Cowboys Fan Needs To Hear What Jon Gruden Said About The Dallas Cowboys!

Well, well, well. The expectations for the Cowboys right now are insane. Some people are expecting the Cowboys to get to the NFC Championship game or the Super Bowl, and then some people are expecting the Cowboys to be worse than what they were last year. I mean, everybody has something to say about the Dallas Cowboys, and I totally understand it. The Cowboys are big business. And when Hall of Fame players or certain coaches say things about the Cowboys, well, I’m very interested. Doesn’t mean we have to do what they say, but I’m still very interested. And now we have a Super Bowl winning coach, one of my favorite coaches, that has come out and said what the Cowboys need to do. He believes to get back to their championship ways. And I’m very interested and I think you’ll be interested, too. I think every Cowboys fan needs to hear what John Guden has to say about the Dallas Cowboys. Let’s talk Cowboys. We’re about to talk facts. Welcome, welcome, welcome cowboy fans and cowboy haters alike. I’m the G and I’m the host of Let’s Talk Cowboys where we talk facts. And if you like this video, don’t forget at the end to please like, share, subscribe, hit that notification bell so you know the next time we post another video or go live. And if you haven’t become a channel member or subscriber yet, please do. We have a lot of great things coming in the future. Now, let’s talk facts. John Gruden. We know that John Guden is no longer a coach in this league, but there are some things very strange about that that we won’t go into into this v in this video, but nevertheless, no one can deny John Gruden is a great football mind. And I do believe that John Gutten knows what it takes to win championships in this league. problem is even when you know uh you can’t get everything that you need sometimes with certain teams and so John Gruden has won one Super Bowl and I again I do believe he knows what it takes to win and a lot of these coaches people don’t realize I’ve said this before about the Cowboy I mean about some of these coaches and GMs and players who have went on to be coaches people don’t realize that a lot of these people watch the Dallas Cowboys absolutely dominate in the ‘9s and some of the things that you’re seeing today are these teams who grew grew up watching the Cowboys win in the ‘9s. They’re implementing some of the same things the Cowboys did. You think about the renaissance of the running back. You think about now how people are trying to build up their offensive and defensive lines. Well, that’s actually nothing new. Tom Landry did it in the 70s. Uh Jimmy Johnson did it in the ‘9s. And now the Cowboys need to do it again in the 2020s. And so John Gruden, one of these coaches I believe that grew up watching the Cowboys, uh he has some things to say about the Dallas Cowboys and how that they can get back to their championship ways. And I think you’re going to notice something very quickly about what he’s also going back to. Let’s roll it. If you were the GM for the Cowboys, what are you doing? Are you fixing anything? You changing anything? Are you leaving anything the same? Well, Prescott, you know, you got to keep him healthy. This is number one. This is number one. The Cowboys even faced this somewhat when they when they got on their championship run in the ’90s. Troy Aman came off of an injury, I think it was in 91. Then the Cowboys, you know, they came back in that 92 season and they were ready to go. The offensive line was where it needed to be. You know, Troy Aman stayed healthy the whole season. and they were ready to go with Dak Prescott. We know that Dak Prescott when healthy is a top five quarterback. A lot of people do not realize Dak has absolutely killed this league and he’s never had the kind of tandem that he has right now and he was still tearing up the league. When Amari Cooper came to this team, City Lamb was not the CD Lamb that we’re looking at right now. But the CD land we’re looking at right now with George Pickkins, George Pickkins is at a very pivotal point of his career and he is definitely on the upswing and this is definitely going to be at least in my estimation. I think this has the opportunity to be the second. It could even be the best wide receiver do what we’ve ever seen for the Cowboys, but they’re going to have to do a lot to overcome Drew Pearson and Tony Hill. But I digress. But again, Dak Prescott has got to stay healthy. He has to stay healthy. It is the key to this season. As much as I like Joe Milton, and I know people are trying to blow Joe Milton up out of the spot, pump the brakes on Joe Milton, Joe Milton still needs about another year or two to develop. And with the team that we’re putting together, the last