The Sabres not having had a 50-goal scorer in 30 years but having had TWO that season is absolutely wild.
Great chart on this stat
I was going to say it’s surprising the Devils haven’t had a 50 goal scorer then remembered they were mostly garbage then had Brodeur and stingy defence carry them for the franchises existence.
As a canes fan, I am not surprised 😭. One day. One day.
Love seeing #HeatleyIn07 getting the representation here
EDIT: wow it’s been a long time, realised I had it wrong. The correct hashtag was #50in07
Heatley clappin bombs.
The Habs not having a 50 goal scorer since 89-90 is wild.
TIL Ray Sheppard scored 52 in 93-94 for Detroit. (Fedorov had 56).
Honestly shocked Kane never hit 50 at least once in Chicago.
Didn’t expect the Devils not to have one.
Still bothers me that the NHL isn’t counting Utah and Arizona as the same (while we have Winnipeg Kovalchuk)
What the?
KK97 coulda been our first last year if it wasn’t for his injury.
Stephane Richer, blast from the past.
I’m almost 50 and followed hockey all my life and I still don’t know who Blaine Stoughton is
Turgeon was traded for LaFontaine and they both scored 50.
Iggy!
What was in the water in 1992/93??
Wow, Blaine Stoughton! There’s a blast from the past.
I never realized how many teams have never had a 50 goal scorer. Also, how long it’s been since some teams have had one.
Who else didn’t know about Blaine Stoughton?
Another common W for CP.
Edit: CP stands for Corey Perry in this situation.
Wild ride for Cheechoo.
Johnathan Cheechoo amazes me. He went from elite to minor league in record time. How did he just forget how to score goals?
Damn Federov, for Detroit.
😔
Scorey Perry… *cries in duck sounds*.
Vegas with zero and a Stanley Cup is impressive.
Man, that magical season Cheechoo had. The man that put Moose Factory on the map.
Really puts into perspective how difficult having 50 goal season is.
Kovalchuk never played for jets, wtf.
92-93 season…the year they were giving away goals.
Jersey not having one is both surprising and not surprising
