I had the privilege to meet the greatest Seahawk of all time today.

  1. People will always debate “greatest” levels because they are subjective but Largent, put Seattle on the map back in the ‘80’s. Some of those years were good, some abysmal but he always had the respect of the national media and fans. Mattered a lot.

  2. I grew up loving this dude, but his life outside of football has really soured my opinion of him. For instance he is very anti-lgbtq, and finds them, quote, “repugnant”. And he tried to pass bills to have their rights stripped. Believe what you want, that’s fine, but he actively tried to ruin peoples lives, that’s when I stopped being a fan of his.

  3. I notice that I don’t really see Steve Largent in any modern Seahawks media whereas you see Hasselback, Jim Zorn ect. in a lot things, especially with the 50 greatest players going on. Any idea why that is?

  4. How did you find out about this event? I have a largest jersey I got 10 years ago and I’d love to get it signed

  5. Marshawn Lynch looks different now.

/S Marshawn is up there but definitely the most entertaining Seahawk of all time.

  6. Omg I think if I did that! I would say God could take me now! I have a Seahawks card with Largent on and the date on the card is 1983! I still have it! I also have over 300 of his cards and 6 auto cards and the front and back of a folder covered! The cover is his wheaties box cover!

  7. Dan Maguire?…

Oh, yeah ok I guess the guy in the picture was pretty good too

  8. I had the pleasure of meeting him one time. A very smart, humble man. I completely agree he is the greatest Hawk of all time.

  9. Steve Largent is the yardstick by which all other Seahawk receivers are measured. Got to see him play and it was amazing.

  10. When I was kid I belonged to Seahawkers UK a British Seahawks booster club and in 86 we voted Steve Largent our player of the year went and our club chairman went over to Seattle to present the great man our award in person. In our bimonthly newsletter he spoke about how gracious Largent was and how pleased he was to receive our award. I imagine our club chairman had the same expression and of privilege you had on your face our greatest. Go Hawks