thing that we need is just, okay, pure athleticism, come in and win. No, that’s stupid. We got an absolutely crazy schedule this year. And Dak Prescott needs to stay healthy. Dak Prescott stays stays healthy, we’re going to have double- digit wins. But even then, with double- digit wins, with Dak Prescott, that’s still not going to be enough to win the championship. He goes even further. Yeah, obviously. I just think this is the Dallas Cowboys. Where’s Emtt Smith? He’s retired. We got to run the ball. Second point he’s making, did you notice he mentioned Emtt Smith? He’s really just saying something simple. Who is the running back for the Dallas Cowboys going into into this season? I’m sorry. I do not want to see a running back by committee. I don’t want to see it. The Cowboys need to pick who is going to be their bellcow back. Jaden Blue is going to be the change up back. Jayen Blue is going to be in the passing game in the run game. I don’t see I don’t see him being that back. I want Phil Mafa. I’m hoping that Phil Mafa can emerge as that back to me. Miles Sanders and Javvante Williams, they’re they’re merely placeholders. They are merely placeholders. The Cowboys, it’s either going I I think it’s going to if it’s not Phil Mafa, then we may be in danger of having some kind of running back by committee. Don’t want to see it. I just don’t think it works. Running backs, they need to be fed. They need to really get it going. And I don’t think you can get it going just with this running back by committee. I think you can get it going with you got your main or your primary back and then you bring in another back maybe two to three times during the game to be that change up, but we need that bellcow back like I miss Smith was. And so he’s just really asking who who who’s our running back? Who’s our bail cow back? And the other issue is what is going to be our running identity? Now, we’ve already heard Clayton Adams talking about we’re going to be violent in the run game. We’ve been hearing this stuff. But again, Dak Prescott is Colin Kerd said it. Neighborhood Dak Neighborhood Dak Prescott hater said Dak Prescott with a run game is Patrick Mahomes. Dak Prescott is a play action quarterback. He will eat if the Cowboys get this running game together. Check him out. They don’t even run the ball. I don’t know who the running back is. They used to pound your face in with the very intimidating offensive line. Another issue, offensive line, the Cowboys. I I’m calling it the triangle. I think the addition of Tyler Booker, you already have Cooper BB. You got Tai Smith. Right there is your triangle. Our question is going to be our offensive tackles, Tyler Gen, Terrence Steel. Are they up to the task? Will we be able to run the ball with them? Because Gruden is basically saying something. I saw the ’90s Cowboys. They had a running game. They had a top tier running back and their offensive line was second to none. The Cowboys in the ‘9s, bludgeoned teams on the line of scrimmage. They controlled the offensive line of scrimmage. There was nothing nobody could do, especially once the Cowboys got in the 20s. I mean, got inside the red zone. Imit Smith was an absolute red zone terror for teams because of that offensive line and how savvy IT Smith was. Not to mention, you got Michael Irvin as your tight as your uh wide receiver. Cowboys were absolutely devastating. And so, John Gruden is saying something. What do you look like on the offensive and defensive line? Jimmy Johnson did a great job of building that team from the inside out. And so the Cowboys are going to have to do the same if they’re going to have a run game and if they’re going to keep Dak Prescott upright. Not only do they need a great offensive line, listen to what he says next. Now it’s kind of like a seven on seven passhappy offensive attack. And I don’t think their defense other than Parsons has an identity. Defense. Defense. See, a lot of people don’t understand the best thing you can get your quarterback. I talked about this. The best thing you can get your quarterback is a defense. Your quarterback plays differently with a defense. Your quarterback has a lot more swag when he’s got a top five defense. I’m telling you, he does. He knows that he can make a if if there’s a turnover, if some he can take risk, if there’s a play that’s made on the ball. He’s not worried about it cuz his defense going to get it back. And then he can come back out the second time, go look at the mistake he made, come back out the second time, uh uh correct that mistake, capitalize, score the ball, and then he can get his defense comes back out and they stop that other teams will score. Well, that’s how the ‘ 90s Cowboys were. Their defense was incredible. And in 1992, they had the number one defense