  1. Sucks the game ended like that, but the guards were 2-16 with RISP. Inexcusable. Hard to be mad at Allard

  2. Having 6/9 batters hitting under .200 is beyond unacceptable. All these guys suck ass.

  3. I should be happy with a split. But I’m not. That was certainly a way to lose a baseball game.

  4. I was ready to come in here and bitch about Allard, but seeing the replay where he fell to his knees after missing the ball just made me feel really bad for him 😟

  5. I blame Zardo. He missed the hop at first that tied it and hit into the DP….

  6. I fucking despise the ghost runner. I’ve come to get used to the pitch clock, but the ghost runner is for beer league softball, when the umps make 30 bucks a game, and you need to get the next team on the field 2 hours after your game starts.

  7. This subreddit: We may never lose again!

Kyle Manzardo: I kinda want to lose though 🤭😈

  8. Really did not understand their approach at the plate in extras. Why not try a couple bunts, these dudes can’t hit anyway

  9. so if r/baseball taught me anything from the blue jays incident earlier this year, we’re now validated in drilling their best player in the wrist tomorrow, right? Only problem is the white sox don’t have a good player. do we just draw a name from a hat?

  10. Sucked that we lost but frankly I’ll take a split double header day that we mostly threw away to get out of the damn rain.

  11. Man if Jose didn’t get HBP I bet that would’ve ended a lot differently. Oh well. It was nice to win 4 games before this.

  12. I’m glad we got at least one win during a double header, but damn was that a brutal way to end it.

  13. Bullpen cooked, so the end result was not surprising. The number of pitchers that can’t field their position baffles me

  14. Tired of Manzardo. Doesn’t hit, trash defender and offers nothing on the basepaths

  15. As the clock strikes midnight the Guards turn into the Bad News Bears.

  16. The worst part is I watched my sons kid pitch team continuously make this exact mistake multiple times in every game they played this past spring/summer.

  17. I was still frustrated about the ball under glove play on Sunday, and now this. Frustrating.

  18. Well, one of those games where the sport of baseball humbles you a bit

  19. Man would have been great to get this one and they should have. Super disappointing. But when the next 2 and this is one great week of baseball for the Guardos.

  20. Both sides were rough for that second game, yeah we had some clutch hits but we left like 13 on base

  21. Repeat after me.

If they don’t care. Why should you.

Will Wilson is still on this team and Vogt refuses to pinch hit for him in crucial situations late in the game.

Manzardo is left in the game with a lead and Vogt takes no defensive precautions (just like with Bo vs Detroit) and it kills us.

We rely on Paul Sewald and his 4+ ERA in the 8th which inevitably screws us when we have piss missle throwing Nic Enright.

Which by the way, can’t wait to send his ass back to Columbus where he belongs. We don’t need you Nic when we already have Matt Festa…. (Probably actually Vogts thinking right now)

  22. Didn’t completely piss me off. But after watching that whole game I feel like I just read 1,151 of the 1,152 pages of “The Stand” only to have Stephen King then magically appear and, inexplicably, kick me in the nuts as hard as he can.

  23. – franchise player gets hit on wrist
    – swing at the immediate next pitch and hit into an inning ending double play

    👍👍👍👍

  24. in both extra innings bases loaded situations, the batter swung at one of the first two pitches despite the bases being loaded both times by walks/HBP and the pitcher pretty obviously having a hard time finding the zone. I don’t understand how this has been such a deeply ingrained thing into batters on our team that they refuse to just let the gassed pitcher continue to make mistakes.

  25. It’s hard not to be very disappointed in Kyle. He has been a pop up and strikeout machine for a while, and his defense is not good, which forces us to rely on Carlos, who is nearing the end of his career. He had more opportunities than anyone tonight to help us break it open.
