I would I would uh suggest that if you like something in Major League Baseball today, make sure it’s at night game Eastern time because otherwise you’re going to be accused of putting the pickup after the game starts because people might view it later in the day. Uh so but in any event, that’s my suggestion. Your comments are all welcomed. Uh your picks are welcomed and I really want to thank each and every one of you out there for all the kind words you’ve been um throwing my way in the comments section. It’s really deeply appreciated folks and I am so glad for each and every one of you out there that have prospered from this current massive win streak uh here at Wager Talk TV. On the other hand, also um I uh appreciate the fact that even though some of you have disagreed on pics when you post your own uh you’ve been very respectful to one another, you haven’t reverted to being demeaning, uh disrespectful. You’ve left vulgarity out of the equation and I appreciate that folks cuz we’re trying to build a positive community here and uh we uh really uh don’t want to see negativity, you know, to a degree. I get sometimes uh once in a while things you things you’re having a bad day but try to be cognizant of that going forward folks. All right let’s get to the matter at hand. Arizona will go with Brandon Fat on the mound tonight and uh at San Diego with Dylan CE who’s been really good at home. Um the Padres’s right now are minus 145 moneyline favorite. The total in this game is eight. Brandon Fat over his last 10 starts a terrible 746 erra and 152 whip. He’s also allowed nine home runs in 44 point uh 44 and 2/3 innings pitched during that uh that last 10 start um period and also fat nine starts on the road this year. He’s allowed 13 home runs in 45 innings pitched. That’s about a home run per three and a half innings pitched. And that is not a good ratio for a starting pitcher. The current Padres’s roster, uh, right now they’re 30 for 86 against Brandon Fat, 30 for 86, a 349 team batting average, 371 team on base percentage. So, this current Padres’s roster has had a lot of success against Brandon Fat. Arizona’s bullpen has been shaky all season long. Uh 503 erra and 141 whip as a staff this year. And uh they’re only 27 for 43 on save attempts. So, they’ve only converted a poultry 62.8% 8% of their save opportunities, which is extremely low by Major League Baseball standards. Um, Dylan CE, like I said, he’s been very good at home this year. A 276 erra in eight home starts with a 125 whip in those eight home starts. He struck out 57 uh and 45 and twothirds innings pitched. So, he’s averaging better than a strikeout per innings pitched, which is always a uh good ratio. Uh the Padres’s bullpen at home this year has been lights out. A 244 ERA and a 105 whip as a staff. Unlike the Arizona Diamondbacks, the Padres’s bullpen specifically at home has been very good at converting their save opportunities at home this year, 15 for9, 78.9%. the current Diamondbacks against Dylan CE the current Diamondbacks roster that is against Dylan CE um they’re hitting just 211 as a team 237 on base percentage uh and that’s in 71 at bats and they struck out 19 times. Arizona is 0 and6 on the road this year off a one-run loss yesterday. coming off um that one- nothing defeat yesterday at San Diego. And Arizona’s also allowed four runs or less in each of their last four games. But since the 2023 season began, the Arizona Diamondbacks are 1 and4 against the money line after allowing four runs or fewer in each of their last four games. The Padres’s are 28-6 at home this year. That’s a very good 636 win percentage. And they’re also 6-0 at home this year if they’re coming off a shutout win. And they’re a moneyline favorite of minus 110 or greater. So the Padres’s at home as a moneyline favorite of minus 110 or greater. And they’re coming off a shutout win in their previous game. They’ve gone 6 and 0 uh this season. A perfect 6-0 that is. and uh they outscored their six opponents uh by 4.5 runs per game. Uh so very good and Arizona 4 and N in their last 13 games. Uh the Diamondbacks just can’t seem to get it going. Their hitting seems to be okay. Their pitching has been horrible this season. I’m going with the uh Padres’s minus 145 over the Arizona Diamondbacks. I’m really pressing the envelope here. I never like to go uh over 150 in terms of a favorite and uh I really try to limit the times that I even approach that number, but today is one of those instances.
