FANNATTICS SHOW LIVE! : Orlando Magic @ Sacramento Kings Summer League Reaction – 07/11/25

Welcome to the Fanatics Show Live where we talk about anything and everything Magic fan related, not affiliated on Quest to our team’s first ever NBA championship. And now to introduce your host of the stream from Orlando, Florida. Y’all know him best, Hollywood. Y already know what’s going on. It’s your man Hollywood just an Orlando Magic fan. Now ladies and gentlemen, we going to talk about something that might not be the best news. We going to talk about something that might not be the best of vibes. We going to talk about something that we just got to talk about. feel like Cody Rose. What do y’all want to talk about? Because I know what I want to talk about. Y know, y’all see the title of the video, man. First things first, welcome to the stream. Appreciate y’all for tuning in. You already know you see the clipboard. It’s your man, Hollywood, just an Orlando Magic fan. Let’s get it rolling and action, man. Oh man. Right behind me, right behind me, you’ll see what we reacting to today. And that is the Orlando Magic. Hey, Orlando. But we can’t sing it today because we lost. But but we’re reacting to your Orlando Magic and our game. So, let’s just dive into it. Y’all see the final score, which was 84 to 81. Now, don’t worry, ladies and gentlemen. If you’re new to the NBA, if you’re a new Magic fan, if you just don’t really know what’s going on, we’re playing a game. Did Paulo play? Did France play? This is summer league basketball for those who don’t know because I know some of my subscribers are from Japan, uh, Germany, Brazil, Peru, uh, like a whole bunch of different places. And y’all might not know either the rules or just might not know NBA in general to know summer league. It’s just basically a practice for our youngest players, our rookies, our second maybe even third year sometimes players to just get a little bit of a like so it’s really it’s really what it is a summer league where you can just showcase your talent and see what you have to tweak so on and so forth against other NBA talent. Everybody in this summer league is in the NBA technically. They’re on the summer league roster and you’re in the NBA. That’s the games that are on right now. And this is where we showcase people like Noah Penda and Jace Richardson for us who of course are our guys who we drafted this very year in the NBA draft. So Magic fans like myself was we were very excited. It was a time to be excited because we haven’t had Magic basketball since we got eliminated to the Celtics. Boo. But but but um we now have a new look, a new team, new jerseys. And I was just excited for the summer league jerseys, let alone the game itself. We started off in a little bit of a rut. It was 21 to 12. Kind of felt I tweeted it out. If y’all don’t follow me on Twitter, not to self-promo, but hey, got to do it sometimes. I’m telling you, follow me on Twitter. I try to live react as much as I can. And for example, if I’m stuck at work, I’ll just try to tweet as much as I can when I can. But 84 to 81, 21 to 12 in the first quarter. It really felt like last year’s uh Magic squad. We just couldn’t find the rim. Just couldn’t find good shots and make them, let alone. But to talk about the overall score, you see in the second quarter, we kind of tweaked it 21 to 21. And then in the third, we beat him by what? Uh four. And then in the fourth, we beat him by two. But it wasn’t enough. Even with a Jace Richardson buzzer beater three in the fourth quarter, we still lost by three points. And now Sacramento is one and zero and we are 0 and1 in this uh summer league that they got going on. Uh we have four games I believe. I forgot who the fourth team is, but I know the next game we got is uh on the 13th, which will be what day? I’ll figure it out right now. The 13th is going to be Sunday. So, it’s going to be Sunday night versus Toronto and we’re going to see our home jerseys. We saw the blue version of our summer league practice jerseys and it’s like the blue version in which we’re going to be rocking this season. But that next game against Toronto, we’re going to see new jerseys which would be the white jerseys which in my opinion are the best jerseys out of the like new between white and blue. And then my personal favorite is the black two-tone. I think that’s the best. But to talk about this game, we got 81 to 84. And the score doesn’t really show the vibe of how that first half and second half were. I truly feel like the first half was all Sacramento and it was just a very much lopsided game. And the four in the second half, I mean, excuse me, the third and fourth quarter, we it was a very much Orlando Magic basketball game. You know, we definitely got our rhythm and we were able to come back and just make it a 84 to 81 loss when it could have been worse. We were down double digits. Came all the way back. It was a pretty good game. I’m not going to lie to you. Two points for Kyler Kelly. And again, most of these guys are not going to be on the opening day roster on this team, but we still talk about him. It’s summer league. We love this squad. So, the guys who play for us, we got Kyler Kelly, number 61, 23 minutes, and he went one for four. isn’t the best. I see that plus minus being negative 12 is not the best stat line, but hey, one for four