BREAKING NEWS: Cleveland Browns Rookie Player Arrested

Well, my Saturday night was going pretty well up until I saw Quinn Sean Judkins, the Browns rookie running back, got arrested in Florida. So, let’s run through the facts that we know right now, which is very early, very preliminary, and then we’ll start to give opinions. But here are the facts. the Browns 36 overall draft pick back in April. By the way, the only Browns rookie who has not signed his rookie contract yet, which we’ll talk about why because there’s a fairish reason later on in the video. The only one unsigned, so that could be a factor when this all plays out. The Browns haven’t actually signed him yet. Um, he was arrested in Fort Lauderdale on an assault charge, so not good. I think we can all agree that not a good start to this entire video here. I’m always in the belief of innocent until proven guilty. And I don’t want to rush to judgment by just going off, you know, an arrest record right now. There could be more to the story, but suffice to say, not off to an ideal start. So, that’s what we have right now. It was in Fort Lauderdale. Um, the Browns rookies are going to be reporting for training camp. not very far from now. I mean, NFL training camps for rookies are going to get underway this upcoming week. So, we just a few days away from phone the first I think it’s the Chargers the first one to report uh first set of rookies to report to any NFL training camp. So, yeah, I’m guessing Judkins spending his last few days on summer break down in Southeast Florida and who knows what happened. I’m not here to offer up theories as to how that happened, but those are the facts we have right now. Obviously, it’s very preliminary, but that’s what we know at the moment. So, with that being said, now let’s talk about some opinions that everyone quickly has. First opinion is damn it. Like, come on, dude. Again, this is opinion time, right? And I don’t know if he’s innocent and if it’s a witch hunt against him. Who knows? But my opinion is, damn it. because I’m somewhat inclined to believe that there’s probably some truth to this and not ideal. That’s the first thought. Second thought I have. So like boy, you know, I don’t say shame on Judkins because again, innocent till proven guilty, but like not good optics to say the least. And I think it’s also because it keeps happening. And that’s the second part I have to this not to Judkins, but it keeps happening to the Browns. Last year, the Browns second round draft pick, Mike Hall. He was arrested and suspended for assault on his girlfriend, his fiance. I think it was fiance. Um, then the summer before that, Perion Winfrey like pulled a gun or was chasing down a girl in a hotel lobby in Cleveland and he got released after it was a tumultuous rookie season for him to begin with. And then I think it was the summer before that or the spring before that when one of the two Malikes that played defensive tackle, he was nude. He was naked at like a Chuck-e-Cheese. That wasn’t good. I’m going to put that under the not good column. So yeah, there’s And I haven’t even mentioned the big one, right? the D the D man Deshaawn Watson. So you put Sorry if you hear the movie in the background. My family’s still watching a movie. I didn’t make him pause it for me. Um Whiplash very good movie. Um so yeah, suffice to say not very good like in a very simplistic form, but deeper than that it’s a pattern. And it’s a pattern that should have stopped last year, right? Put Deshun Watson to the side because that was a known thing going on. The Browns in the draft keep overlooking potential character flaws. And in their defense for this one, I don’t think anyone knew that Judkins could be a bit of a maybe hothead to say. I don’t remember seeing negative things about his character when he was at Miss and then when he got to Columbus. Maybe I’m just dumb at the moment, but does anyone else remember that being a problem for like Mike Hall and Perry Winfrey? There were actual yellow flags in the pre-draft process of there are some character maturity concerns. And surprise surprise, people with character maturity concerns when they get a little bit of walking around money and they get to the NFL, maybe they lower their guard a little bit because they no longer have to get by like you do in school and play by the teachers rules. And once you’re professional, you feel like, okay, I’m no longer having to get in line like that. You know what I mean? But Judkins, on the other hand, I don’t remember seeing any concerns about his character. So, feel free to correct me if I’m forgetting an obvious example. But there is something deeper to be said here that Andrew Barry just doesn’t really know how to pick him. And it was frustrating with Hall because it’s not just like I think the old I think the real deeper issue I’m getting at here too is like it’s it’s frustrating when these players keep getting into legal problems because it’s a poor reflection on the on the team and and I don’t know if I’m just getting too deep here but it’s annoying when you tell people and they’re like, “Oh, who’s your team?” You like the Browns. And they’re like, “Oh, Deshun Watson.” and you’re like, “Well, yeah, that’s awkward now to bring up because that’s what you associate the Browns with is, oh, you’re the team that signed that guy or traded for that guy and they also drafted all those players who keep getting arrested for stuff.” So, it’s not a good look. And unfortunately, the fans are the ones that have to bear it whenever they mention their team to their friends and people or strangers that they meet and like that’s the first association they have with them. Um, so that’s kind of annoying and an unfair burden to place on the fan base. But here’s my deeper issue. It’s not even that Andrew Barry doesn’t even know how to pick him. Um because maybe there’s just no way of knowing that these could happen. The Browns just keep getting unlucky. You know what I mean? It’s that there doesn’t seem to be much leadership within this team. I think that’s the problem here is that no one no none of these young players seem to have I mean, think about it. Maybe when you were in high school or when you were in college or if you were in a fraternity, right? When you were fresh meat, when you’re at the bottom of the totem pole, you didn’t want to step out of line, right? You you wanted to, you know, go unnoticed. And year after year, there doesn’t seem to be this culture in place where Browns rookies are like, I’m not going to be the one that screws up, right? all the veterans, the senior leaders on this team, they made it crystal clear what it’s like to play in the NFL and what it’s like to be a Cleveland Brown. No, it kind of seems a little lz fair like, hey, enjoy your summer, you know, have fun. We’ll see you guys in August. Do whatever you want. That’s my problem right now. Now, like I mentioned earlier in the video, Judkins is the only unsigned rookie. And the reason why is there’s only two draft picks from round number two back in April that have signed their contract. And it is Jaden Higgins who was the 34th overall pick. So second in round two and Carson Swissinger who was the first second round draft pick. And the reason being is Higgins got a fully guaranteed contract from the Houston Texans. So then the Browns gave Swisser a fully guaranteed contract. By the way, it’s completely unprecedented. No team’s ever given a second round draft pick a fully guaranteed contract. Now, we did a previous video on a breakdown of that, but Judkins and every other second round pick from picks 35 to 64 are looking for fully guaranteed contracts. So, if this turns out to be a very serious legal issue, I don’t know exactly what the Browns are connected to for Judkins, but I guess they could theoretically just never sign him and he never gets a dime or so. Maybe a little bit of money, but nothing serious. and the Browns just wasted a, you know, early second round draft pick. So, that’s the news right now. Get back to your Saturday night Judkins post bail and don’t do stupid Did that sound fair enough to everyone? Can we agree on that little handshake in YouTube? Awesome.

  1. At some point, this stops being "breaking news" and just becomes "in today's news" cuz hey look, Browns player arrrested. What's that? Oranges are orange? Water is wet? When it rains, it pours? Who knew?

  2. Hopefully Quinshon uses this as a lesson to learn that successful people, like him, hanging out at random clubs isn't a smart decision. It's not the same as his local sports bar, where he knows everyone and they can make sure he gets home safe, due to having a personal relationship with him. He was outside of his element, in Florida, so he is a target because of who he is and the money strangers know is in his bank account.

  3. Law enforcement and the courts should handle criminal investigations.

The NFL should stay out of this. People wanting a big payday could get in players faces hoping they could trigger the young player to do something drastic and try and settle later.
