Saints Receive GREAT NEWS | The Future Is Bright In New Orleans!

We got some great news around the Saints coaching staff. So, in today’s video, I’m going to go step by step why the Saints and us fans should be celebrating this coaching staff going into this season. But I got a question for you. Who runs the South? Who runs the division? Who runs the chat sports walls here? We don’t have a Bucks channel. We don’t have a Panthers channel cuz we don’t cover fake football teams. I don’t know why we have a Falcons channel, but for some reason we do. So, Falcons today, the most liked video they’ve had this month, 550 likes. Let’s smoke them. Let’s absolutely crush that number. At least 600 likes on this video. And I’m a happy camper, but hell, I think we can double that number. So, like the video if you can’t stand the Falcons and if you believe the New Orleans Saints should and will run the NFC South once again. Now, Kellen Moore, he’s put together a great coaching staff. We haven’t really spent a lot of time discussing each of the coaching hires and all of the new guys that are here in New Orleans, but I think that the Saints have really crafted something special because this is a coaching staff that not only is young, fresh, and exciting. This is a coaching staff that I believe can get to a sustained level of success and can achieve consistent wins. That is a firm belief that I have. Kellen Moore being the head coach. Doug Nusmeer and Brandon Staley being the coordinator. Phil Galliano, he was the special teams coordinator and internal promotion after Darren Rizzy left. TJ Pagnetti, he’s the run game coordinator. Keith Williams, the wide receivers’s coach. Brendan Nent, the offensive line coach. Jarry Evans, he’s the assistant offensive line coach again. Scott Tolsey being the quarterback’s coach. Bo Davis, the defensive line coach. And there’s a lot of other notable names as well, but here are the top 10 names that I am really, really excited about. And honestly, the 10 names that Saints fins should start to familiarize themselves if they haven’t already. Now, let’s be honest, the good news is that nobody is going to be poaching any coaches from the New Orleans Saints anytime soon. The good news is this is a coaching staff and a unit that can be together for a multitude of seasons and can start now by building a level of success and building a foundation in order to achieve that sustained success that we continue to talk about here on the channel. In terms of some coordinators across the league who could be promoted as head coaches, there’s a lot of really good names out there. some Saints fans are very familiar with Joe Brady, Brian Flores, Cliff Kingsbury to be specific, Steve Spagnolo, Matt Naggie, Zack Ore, Vance Joseph, just to name a few others. And of course, there’s other options out there, too. But the good news is that no Saints coaches are going to be on that list. No Saints coaches should be on that list for a long time, unless of course, you know, you go undefeated and win a Super Bowl or something ridiculous happens, which won’t happen. But typically, coaches leave their jobs for a promotion. And it may not just be a title promotion. It may be a situational promotion. Like, let’s call a spade a spade here. Being the offensive coordinator for the New Orleans Saints is a lot less desirable than being the offensive coordinator for, let’s say, the Philadelphia Eagles, the Baltimore Ravens, the Chiefs, the Bills, the Bengals, Ste, like the top tier in the upper echelon of NFL teams. Those are the highest ranking jobs. And those coordinator positions, in my opinion, you can argue may be more valuable and maybe more desirable than some of those shittier head coaching roles. But I seriously think that this is a squad that has coaches that aren’t going anywhere for promotions anytime soon. And I’m a firm believer that Brandon Staley isn’t going anywhere. So, we’ve talked a little bit about Kellen Moore. We talked a little bit about the gen or the general coaching staff here, but I want to go coach by coach in terms of the head coach and the two new coordinators here in New Orleans. I seriously doubt teams are itching to hire Brandon Staley away. Remember, this was a guy who when the last time he held this position of being a defensive coordinator, he won the Super Bowl. He led the best defense in the league partially due to Jaylen Ramsey and Aaron Donald being a factor, but they were coached by Brandon Staley and he did such a good job that he was promoted to the head coaching role in Los Angeles still from the Rams to the Chargers. We all know that the Chargers tenure did not go well. He was not set up for success there. this was never going to be a team led by Brandon Staley that was going to be super successful