in football. See, a lot of people talk about the triplets the same way we’re talking about Dak Prescott, CD Lamb, and now George Pickkins. You know, you could talk about them. You know, you can talk about them all they want to, but if these offensive and defensive lines aren’t together, it’s not going to matter. Yeah, we’re going to outscore some teams, but I’m telling you, we don’t need to go into this season with that same that same mentality of we can outscore every team cuz you’re not going to bet out score every team. Not every team. And especially when you start talking about hitting these championships, you’re not going to be able to beat championship teams. You know, you’re not going to be able to beat championship level teams with championship level defenses. You’re not just going to be able to merely outscore them. No, you need to stop them from scoring. And so, again, he’s talking about the defense. The Cowboys defensive line in the ’90s was absolutely incredible. Lineback linebacker play was incredible. Secondary play was incredible. The Cowboys got to really we we got to really see what this defense looks like. Cowboys got some great additions. You know, guys like Solomon Thomas, Dante Fowler, Donovan Ezrau, Savon Revel Jr. Cowboys got some players, I believe, already in place. You know, we we still got to decide what our our safety positions are going to look like. Uh we got to get Demo back. I mean, we got some things we got some things in place. We just got to see how it all plays out. But again, inside out, offensive and defensive lines. This is where Gruden is. He’s talking about them 90s Cowboys, I’m telling you. You know, and and Lawrence is gone. I don’t know the over Sean’s a great linebacker, but he’s hurt. I just don’t know what their what their defensive mentality is. And I I miss the old Dallas Cowboy. And don’t we all don’t we all miss the ’90s Cowboys? And you know what? I don’t think it’s so much that we miss the ’90s Cowboys. I just think we miss being in the championship game. I think we miss being in Super Bowls. I think that’s what we’re really missing because just like people missed, I talked about this before when Jerry came in, bought the team, fired Tom Landry, moved the Cowboys out of uh moved Cowboys out of the old Texas stadium, started changing up all of these different things. A lot of people were missing even though the Cowboys were not winning when Jerry took the team over. people just just just have selective memory. But a lot of people were yearning for the old 70s and 80s Cowboys, you know, the days of Roger Starb, Drew Pearson, Danny White, and those guys. But what made us forget about that? Jimmy Johnson, his coaching staff, Troy Eggman, EMTT Smith, Michael Irvin, the Eric Williams, the Nate Newton’s, the Darren Woodsons. I mean, when you know the Kevin Smiths, you know, when the Cowboys, the way you get over one team is you start winning with a new team. And I don’t think, like, again, I don’t think it’s we’re necessarily missing the ’90s Cowboys. I think we’re missing the winning ways of the ’90s Cowboys. And I think that’s what John Gruden is talking about. And I think this is what this fan base is yearning for. We are yearning for this team to start winning again. And I do believe it’s going to happen. Again, stop taking this as negative, Cowboys fans. I think the Cowboys, again, I’m using what I have have have deemed the Jimmy Johnson gauge. I got to see what we look like in the preseason because right now on the Jimmy Johnson gauge, I think we’re at about where the Cowboys were in 91 maybe where they were in 91. You know, they were a couple of more players, couple of more players, couple of more draft picks, couple of more things, you know, a couple of more adjustments, you know, away from winning the Super Bowl like they did in the 92 season and the 93 season. I think we’re getting close, but I think we need one more draft, one more free agency, and maybe another one of these players like, okay, George Pickkins. Now, who will be that guy we bring in next year? And we say, now this is going to push the Cowboys over the top, and we’re ready to roll. But again, y’all tell me what y’all think. Man, I’m excited about this Cowboys season. Ready to get this thing kicked off. Training camp, I think, begins what, June the 20th or June the 21st. Ready to get it going. They’ve already released the Cowboys preseason schedule, man. Before you know it, September going to be here. Cowboys Thursday night opening night. And boy, the plan is to put foots in them Eagles. Y’all tell me what you think about John Gutten and where you think the Cowboys are. Like, share, subscribe, hit that notification bell. DC4L. God bless. Until the next time, let’s talk Cowboys where we talk facts. Peace.