isn’t really that bad. Two points, I’ll take it. Noah Penda, which is of course between Penda, Richardson, and the Silva. Those are the people that at least Magic fans were more so just watching and more so just really looking forward to seeing how they played, which Noah Pendo went four for nine, 0 for three from three, which again like a Wendell Carter Jr. But we can’t go 0 for three. We got to at least make one of them. But four for nine on the field goal isn’t really that bad. Three defensive rebounds, which were the only boards he got. Four assists, two steals with a plus four plus or minus and giving us eight points. So he went eight three and four. Not too bad of a statline for your first NBA game, whether it’s the summer league or not. Tristan the Silva though, our guy who definitely has the experience of last year, had the experience of summer league last year and is now with the squad again. Really our only guy who’s from the team uh at least playing on that main roster last year that is on this team. But the man played 28 minutes, eight for 15 field goals, two for six in threes, one for two from the free throw line. He had, of course, an offensive board and six defensive boards leading to seven total, five assist, one block, three turnovers, which honestly they all had more than one turnover. You can’t It’s today’s NBA. Everything’s going fast. Everything is really just uh high, I guess, high intensity, right? So, you can’t really get too mad at the turnovers in terms of as long as they’re all under four. I’d say three, that’s good. At least in my personal opinion just with all I get we don’t want any turnovers but it’s impossible to as long as we could keep it in a low number it is what it is of course we would strive to have zero right Tristan the Silva though giving us 19 points in total so resulting in a 197 and5 game I think he definitely deserves the first boom of the 2025 2026 season which comes in 3 2 1 and now Tristan in the silver 1975. Shout out to Tristan. Now, Jace Richardson, I’m not going to hold you. First rookie this year to get it. Get the triple boom. Five for eight from field goal, two for three from the three-point line, two for two in the free throws, one defensive board, which was the only one that he had, one assist, one steal, one turnover. I’m telling you right now, Jace Richardson, it was a great game. 141 and one in your first ever NBA game isn’t that bad. Ganga Ethan Thompson, four for 10, three for six from three, and five for five from the free throw line, which at the end of the day, he is one of those players who I was seeing the tweets. They were saying, “We got to sign this kid. We got to do something about this kid.” I’m not going to hold you. 16 points, one assist. Hey man, that’s a decent game. Alandis Williams, zero points, but one board, one assist. Got him on the stat sheet. Wendell Moore Jr. two uh four and zero. We got Scal Labier, hopefully I’m saying that right, with five boards, four defensive, one offensive, 14 points, which my boy was cooking. And for being on a bench, I say c hooking. We got Scout finishing with 145 and one. Shout out to Scout. Another guy getting those types of um tweets out there. I was seeing number 64, number 64, which that’s what’s the cool thing about summer league. It’s these guys proving that they belong in the NBA and belong on at least a bench spot in the actual games in the actual regular season. And a lot of them, if not some of them, get signed. And I’m telling you, it’s just a cool experience to see these guys be able to live out their dreams, work hard, and show that it doesn’t matter if you get drafted or not, you got a chance. If you’re playing in the summer league, you already are in a step that so many people dream of. Now, Nate Santos, zero points. Uh, we got four. Sorry, this is so hard to read. And this is my first time. I’m going to try to use ESPN cuz I kind of like how they have all the stats, but I’m used to um Bing or like just a Google search. But if you see me, we’re in the summer league, man. We doing the same thing that the NBA is doing, that these Magic players are doing. We testing out everything that we’re going to use for this next season. And the same thing you see now, we diving into players and stuff like that. It’s the first game we got to. But for the summer league, we might keep the player um analysis short unless, for example, like Scout, we can’t forget about him and Ethan. They went crazy and nobody know nobody knew who they were before that game in terms of unless you really really really are an NBA fan. So, it’s just cool things to see and we got to talk about them. But on this channel, we always talk about our opponents as well. With Jones with 17, Carter with eight, Clifford with 17, Rayard with 16, uh Jones with 11. Them boys was cooking. I’mma give you that. Them boys was cooking. They was doing their thing. And I’m not going to hold you, it was just a battle, especially in the beginning. It was a very good game to watch and they benched all right, too. Good game for Sacramento. It was a GG. How the kids be saying, right? It definitely was a GG because at the end of the day, we had a shot. We just It really reminded me of Magic Basketball that we all know and love. We could have won the game if we ain’t have such a bad first half, such a bad first quarter. That