in the Los Angeles Chargers. However, I think because of the recency um the recent failure of being a head coach, teams are going to be a little bit hesitant to go and hire Brandon Staley to be a head coach anytime soon. And I mean, there’s not much of a promotion from coordinator to anything else outside of a head coach unless it’s a better team or a better situation. So, I think right now Brandon Staley is in a perfect spot and the Saints defense is really, really set up in terms of a coaching standpoint to be led to success. Now, let’s go to the offense here because the Saints could also have offensive coordinator Doug Nusmeer around for a long, long time. Look, I am a firm believer that Doug Nusmeer took this job because he wanted to follow Kell Moore. He’s followed Kell Moore to a bunch of different stops in the past few years. And look, here’s the thing. Even if Doug Nusmeer does get poached, if he does take a promotion or he does get hired elsewhere, the Saints aren’t losing their play caller, the Saints aren’t losing the guy who’s running the offense. That’s the beauty of having an offensive-minded head coach who’s calling the plays. Granted, we haven’t seen how well it will go, but I do believe Kellen Moore will be an extremely effective play caller. And that’s why I’m not necessarily worried about Doug Nusmeer. One, he’ll either stick around and for a long time. And we got a head coach and OC pairing for the foreseeable future, which is extremely valuable. Also factor in the defensive coordinator and Brandon Staley. or two, he gets hired away in a couple years and your uh play caller is still Kell Moore. So, right now, in my personal opinion, the New Orleans Saints are set up to carry the core of this young coaching staff for a multipleear run. They have a young coaching staff that’s hungry, that’s exciting, that I think is really innovative, and that I think will be really, really effective over the foreseeable future. I want to get into a more deep dive on each of these coaches individually, but we need to make one major major push. I’m not going to sit here and ask for subs for quite a while, but what I will tell you is we’re trying to hit 50,000 subscribers by week one. That is on September 7th against the Arizona Cardinals. So today’s goal, I just want to gain 50 subs. Just 50. That is a very attainable goal. He was the quarterback at Boise State and was extremely extremely successful as the quarterback in college. had a 49 and3 overall record as the quarterback for the Broncos, which is absolutely insane. And then he went undrafted, was a quarterback for the Dallas Cowboys and the Detroit Lions from 2012 to 2017. And then he hung up his cleats and picked up a clipboard and he was the quarterback’s coach for Dallas in 2018. quickly climbed the ladder and became the offensive coordinator just one season later in 2019 and held that title until the 2022 season. And then he left the Dallas Cowboys to go coach and be the offensive coordinator under Brandon Staley with the Los Angeles Chargers. That didn’t work out. He heads over to Philadelphia, wins the Super Bowl in 2024. And this is a coach who’s only 37 years old, extremely young, the youngest head coach in the National Football League for that matter. And he’s a creative, innovative offensive mind. And Kell Moore’s offenses have been so damn successful year in and year out. Look at all of the spots that his offenses rank in the top 10. No huddle rate every year, neutral pace every year, offensive plays per game every year, points per game every year, yards per game in five of six years. I mean, this is a coach that has gotten it done at a high level at every stop when given the opportunity. Five out of six. I mean, come on. That’s pretty damn good if you ask me. Especially considering some of the situations that he was coaching. He’s worked with some good quarterbacks. He’s worked with some good offenses, but then he’s also had to find a way to make things succeed whenever there’s been injuries or whenever you’ve had really uh unique talents in players like Saquon Barkley. So, I think that Kell Moore really is the right coach and the right hire for this team. He’s building a culture. He’s defining what his team needs to look like. And I do believe this is the path that the New Orleans Saints should follow for the, you know, next handful of years. I don’t see any reason to try and switch things up anytime soon. Even if year one, hell, year two, isn’t amazing, I’m really not pulling the plug yet. Now, I will tell you what you should go check out is this awesome sale. This shirt, it was almost 60 bucks. I made the link clickable in the comments and description of this show. Now let’s talk about Doug Nusmeer. He’s a player um that actually wore the