Kyrie: “Cuz that question was crazy. When somebody asked me if LeBron was like a father figure to me, bro, that was crazy. No kizzy. That was a crazy ass question. He’s like a few years older than me.”

  1. He could be like a big brother or role model but father figure is insane. That question really ruined a legendary duo man lol.

  2. That question is like 90% of the reason he left. If the media around Bron wasn’t insane, there’s a good chance him and Kyrie get at least another ring in Cleveland

  3. Don’t blame him for being hung up on it. It’s my go to when the topic of sports questions comes up because it was so lame. Can’t imagine being the target of it

  4. Honestly I’d still be mad about that shit too lmfao sports media is a cancer

  5. The way the media treated Kyrie when he was on the Cavs was disgusting. Nobody cared about the team in his early career and then LeBron comes and now he’s seen as a little son or smth, extremely disrespectful.

  6. For people who don’t understand why Kyrie would be upset about that question, think about if someone asked if your co-worker seven years older than you was like a father figure. That’s how fucking stupid the question was.

  7. That question was absolutely insane. But for him to STILL be thinking about it is even crazier. Ky be too in his head. That’s the reason he doesn’t have a hand full of rings. He let the media dictate his decision making.

  8. Wonder if that reporter knows the domino effect that one question caused lmao

  9. Lol kyries ego is STILL shook from that question. Don’t cross kyrie, he never let’s shit go lmao.

  10. This Mike Tyson quote will never fade away

“Social media made y’all way too comfortable with disrespecting people and not getting punched in the face for it.”

  11. That was the craziest thing anyone could have said to him in that moment. Like a dad to me???

  12. Kyrie gets hung up on the stupidest stuff. Who cares if Kyrie sees LBJ as a role model. Plenty of fathers are crap and still in their kids lives. So it’s a fair question since James was a big influencer back then.

Kyrie essentially shot his future rings in the as* because he got in his feelings about playing next to a GOAT. Had he been mature, we would be sitting here talking about who was better Kyrie or Kobe because Kyrie would have gotten enough rings to force people to consider the conversation.

  13. LeBron had 3 kids already by that time. Kind of disrespectful to them as well.

  14. Media is going to be media

That original question was supposed to illicit a reaction from Kyrie, which he is still giving to this day. Its almost as if that reporter is sitting somewhere taking credit for breaking up one of the most lethal duos in NBA history lol

  15. That reporter really made Kyrie change his entire career trajectory without even trying

  16. LeBron and Kyrie are literally the exact same ages as me and my older brother. That was such a WILD question lmao

  17. That clip always makes me laugh. At first Kyrie understood correctly, and then the reporter made it seem like she was asking about Bron as a father (not as a father figure to the team/ Kyrie), so Kyrie gets ready to readjust and then she says the parental role to him and the team. His disbelief at the moment is hilarious. Lol.

  18. It really was an insane question when i’m sure that Lebron doesn’t even feel like a father figure to his former teammates lol