was our peak. That was like so so many of the games we lost last year was because of that. We started off terrible. We started off that first quarter horrendous and then the second quarter followed so on and so forth, but we would always come back but just couldn’t get over that hump because we dug ourselves in the whole first quarter which it was just funny enough to see with this team. But it’s game one of the summer league. This doesn’t really it’s not a live or die situation. So, we’re going to be all right. I’m telling you though, 8481. Next game we got is against Toronto where we’re going to see our white jerseys, our home jerseys, which for those who don’t know, last year our white jerseys weren’t really our favorite just because honestly it was just kind of bad luck wearing the white, you know, we just would always have not our best games wearing the white jerseys. But these new white ones are a fan favorite. A lot of people like that one over out of the three, the white, the blue, and the two-tone. Everyone’s enjoying the white. I personally like the two-tone just this much more than the white, but the white is a phenomenal jersey and truly one of the best in the NBA. Man, Magic fans, we were able to finally see some Orlando Magic basketball. Whether it was I loved seeing the rebrand on the scoreboard. I think that was just the logo itself. It’s such an amazing touch. And sometimes I tweeted this out today. Make sure y’all follow uh self-promos. We don’t do self-promos, but hey, got to do it sometimes. You know, it’s the summer time. We just having fun. 8481. It felt good seeing the rebrand and sometimes I catch myself, which I did tweet out this morning. Um, you just got to pinch yourself sometimes cuz we’ve talked about a rebrand for so long. People have mentioned how so on and so forth. It looked like this, it looked like that, and the ball looks like how it was back in the day, which is kind of crazy to me how like this isn’t a classic look. This is like it’s gonna take a little bit to get used to because like see this one right here. Shout out Duven for these hats, man. I don’t I hope one day out of all the endorsement deals that I have, I could get a Duven. I could get a Duven deal because this one it took me so long to get just to round up the money to really buy this hat because I don’t pay nothing full price and Duven never goes on sale because they’re so rare and they so like it’s worth it. It’s worth paying full price for a Duven hat. Genuinely, this one it fits number one which is great. I I have a huge hat. I’mma say I’mma tell you that right now, man. So, these like snapbacks, man, it be kind of tough, but this one, I love it. And it’s honestly probably my favorite hat that I have of the Magic. And it’s just it has Orlando on it. They make very good hats, very good quality. And it’s crazy to me seeing these like the rebrand process in general and seeing that this is our like real logo and how we like emulated this one, right? But it’s it’s its own vibe. It’s that own modernization that we truly I guess we’re striving as a franchise and we got it. I think we hit it out the park. 8481 final score. Wasn’t the score that we wanted, but you know what? There’s always a next game and it’s only the summer league. So, it’s just fun seeing somebody like a Jace Richardson go off for 14-1 and one in and also have a steal in a summer league game. His first summer league game. Noah Penda having a big body panda. I used to be dusty and like he had one of those like moves where he just bulldozed this guy basically. Guy fell on the floor and he made the layup. It was an insane move. It went crazy on Twitter. And I’m telling you right now, man, we got we got something cooking. We got something cooking. I’m telling you right now, man, this Magic team has just the potential of the world. We were down by like 10 points. If that was our real squad last year, we wasn’t winning that game unless it was like against a team that’s on our level. But we are at the point now where like even teams that are better than us, which are very few, but there could be some out there, injuries, so on and so forth, everything has to play a part. But we are that team that’s coming. We are that team that no matter who’s in front of us. I’m telling you right now, it seems like it’s going to be the magic every time. Like I can’t I know I was biased last year saying that, but this year it really seems that we got something cooking, bro. We got something cooking. And a lot of people were saying no appenda four four for nine so on and so forth he don’t got a bag whatever is game one ain’t even the regular season and it’s only the summer league and I just feel like they were showing and just the same thing we could say about Jace Richardson 14 points like you can’t be like oh whoa he’s going to be so good like it was just one game it was a summer league and it was against the Sacramento Kings I get you but we look at it both sides we look at it both sides can they improve sure but they are going great. They’re doing what they’re supposed to do. They’re rookies who aren’t scared of the moment and have spurts throughout that one game. And we’re just speaking on one game, have moments in that spurt, like spurts through the game where they could show their potential, and they did, and they excelled at it. So, to me, it