  1. What people are forgetting about the 90's … In the early '90s, there was no salary cap, and rich teams like the Cowboys and Niners could stack talent without limits. Jerry Jones pushed the envelope with trades and creative contracts, leading to 3 Super Bowl wins in 4 years. That dominance exposed the gap between big and small market teams, pushing the NFL to add a salary cap in 1994 to keep things fair.

  2. ❤ U BROTHER,CLASS 93,WEST COAST,CB4L……………… POLITICS ARE OUT THIS YEAR TX LEADING WORLD INTO THE FUTURE 😮😮😮😮😮😮😮😮😮😮😮 WATCH ❤15YEARS TX WORKING 😮❤U MAN

  3. This is a delusional ridiculously naive podcast show. It’s likely you have been dead the last 3 decades. Gruden will say what Gruden will say to sound positive. Anyone who thinks the Cowoboys is a double digit win team needs to just pack it in and stop talking or watching football. This team is light years away from any kind of championship. They will be picking in the top 10 in next year’s draft, book it!

  4. Stop it!!! It's still the Cowboys!!! THE DALLAS COWBOYS WILL NEVER WIN ANOTHER CHAMPIONSHIP UNDER THIS OWNERSHIP……PERIOD!! It's not their year…..Jerry has turned the Cowboys into the most popular losers…Jerry wins the championship every year…financially That's ALL he cares about!!! Agian…THE DALLAS COWBOYS WILL NEVER WIN ANOTHER CHAMPIONSHIP UNDER THIS OWNERSHIP….PERIOD!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  5. When are you guys going to learn that you don’t have a head coach you do in body but that’s it. The Dallas Cowboy fan base really trips me out how they think thst Schottenheimer is going to take them where Landry and Jimmy Johnson took them.. y’all have the worst Head Coach in the division and low tier coach in the NFC conference.

Do y’all not understand Jerry took them where easy way out by hiring Schottenheimer the man has had 9 jobs over 28 yrs and it’s not because everybody wanted him have him as their coach. It’s almost laughable that anyone thinks Dallas can win with him. Just like Brandon Graham said the NFC East will come down to My commanders and the Eagles.

  6. Were MISSING the playoffs, were MISSING winning playoff games. ENOUGH with the 90's Cowboys talk PLEASE, them glory days is LONG gone. Its time to be the 2020's Cowboys and stop making excuses. Didn't the commanders just make it to the NFC chip game earlier this year with a rookie qb and only half as as talented a team that we had? Smh Of course dak has to be healthy every team wants their qb to be, when dak is healthy what has that gotten us? How many more players do we need? Its like the built in excuses are there just in case we dont go far next season. STOP IT already, with the team we have now we should be able to compete for the division, the NFC chip. Im not going to say the super bowl but anythings possible in any given year. No more excuses G, we either put up or shut up. No more coddling the players, coaches, its time to start getting it done NOW

  7. I want all COWBOYS to report to training camp with buzz style military haircuts for this reason, GentleMen: no hair provides for smaller and lighter headgear, thus creating less drag and greater on field speed. U'all will need this for SUPER BOWL LX vs. Colorado COLTS where Bo Nix gets MVP in loss, halleluYAH!

