year, I've been one to have went on the record saying rings are a team accomplishment, and that Rodgers is the NFLs best pure passer in NFL history, I put him in the category of Dan Marino and Joe Namath, the best Pure passers in NFL history, I'm a JETs fan and have been since 1998, but this year I'll be rooting for you guys too, been a Rodgers fan since Favre left in GreenBay, Joe Willie Namath, I don't need to say anything, absolute legend, Dan Marino, a Damm shame he never won a Superbowl, he in a category by himself……the greatest QB to never win a Superbowl, I would love to see Rodgers close his career out a two time Super Bowl champion, this time on the Pittsburgh Steelers,