was a a successful game for both of them, to be honest. For Jace and for Noah Penda, man. Let’s check out the chat before we get out of here. Shout out my guy Jay Curve, man. If y’all know another Magic Minute, definitely check them out. The YouTube podcast coming out very soon. Stay tuned to that cuz you know I will be stay tuned to that and we going to be clocked in with them long way. Bro, y’all already know, man. Jay Curve in the chat. Shout out to my boy Jace was a hustler, man. I’m not going to hold you. He showed that. I’m telling you, he showed the he wants it type of attitude type of game style like style of play. And I enjoyed that to see him truly just taking shots. He’s open. All right, bet. It’s my Let it What Chris Smooth say? Let it fly. Like that’s seeing a rookie do that. Even if it’s the summer league, it shows you promise. That’s something that I really liked about Coanthony. I’m going to talk about Coanthony a lot this year. One of my favorite Magic players. I will always mention Coanthony. But something that I really liked about him on our squad, he’ll let it fly. He don’t care how many shots he’s made, he’s gonna let that mother fly. And I’m telling you, that’s what I kind of saw with Jace Richardson. Jace Richardson was hustling. Jace Richardson was finding the shot. If he ain’t had a shot, passed it up. That’s something that to see in a rookie, it just feels great. It just feels great. Even if it’s the summer league, even if it’s game one, even though we lost, it’s just good to see that. And that’s what the summer league is for. for those who never watched the summer league, for those who’ve never seen what this type of environment is, so on and so forth. It’s in Las Vegas, used to be in Orlando, but just hugged in Las Vegas. And it’s just the rookies showing that they got what it takes to truly make that squad and be on an opening day roster. Man, Jace Richardson, the day he makes, and for those who don’t know, he made a buzzer bean in the fourth quarter. If you search up this game, 32, one, splash. Oh my god, it was so clean. I get it. We lost by three, but I cannot wait for that to be a gamewinner. Noah will be a problem after working with Paulo and Wendell. I’m telling you, Noah got the potential. We say that about every rookie, of course, but look at the rookies we’ve had in the past couple years. They’ve been pretty good and they’ve been able to develop. Noah with Paulo, let alone with Wendell. Look, Wendell is not a bad center and it seems like he’s going to be our center for opening day. That’s fine by me. I don’t have a problem with that. Do I critique Wendell? Of course. But it’s just because I know he has the potential to be great. Seeing somebody like Noah Penda, who is also a big body, I feel like it’s going to put Wendell in check. It’s going to put Wendell to play better. It’s going to put Wendell to focus more on the type of game in which he should play. Use the body. Grab the board. Use the body. Box out. Use the body. Easy lay. We don’t need no three-pointers. We don’t need none of that. We got shooters on this team for a reason. We traded our future. And what I said on Twitter for a Desmond Bane, we don’t need your big ass to be shooting three-pointers. That goes for Penda. That goes for Goa. That goes for Wendell. Any of our centers, bro. They have to play Dwight Howard basketball level. I’m not comparing, but just saying of Dwight was never shooting no damn threes. Dwight was in the paint doing his job boxing out and just giving us the opportunity to get offensive boards, let alone just being a threat in the paint to keep defenders there. It’s going to open up the space for Paulo. It’s going to open up the space for Fron. Sure, we might not be able to cut and slash every damn time, which is what we love to do, but we have shooters now and we have to improve. Do y’all not know we got God Sham God for a reason? He’s going to be the guy who’s going to help us get to that next spot, especially with the shots. I’m telling you. And when I let it fly, oh man, what a what a memory. Shout out Chris Move, man. Chris Moves is gonna be a hood legend forever. That man who especially for our generation. What? Man, splash. What a legend. 8184. Y’all already know the Orlando Magic unfortunately took a loss, but hey, it was game one and we came all the way back, so it’s credit in which we get. Y’all already know. Hope y’all have a great day, man. Positive mindset of the day. Remember, you can train all summer and still lose the game. It’s what you do after and how you get better so that you don’t lose again which is what makes you great. Y’all already know it’s your man Hollywood just an Orlando Magic fan. Make sure to subscribe for more Magic content. Pregame for the Toronto Raptors will be what? Sunday. So stay tuned for that video. Summer League baby. We only got a couple games so we got to enjoy them. Y’all already know. Appreciate everybody for tuning in. Shout out another Magic Minute. Always showing love. Y already know. And that’s a wrap. Play the song, baby. Hollywood and it’s evident. I am just a magic fan. Old town I’mma represent. Taking charge. Go commando. Now we living in Miami, but you know I rep Orlando Oakidge. Yeah, it lives in me. Walking down the road, passing by OBT. 407 every day. It stay on repeat. Blue in my blood. Ain’t no stopping me.
