Fighting every single cell in my body to keep myself from screaming WE’RE BACK.

Almost as important as anything is the ALC turning back into the Comedy Central.
WTF happened to Minnesota and Cleveland tho. lol
Close to the WC, close to .500, boys are getting hot…it’s almost a shame the ASB is so close honestly, hate to kill the momentum.
Holding serve on the Hype Cannons until August, but the trigger finger is itchy…
A lot can happen in a weekend, even more can happen in a week, and still more can happen in 68 games.
They’ve got everything they need to be a playoff team, just need to improve their timely situational hitting and get some runs on the board a little more consistently. They can snatch a lot of wins just by scoring early and playing from ahead instead of behind, good arms in the org.
Doesn’t even qualify for a hot streak because of the all star break busts our momentum , horrible timing for a team getting hot and with jac warming up.
It seem when we get hot so do the rest of the teams in our division
Just don’t be stupid and go “all-in” because we’re kinda back in the hunt for 3rd wild card. Still need to trade Lugo for a haul and think about the long term future.
Best case is to be the Tigers from last season. They traded a very good starter bc his contract wouldn’t make sense going fwd but they weee still competitive and made the playoffs. I don’t think trading Lugo kills a shot at still making the wild card.
In my opinion, if this team had EVERYTHING going for them, they would still be below the top 5 teams in mlb. No shame in that. With the current set up in mlb that is impressive we are able to get that high. But it all comes down to what your goals are. If it is to make the playoffs then yeah trade for a piece or two. If it is to actually win the ALCS then I have major doubts this is the team. You would be better off selling a few pieces and coming back stronger next year. That is what Detroit did and look at them now.
Records against teams over 500:
2014: 44-45
2015: 47-43
2024: 45-54
2025: 20-34
My first thought is to stay calm and not get too excited, but really, what else should we be excited about? Sure, it might not work out, but why not go for it? Let’s go, Royals!
They gotta continue to play above .500 AND average more than 4 runs/game for at least a week after the break before I will consider them to be contenders.
