Chicago Cubs vs. Minnesota Twins MLB game highlights (July 10, 2025) l Marquee Sports Network

[Music] Hey, welcome to Cubs baseball here on Marquee Sports Network. Coming up this afternoon, it’s the Cubs and the Twins. Some day baseball. It’s game three, the series finale. Ian Hap ready to step in against this right-hander who’s got moderate reverse splits. Righties hit him a touch better this year and in his career. The first offering misses below the zone for ball one. And we are underway. Allan Porter is our plate umpire today. And Hap lifts that in the air center field. Bainer back and he’s there to make the catch. Remember the first pitch of the game last night. Able to take his walks and really that’s what Ian Hap does when he’s when he’s right. Drilled out towards left center field. Bader is there to pull it in. would have been a completely different explanation back in the 70s. Drilled out towards right center field. Bader coming on, dives and he can’t make the catch. Suzuki will take the turn but he’ll hang on at first. Bader the gold glover gave it a shot but couldn’t come up with volleyball. The 2-2 and reaching that one popped up. Foul ground long run. Lewis slows down and Lewis makes the grab. Pico Armstrong pops out and the Cubs are done in their half of the first. Here’s a swing at a fly ball out to center. A six pitch inning. One, two, three. Golden Twins. No score. End of one. The 14 game on base streak. Danby hitting 333 over that stretch. been on base 23 times. Hits that one out into left center field. It’ll touch down for a hit and Dansby cruising into second and it’s a one out double. A man in scoring position up the middle and it eats up Lee into center field. Swanson around third. Dansby is in. Nico delivers and it’s one- nothing. Paddock 3-2 swing and a foul tip into the mid of Jeff’s glove. Nico her RBI single and here in Minneapolis the Cubs have a one- nothing lead. Got him set up to come in if he wants that one drilled out towards right center field. Pete Co Armstrong and Tucker out there. I beg your pardon that Suzuki out there. Three two on Walner. And that’s ball four. And Minnesota’s a little That’s a It’s a great place to ice fish. Swanson on a tough hop. Teno at second for one out of first. And that’s a double play. Those are your gold glovers right there. Did not look like he was selling out going down the line. A tricky little hop there for Dansby to handle. And then Nico’s got his back to first base as he catches that feed. So he’s got to turn all the way around to make the throw. It was hard hit, but you think Kareah at full speed would have made this a little closer. Registered a lot of K. Yeah. 02. All the kids are K’s popped up. Horner is there and Nico has it and the double play is big. Colin Ray gets out of the jam. One- nothing Cubs. Line drive. Base hit right field. That one towards the corner. Walner over to dig it out and King Tuck into second with a double. Well, deep drive to center that got run down by Bader. This is drilled center field. Bader back back some more near the wall. Jumps and it’s gone. Pete Crow Armstrong will touch them all and the Cubs add on as it is 3 nothing number 24 for PCA. [Applause] Toyota official vehicle of the Chicago Cubs and he gets extended through that one straightaway center field for the 24th home run of the year. [Music] Bush pops this one up shallow left field. Castro is there to make the catch. So the Cubs get some slug today. PCA delivers three zip. 3-1 is a check swing and he did not go and Harrison Bader will take his base. That’s audio. That’s audio. That’s audio. This one laced to center right at Pete Crow Armstrong who’s there to make the catch and a nice easy inning for Colin Ray. Three nothing and a three. 832 OPS fourth best in MLB and that was a real issue last year. They were 26th in that department. That one falling and it falls for a hit out into right center and Carson Kelly cruises into second with a double. Man, that was in the air for a long time. Yeah, the uh the one two line drive. That’s a base hit into right field. Kelly had to hold up for his second and Nico is two out of two. The 2-1 in the air center field. Bader in. Makes the catch. Kelly will tag. He’s coming home. Throw is cut. Kelly is in. It’s a sacrifice fly for Matt Shaw. And it’s 4 nothing. Just a note in the air. Left field playable for Castro. It’s a Cali thing. Cubs had a run. We’ll go to the bottom of the fourth. Mike Kuzion. United States of America. High fast ball or splitter downs the way to go. It looks like they’re going to plan B. Splitter down. Got him. One, two, three. Golden Twins and Colin Ray settling into a groove. I was like, “All right, in the air to left field and the base hit.” Yeah. Well, I think you know all baseball players get mad. Yes. Um from time to time 3-2 and that’s ball four. More on Pete Crow Armstrong downstairs in Taylor. Boo. Year ago when Pete was playing with the Iubs, they traveled here to St. Paul and Pete drove his own car all the way up from but also the B and Bush is uh it’s got some calligraphy to it. That one flared into center and that’s a base hit. Coming around third and in to score is Suzuki. An RBI single for Michael Bush and the Cubs lead 5 nothing. Line drive base hit left field. Dansby Swanson knocks in PCA and it’s 6 nothing. And I think those wispy issues for Dansby and a two- two ground ball diving play by Lewis coming home. They get one and that’s all they’ll get. Popped up. Lee has it. Cubs add two more. We’ll go to the bottom of the fifth. It is six to nothing. 80 points of slug and more on base percentage. That one is high and deep and gone. And Cody Clemens clears the wall. A home run and the Twins are on the board. So Clemens with the homer. That is number 11 for Cody. 50some plate appearances. Line drive knocked down. BCH scrambles to get it. Ray is there safe and Lewis and it resulted in changes to bat regulations and inspection processes. This one popped up. Swanson is out there and Dansby has it. Loses the sunglasses but makes the play. And certainly he’s gotten more than his fair share of opportunities, but he a slug. Swing and a highf fly ball center field going back is Bader. Slowing down and he makes the catch shy of the warning track. Suzuki just missed it. We’ll go bottom six. 10game winning streak snapped. Yep. And then there’s a Oh, he went too far. Struck him out. Lee is gone. 3-2 broke his bat. Roller Nico her and over to first and one two three go the Twins will move to the seventh here at Target Field at 6-1. The Savage fires swing a highf fly ball well struck right field that’s back and it’s gone. He’s done it again. Pico Armstrong his second of the day and it is all Cubs here in Minneapolis 71 and the PCA chance here. Yeah, first time it was a fast ball this time breaking pitch. This home run is brought to you by Hefty Hefty Hefty ultra strong ultra low price. Another no doubter from PCA. The 1-1. Kelly lifts that right field and Walner during the game. Two two cut on and miss. Keller gets him and Bader has gone on strikes. you know, their dress shoes, feeling ground balls. One guy had a was working a heater out there, you know, and I literally I waited. I was one of the younger kids and I waited all day. Swaying a miss. How about Colin Ray? Nice finish. Hugs everybody. Hit hard. Clemens out at first. A whiffle ball do that line drive into center field. Pete Co Armstrong will take it in a bounce and Royce Lewis with a single. Good work today by Colin Ray during the game. Two two cut on and miss. Keller gets him and Bader has gone on strikes. 3-1 and and Keller issues the walk. So to a board just enough off speed and corner drifting out, makes the catch. Lee is out and Keller gets out of the jam. We’re headed to the ninth in Minneapolis. And a liner out into center field that’s going to fall for hit. It’s a three hit game for Suzuki. Yes, would like that. Base hit up the middle. Suzuki around second. He’s not stopping. PCA hustling for second and he’s in as Bader went down hard. Watch PC PCA do his thing out here. I mean, Father has to go a long way to get that and then think he was surprised to see PCA up the middle. Oh, what a play. Koreah and he steals a hit from Michael Bush. Run comes in. Swanson hits it in the air out towards left center. Castro and Bader. And it’ll be Bader to make the grab. We’ll head to the bottom of the ninth here in Minnesota and the Cubs are on top. One, two, swinging a miss. And he got him with one right there. And good one. One, two, swing and a miss. Struck him out. Ball game. Cubs win. [Applause] That’s more like it. Overpowering performance by the Cubs here today. All phases of the game. Starting pitching, bullpen, couple real nice defensive plays and a breakout game offensively after struggling for a couple of days. You know, if you’re only going to win one out of three, I always say win the last one.