black and gold before. He was a fourth round pick by the New Orleans Saints back in the year of 1994. He was the offensive coordinator and a quarterback’s coach from 2008 to 2017. and he coached at Fresno State, had a couple stints at Michigan, coached at Washington, Alabama, and Florida, and then he moved up to the National Football League, coached for the Cowboys as a tight end’s coach from 2018 to 2019, and then stayed with Dallas for another couple of seasons in 2020 to 2022 as the quarterback’s coach, and then moved over to Los Angeles, followed Kell Moore in 2023, and then followed Kell Moore to Philadelphia in 2024. Garrett Nusmeer. He is currently the quarterback of the LSU Tigers. So, it begs the question, will we get to see the NUSB bus in New Orleans next year? In order for this to happen, the Saints are going to need to have a top three, top five pick. I It’s maybe even held a top one pick. For what it’s worth, objectively, I can recognize that this would be a poetic thing to happen for the New Orleans Saints. It would objectively be really really cool to see a coach get to draft his son early for the hometown team in Louis in the or not I mean hometown team but for staying in Louisiana the team that drafted his dad. I I objectively think that would be cool. However, that should not be the goal. That should not be the hope. That should not be the expectation. The goal is to not be picking number one overall. I just want to make that explicitly clear. But for what it’s worth, in the 2026 draft, it would be sick to see uh Nusmeer, both Nus Meyers, I should say, uh end up in New Orleans. Now, let’s get back over to the defensive side of the football. Brandon Staley, he started his coaching career in the college ranks at Northern Illinois State, uh St. Thomas in Minnesota, Tennessee as a grad assistant. He also coached at John Carroll, James Madison, and Chattanooga. So, a lot of smaller schools there, but then rose up to the National Football League on the Chicago Bears coaching staff as an off uh outside linebackers coach 2017 to 2018. And then in 2019, held the same position for the Denver Broncos. Gets that promotion to the Los Angeles Rams to be the defensive coordinator, won a Super Bowl in 2020, and then got that promotion um to be the head coach of the Los Angeles Chargers. And last year he spent his season with the 49ers as the assistant head coach. And Brandon Staley’s defense is expected to be a three four base scheme, meaning you’ll have three down linemen, four linebackers, like you have your two interior guys and then you have your two edge rushers and then you’ll have four defensive backs. So that’s what you should expect to see on just about any general play. Of course, situationally there will be different looks, but for the most part, the base scheme will be a three- four defense. The core principles, um, they emphasize versatility and flexibility. They It really appeals to players who can do a lot of different things like Alante Taylor, like Tyron Matthew, like Justin Reed, Danny Stsman, Chase Young. I mean, you’re going to ask a lot of these players to do some various different or to hold various different roles on the defense. And I do think Bo Davis being hired for the defensive line coach was a massive, massive get. He is a great coach, very well respected as a football coach. And I think that he will really help elevate and maximize the talent across the defensive line. And I think this defense as a whole will be more modern. It’ll be faster. It’ll be um more energetic. And I think that this will defense will set up the playmakers and the players on the defense to make plays and create stops. That’s what I think is going to happen with Brandon Staley’s defense. Now, who do you think or what should I say? What do you think about the new Saints coaching staff? There’s a lot of new hires. It’s a entirely different look than the Dennis Allen, Pete Carmichael, and uh Joe Woods era or the Clint Kubak, Joe Woods, Dennis. Like, I mean, it’s just I’m Thank God we’re done with that. I’m so happy to have an offensive minded head coach. And I want to hear from you in the comments section. Saints fans, friendly reminder, if you haven’t already, we’re trying to smoke that Falcons pack tonight. So, 600 likes is the goal, but I know we can crush that number. Let’s bury the baby brothers in the NFC South. Like this video, and y’all stay golden. Have a wonderful weekend.

  2. Nussmeyers son is a great draft prospect to get next year if rattler and shough turn out to be duds wich i don't believe but I doubt Manning will be on the table next draft !

  3. Staley will make people remember what he did with the Rams defense. I just hope we get 3-4 years of his brilliance before he takes another HC job
