He’s got a lot of high walk totals this year. The most in a game he walked seven angels back on June 23rd. That is his second walk tonight. Here’s Hassan Kim. High throw low back. One- nothing Boston. Fourth inning. Kim grounded to short on the first pitch he saw first time up. Kim really showed off some power yesterday and the game time double that he hit over the head of Parker Meadows who I think was playing in several steps. Kim really made them pay for that. A bluff by Logan Orvay is thinking. Yeah, it it was impressive because of the way that he got the bat through the zone and the backspin that he created. you know that I’ll never forget that swing because he came through and had that high finish, you know, like he really really got through that baseball and it looked like, you know, Meadows was going to be able to potentially make a play. That ball just wouldn’t come down. That was very well struck to the big part of the field there. Well, this a considerably smaller park on the outfield compared to Kame Park. Low is running and that was fouled off. Low could have probably stolen second base right there standing up. That was a high long leg kick from Walker Buer and he got a great jump. That bag was stolen. I always wonder, can a hitter tell? I mean, they’ve got so much to focus on. I I imagine a hitter can’t really tell, can they? I mean, there could you they may pick up a blur, but they’re so locked in on release point. Two balls, two strikes. Lois short in his lead and it’s full. That’s what the Tigers did well against Kim. Clarity, in fact, went breaking ball down and away. Got a little anxious. There’s Chandler Simpson on deck. on three and two. Let’s see if low goes. He is running. Driven in the air to the monster and over the monster. Kim with his first homer as a Ray and it’s two to one Rays here in the fourth. And the patience that they showed against Beller pays off enormously. The Rays have their first lead of the series. Did that have that same kind of backspin with the finish? Yes, it did. Yes, it did. I mean, that’s when you get the bat through the zone just a little quicker than you did yesterday. Those are the results you’re going to get. [Music] [Applause] Tell you what, it can’t be much better than when you’re new to a team and you you show your value. I mean, he’s done that on this trip. and you get out get it out of the way early, you know, gets that first game and ends up tweaking the the calf. Not able to play for a couple of days. That had to be, you know, just a not feeling real great about that. But boy, you get back in and here it is. That little cutter and boy, he catches it clean right out in front. That’s another one. Just wouldn’t come down. It just kept carrying. Kept carrying. Couple of deep counts, a walk, and then a homer. And the Rays have an answer to the Red Sox.