  1. Thank God they salvaged a series, but overall a disappointing 3-match series for giving up the first 2 games to the under .500 Twins team struggling to make the AL Wild Card.
And with the Brewers playing the Nats during the weekend which they are expected to win the series, the Cubs really have to step up against the Yankees in Bronx.

  2. I am getting sick and tired of Ian Happ being an automatic out to start the game or start an inning- Tucker is suffering because of him- Time to move him out of leadoff spot

  3. I'm starting to see a pattern to Cubs' games recently. When PCA has good "at bat" games, Cubs' win, when he doesn't, we don't. Not calling this factual, just seems like it to me.

  4. Best thing about the Cubs first half of the baseball season is they found their closer and don't have to pay an arm and a leg for one at the trade deadline.

  5. Most games that are heavily controlled, rigged, and scripted, do not show up when you search for mlb. Everything is controlled. Everything is owned by devil worshipping, child touchers and child fluid drinkers. Wake up and change the world.

  6. Happ sucks..always has..a switch hitter that can't hit his weight from the right side..he missed games due to injury but still has the highest strikeout rate on the team..don't worry though he'll get his hits when they play Pittsburgh or Cincinnati..he kills those two bad teams..I'm glad someone else noticed that Swanson with the big contract can't hit with runners on base or in scoring position..he should never bat higher than 6 or 7 in lineup regardless if he's hot or not..
