Brutally Honest Performance Review | D’Angelo Russell – Way Of Wade DLO 1
Today we’re checking out the Way of Wayade DLO1, D’Angelo Russell’s first signature basketball shoe. I know we’ve reviewed multiple pairs of his in the past, but I guess we were just loading up to this one. These have A1 traction, grippy tough rubber on the outsole. So, these are amazing indoor, but also suitable for outdoor play. And the traction pattern wraps up onto the forefoot of the medial side for support on unnatural movements. You’ve got a dual- density cushioning setup with fulllength boom underfoot and light foam ultra at the heel. So, it’s a cozy ride throughout and you feel supported on landings with plush cushioning. The DLO1 also has a TPU prolock bar running underneath the midsole that keeps you stabilized and gives you additional lateral support. And this is a dope design detail. When you stack the shoes on top of each other like this, it creates a butterfly. Shout out to Muhammad Ali. It is a DLO shoe, meaning it does have a slightly narrow fit. So, if you’re a wide- footer or want to wear them casually, I would go up a half size for more room. All in all, great basketball shoe. I think Wayey has another banger on their hands.
