Arizona Diamondbacks vs Los Angeles Angels (7-11-25) MLB Game Predictions, Picks and Best Bets

[Music] We got 929 930. We got Ryan Nelson. Not the cool kind of Ryan, but the R Y Ne Nelson and the Diamondbacks at -15. Tyler Anderson and the Angels at plus 105. Total of 9 and a half with some juice to the under at minus 125. All right, Kenny, what do we think on this one here? Am I It was Was it last year that Tyler Anderson was the American League starter in the All-Star game or was it He certainly was. I mean, I I don’t understand that. So, we’ve got former All-Star game starter coming full circle taking on Nelson the Diamondbacks. What do you think of this one, Kenny? Uh Ryan Nelson’s been kind of like lowkey shoving might might be a bit of a stretch here, but like he had he had one awful start uh in Cincinnati, which again, you know, small small park. you you know, weather’s usually really good this time of year. Red’s bats are are volatile. You catch them on the wrong day. But since that really bad start against the Reds, six innings, no earn runs against the Padres’s, 5.2, one earn run against the Blue Jays, five innings, one earn run against the White Socks, 6.2, two earn run against the Giants, seven innings, one earn run against Kansas City. I mean, the dude in his last five starts has been really, really, really, really good. So, uh, immediately I would I would have to back, uh, have to back something with with the Dbacks here. Minus 120 really doesn’t sound all that bad. And I know that Bet US you typically get like the really good pitcher strikeout uh, parlayed with with the team money line. So, like like a Nelson 5K’s Dbacks money line, I think you could probably talk me into here, but this would be Dbacks or nothing for me. Yeah, I completely agree. What do you think here, BDub? Any reason? I mean, the Diamondbacks match left-handed pitching. Now you’re bringing out allstar starter. You’re bringing out a stud here in Tyler Anderson. Of course I say that tongue and cheek. What do you think on this one here? Dbacks. I’m guessing you’re going Angels because of your outfit today, right? You would never you’re not going to dress up for the team. You know what? I think I have an Angels base winner one too. So maybe I’ll wear that like reverse jinx it. someone I I have that somewhere around because, you know, I grew up as a as a huge Angels fan and I I like the coverage that that the Angels and the Dodgers both get and I’ll shout out if you ever want to read a good uh publication that has great baseball coverage. Orange County Register is really good. It’s a to cancel. So, just buy it for a year because you can’t cancel. They You ever try to cancel something, Kyle, and you they they send you to one call center just I just want to cancel my stuff. And well, how about this? We got a new offer for No, I just I just want to cancel my stuff. Oh, hold on. I got to send you to the ne next level. And you’re just like, So, that was that was the one thing. So, if you get the I I recommend it, but you can’t cancel it. So, just buy it uh for as long as as long as you can. I don’t know if any of the guys listening have ever experienced that. This is like you got to you got to call. So, usually you can nowadays you can go online and you can cancel, you know, hey, go into your dashboard, you cancel your right? But there’s all the there’s some that you just can’t do that on. So then that’s just I mean oh sorry I’m digressing here. It’s true. You’re right. You’re 100% right. So So Anderson like yeah it’s peculiar this guy was an all-star and you look at his numbers they’re lousy. 25 uh 5th uh location plus percentile pitching plus 14th percentile. Uh he does suppress hard contact. Uh and I but I just think that that’s some that’s a little bit of magic there. So so he does have that going for him. Nelson’s tough for me to analyze. Oh, so first of all, on the good side, 86th percentile, if you look at the way that I rate pitchers, he’s actually a 77 last 17 median uh base winner erra. But there’s a difference between his average and his median, which really concerns me. And I don’t do this a lot, but I regress this guy back to a league average of 100. So, he’s a 77. Actually, in the model, I have him as an 85. And even doing that, uh, the Dbacks should be should be about minus 159 here. So, I think you’re getting pretty good value. I also think there’s going to be a lot of runs here. Uh, you know, on the show, maybe maybe it was Tuesday when we did the the the Angels uh uh Giants parlay. I said, “This team, this team is is smoking mirrors at 500, this Angels team, and let’s bet against them.” And and I that’s really worked out good for me. Uh but the other thing too is these games are going over. So I wouldn’t be opposed if somebody goes, you know, Dbacks over parlay. That’s a good idea. But for me, and you’re looking at the components, the Dbacks, uh it’s their weaker set versus left-handed pitching fourth in baseball, 21st in baseball, uh for the Angels. The Dbacks bullpen. Again, I talked about this yesterday. They’ve they’ve kind of climbed from 23rd to 18th. They lost their best two pieces, but they’ve actually kind of made some progress over the last month. 18th bullpen versus Angels 26th bullpen. Anyway, second leg of the base winner parlay. Uh, Detroit, Arizona, full game. Risk one to win 1.5, Kyle. Oh, you are going to love this. I got risk one to win 1.7, brother. So, for purposes of the show, hey, it’s usually the other way. You’re usually getting raw dog the other way. So, we got for purposes of the show, we are locking in the second leg of the base winner parley. We’ve got the Tigers on the money line, Diamondbacks on the money line, and that is at plus 170. [Music] [Music]
