New York Mets vs Kansas City Royals – FULL GAME HIGHLIGHTS | July 11, 2025 MLB Season

Here’s pitch number six from Waka. Ground ball to the right side. Vinnie Pascantino with one hand. Steps on first for the first out of the night. A lot of speed off of it just off the end of the bat right back to Waka. Little bit of a wild throw, but there are two away. Lonzo next man up swings first pitch and skies it into right field. Jack Kagleion. A step in front of the warning track. One hand grab and that retires the side. and he smacks one that’ll go down into the left field corner. That’s going to be extra bases. India gets held up at third. Bobby Wit Jr. double number 32. And right off the bat, the Royals with two in scoring position. It’s hit the fast ball so you don’t see the fork. Two fast balls have been put in play. A single and double by India and Whit Jr. respectively. And Kansas City’s in business. This is a good stop by Vance Wilson. Nobody out. Be conservative. Holds up India at third base. The two- two and he gets him swinging with that ghost fork as he finds the range. Big strike out by Sanga. And there’s one down. Well, Garcia right back to Sanga who nabs it out of the air. Tries to go for two. It gets past Mauricio, but India is hurt and he is staying on the bag. Otherwise, he would have scored. Looks like he stepped right on his hand. See, you go back to dive in. That puts your hand right where the spike comes in. You see it? Yep. Stepped right on his hand. Yep. Cuz the player is trying to block the bag, even though they’re not supposed to. At the same time, they get hit by the ball, too. Double. See if he goes fork here. He does. And he gets the strike out and gets out of the jam. What a job by Kota Sanga in his first inning back off the IIL. We had to learn what was good. You know what a good batting average is as McNeel takes strike three called and doesn’t agree with the call. You love go defensive player often with a high pop going back as McNeel calling off Sodto and McNeel makes the first two plays in this inning. Two down. Hot shot right to Mauricio. Nifty backhand grab. The strong throw. Nice play by Ronnie Moraicio against Baltimore. Squares to Bunt. That’s a beauty of a bunt. Torren’s in easily at second and Taylor almost beats out the throw at first, but two on, one out. Here’s the payoff and that one is smacked into left field. That’s a base hit. They hold Tor up at third as John Rae gets there quickly. Sixth pitch of the atbat. Bases loaded, one out. And he got him swinging the change up. Two away. And he walked him. And you see Pete Alonzo pumping his fist. It might look down from the bench. So miss strike three. And Bentos’s frustration comes out in the form of a broken bat. One- nothing Mets. Off the end of the bat. One hand by Lindor. scoops, fires for the first out of the inning. And Ron, you said it. Ground ball that sneaks through the infield and Paspantino on first base runner of the third for the Royals. Garcia tops one over to the left side. Going to second to get the lead runner is Mauricio. That one lashed into right field for a base hit. Garcia going first to third. Those wheels are something else. He’s in there easily. He tried to hold up. He did not. Four straight fork balls to strike out Kagleion. And then the threat was he made everybody the that he interviewed as Torren Skies went to right field to the third out. Everybody he interviewed say something negative about to hear what the Mets will do. And that one, another opportunity for Mauricio on the backhand. Gets it. the tag from Pete Alonzo and a quick one two and Sodto can’t hold up on the 97 mph heat. Here’s the payoff in there. Called strike three. A fast ball right over the heart of the plate. Clearly ground ball picked nicely by Garcia. Strong throw over and the Mets once again go down one, two, three here in the sixth. Off the end of the bat into left field. Coming on as NMO dives and he can’t make the catch and it goes behind him. Salvador Perez round second. He’s being waved around third. Here comes the relay throw. No relay as McNeel can’t pick up the ball and Perez crosses home plate. Ties up the game. A Nick Loftton double. Here’s the payoff. Swung on a miss. Strike three. He got him with the splitter, but not before the Royals tie the game. It’s 1-1 as we head to the seven. Tried to hold up. He did not. Wow. McNeel not a fan of that call from the crew chief, Alan Porter. Just 20 stolen bases this season. Off the hands into right field. Kaggleon is there and that’ll do it. So, one on, one out. Bobby Wit Jr. into left field, going back, looking up, and it’s gone. A two-run home run for Bobby Wit Jr. And the Royals take their first lead of the night. It’s 3-1. Second inning with a two-run home run. And now Pasantino deposits one into right field. That’ll be extra bases off the wall. Fielded by Sodto. Strong throw, but Pascantino slides into second. Topped off the end of the bat in front of Sanger. He gets the out at first as Pascantino motors into third. If he gets a ground ball, fly ball into left field. Coming on is NMO right at the line. Makes the catch to end the inning. And there’s another ground ball to the right side, but this one sneaks through just uh evading the outstretch arms of Nick Loftton. Looking to get it done again. And Lindor walked on four straight pitches. So the Mets now have the tying runs on base. And he walked them. Went with the fast ball. And now the Mets have loaded the bases. The O2 swung on a miss. Strike three. Got him with the high heat. And there’s one down. Well, we’ve had two hitters for the Mets now break their bat at the plate after striking out with the bases loaded. So the frustration certainly boiling over on Bentos into the right center field. Get that’s down. That’ll be extra bases and that’ll tie the game and maybe more being waved around third is Sodto. Here comes the relay. The throw not in time. Sodto with the go ahead run and the Mets take a four to three lead off a bases clearing double. Swung on a miss. Strike three and that’ll retire the side. But Mark Ventos with the bases clearing double grounds one to the right side. Easy hop for Alonzo who makes the overhand toss for the first out of the inning. I will say from my own experience. Nick Loftton locks one into left field for the second out of the inning. Yeah. So on a miss strike three. So Reed Garrett with a one, two, three shut down inning. We’re heading to the ninth with the Mets up one. And Taylor ropes one into left field. That’ll be down for a base hit. And that goes to the wall. Taylor rounds first. He’s heading into second. He’ll go standing with a double and NMO works a walk. So Brandon NMO on for the third time today. Two on, nobody out. On base twice today and he’s swinging first pitch, skies this one into deep right center field. Going back is Tolbert and it’s gone. A home run by Francisco Lindor. And the Mets have broken this thing open. 19th home run of the season. A three-run shot. And it’s 73 New York. Keeps drifting and the and the ball just kept traveling. Speaking of balls traveling, out to left center field and Sodo goes opposite field. Backto back home runs from Lindor. and Sodto 22nd home run for number 22. And the Mets having a field day here in the eighth and ninth innings. And Alonzo goes down swinging for the first out of the can take a lot of pressure off a guy as Akuna with the comebacker. And there is a double play to end the inning. Seven. And right back to Densky who takes his time and ends the ball game. The Mets come from behind for the sixth time this season that they win a game. trailing after seven innings.
