Arizona Diamondbacks vs San Diego Padres Predictions Today | Top MLB Picks For 7/10/25

So, yeah, we cashed the over ticket last night like we did in game one. Uh we had over seven and a half or eight depending on where you got it. It didn’t uh really matter as the Dbacks prevailed 8-2. Basically cleared the ticket by themselves. Today we see Arizona minus 122 on the money line. Total sits at 8 and a half. A little bit of money coming in on the Dbacks. They opened at a smaller favorite last night and there are some nines popping up on the board. So we are seeing some money coming in on the over. Tonight we got Eduardo Rodriguez, the lefty, against Randy Vasquez, the right-handed pitcher. Uh Vasquez has been serviceable this year, 3.79 on the ERA. It’s coming off a solid outing. Uh two earned runs across six innings against Texas. Current Dbacks only batting 224 against Vasquez with a home run across 44 at bats. However, when you look at Vasquez, he has a 49 to 42 strikeout walk ratio, and that spells trouble in the major leagues. That’s not a very good uh strikeout walk ratio. He faces a patient team uh like these Arizona hitters can be, and that could spell trouble for him tonight. On the other side, we got Rod, uh the former Red Sox, former Tiger as well. Obviously, it’s been a rough year so far for him this year, a 578 erra, 1.62 on the whip. Uh he’s coming off a brutal outing against a weak hitting Kansas City team where he allowed uh eight earned runs, nine total runs across four and a third innings pitched. Current Padres is only hitting .205 with two home runs against him across 78 at bats. Uh but he’s never faced a couple hitters, couple key sluggers on this Padres’s team, uh including Tatis Jr. and uh Jackson Merrill. Again, the bullpens, we’ve done tons of Arizona videos so far this season, and I’ll say it again, it’s their Achilles heel. This bullpen is brutal. They’re bottom five bullpen on the season. Uh bottom 10 over the last 30 days. Padres’s a little bit of a different story. They’ve been really solid this year. They’re one of the better bullpen units, top four on the season, and they should have all their key arms uh ready to go tonight. So, I considered Arizona first five on the money line minus 130 basically based on the fact that the Padres’s are a bottom five lineup over the last 30 days against left-handed pitching. They cannot hit uh left-handed pitching whatsoever. And on the other side of things, Arizona stacking uh seven left-handed hitters against Vasquez. He’s not quite as good against left-handed bats. And also with that first five money line, we would avoid uh that Arizona bullpen. However, with Rod getting beat up by the Royals, I think this could be a spot, a sneaky spot where the Padres’s can actually score against Rod. And if they don’t get anything done against him, they’re gonna have a great chance to score later in this game. So, I feel like the better play here is the over eight and a half. Uh we’ve cashed a premium play in every t every game in this series. Uh we had the over in game one. We had the over in game three and then we had the Padres’s on the money line in game two. So, we’re going to go right back to the well here on the over. This head-to-head series has been a great recipe for overs. Seven of the last 11 head-to-heads, uh, we’ve seen nine plus runs scored. I think this is a spot where we can count on Arizona to score runs early against Vasquez and a spot where we can definitely count on the Padres’s to score late and potentially get on-rod as he’s uh been unreliable and he really just struggled against Kansas City. So, this could be a get-right spot for this Padres’s team against a Southpaw. So, let’s go over 8 and 1/2 to complete the sweep in this series.
