Why would the Lakers announce that Bronny is destined for the G-League this soon?
Because they want the Cavs to trade for him once Dad takes the buyout and signs in the Land.
It would be a way to mitigate some 2nd apron bs. Once Dad takes the buyout the Lakers would have room to take on Strus and Wade, or Strus and Merrill for Jr. and a pick, which would slide the Cavs under the 2nd apron.
Bronny scored 8pts in summer league. He was always going to be a G leaguer.