  8. Dude, you Delusional🤣🤣🤣The only thing Jon Gruden did,was take a Team Tony Dungy put together,an win the Super Bowl, bottom line🤔How many did Jon win after that,NONE🤣🤣🤣🤣🤔

  9. Jerry doing what Jerry needs to do to keep fans interested enough to keep buying merch and buying tickets. I see another year of hype and build up only to end with more disappointment and let down. Seen all of this before. Not falling for it anymore.

  10. It all come down to o line play am d line play if dallas can't stop the run none of the rest matters if the o line dose not play great none of the rest matters

  11. Your enthusiasm is admirable, but this year is going to be yet another year of underachievement. Hire this coach, draft that player, make a blockbuster trade — none of it matters. Jerry is the limiting factor, and the 'boys won't be a serious contender till he goes. I wish I was wrong, but Jerry has proven it to me year after year. His undercutting micromanagement perpetually dooms this team.

  12. Even if the Offensive line Stays healthy and Prescott plays well during the regular season and they just happen to get into the playoffs that's great. That just means Prescott he has to play a Real good team to advance and his nerves are just not there makes to many mistakes.Jerry should have let him go years back.

  13. They expect this ish EVERY year only to be let down. I really think the league has a rule about talking bad about the cowboys. The press gives them a chance every year and most won't say anything crazy about them no matter how garbage they are.

  14. I think this is a pretty accurate assessment of the Cowboys and where they currently stand and where they need to go, going forward if they are gonna take us back to the "Glory Days". The way I see it, this team is a couple of seasons and a couple of good draft picks away from being a creditable threat in the play offs still.

  15. I don't expect shit other than the leagues continuing to rig games, face the truth and know that everything is about the house always winning.😂😂😂

  16. Lmao thats any qb…every quarterback needs to stay healthy. A genius at stating the obvious. A 10 year old can state the same obvious points….smh.

  17. Dak is no way top 5 now, especially w age and injuries. Then he takes 60M for himself, which takes away ability to build dominate O and D lines. Lamb and Parsons will add to that problem too. This team is stuck for 2 years until they can get out from under Dak contract. Cowboy fans always over estimate this time of year until season gets going.

  18. I’m an Eagles 🦅 fan but I must say ,I really enjoy ur channel you seem like a realistic Dallas fan . Ur takes r a honest opinions .. thank u

  19. The problem is we don't have a bell cow RB on the roster. We could have gotten one last year in Derrick Henry but Jerry didn't even pick up the phone to call. You see what Philadelphia did with Barkley??? Hopefully this offensive line comes together and can run block because I don't know we have a RB that is going to be able to make plays without blocking. I liked the acquisition of Pickens and the '25 draft looks good on paper. But, I still see a whole lot of questions that need addressed with this team. Just my honest 2 cents.

  20. Two things here 1) I agree about Mafah but 2) everyone keeps forgetting Luepke. Emmit had the Moose and I see a lot of similarities between the two fullbacks with one difference….Luepke can catch and even play a little tight end

  21. Cowboys will light up on offense, but their opponents will likely do the same against their leaky defense. Expect to see some high scoring games.

  22. I think that the offensive line will be the major factor this year. I disagree with the take on the running back by committee. I think it is actually the more intelligent strategy for the season strictly because of the confidence we should have in Clayton Adams and this Oline.

  23. G, I love your stuff but I’m not a Dak believer, as you are. Some QB’s raise their game in the playoffs…some don’t. Dak is what I call a “regular season stats” QB. Show me what you can do when the stakes are the highest. He was awful against the Packers in the playoffs 2 years ago, until garbage time. He helped take the Cowboys out of that game, though hardly the only reason. He’s not that great at reading defenses. He’s not the same guy on his feet as he was before his big season-ending injury a few years back. Everything has to go just right for Dak to succeed. I’m just not a Dak guy.

  24. Lol as a cowboys fan of 50 yrs .The cowboys will not win anything as long as Dak is the QB .EVERYEAR SAME OLD CRAP BEFORE THE SEASON STARTS. STOP BEING DELUSIONAL FANS.
