Philadelphia Phillies vs San Diego Padres – FULL GAME HIGHLIGHTS | July 13, 2025 MLB Season

Schwarber’s a guy who knows what to do with it. 3-2 pitch and that strike three gets him looking. Schwarber knew it. Takes with him. Teams pitching wise, you might you might run into a little bit of a slow start. Swinging a miss. Struck him out on a sweeper. Back-to-back Kes to start the day for Nick Pavetta [Applause] on the ground. A deep third. Backhanded by Machado. Slings it across and in. in and out of the glove of arise. There’s 146 against lefties. It’s a slow ground ball towards Machado. Charges in barehanded and off his hand. Probably the only chance he had. Kind of a do or die play. This is the 22nd pitch of this first inning now. And a ground ball right side. Ranging is a rise over as Paveta. Can’t catch it. Runner and it’s one to nothing Phillies. [Applause] Swinging a miss. He struck him out on the sweeper to end the inning. Phillies do get a run. Take a one- nothing lead to the bottom of the first. [Applause] Takes it the other way into right field for a base hit. Castanos over to it quickly and lead off single starts the bottom of the first inning. August home stand of the year for the Padres’s. And Fernando now has 11 hits on it. Here’s a bunt and towards third base. Take a look over there, but ends up going to first. Sacrifice is complete as runner goes in Fernando. And that is ball four. Now it’s actually wet. Um this is a high-fly ball to right field. Fernando moving back has plenty of room and makes the catch for the first out. Brandon Marsh is out and so is his wet hair. Swinging a miss and he struck him out. Fourth K for Pava. Two down. That was interesting there. Pavetta just DH in all the games that he’s been in. Swinging a miss and he strikes out on that lethal change up. Yes. Lined caught right at Trey Turner on the backhand for out number two. And that there was on the slider. King Felix in Seattle did it for a little while. That a straight three. Trey Turner doesn’t agree. That’s I think why you’re hearing some in Pittsburgh say, “You know what? We love him.” But maybe you change his entire organization if you trade him. Castanos flies out to left. It’s a seven pitch inning. Now you have the sandless beach towel. It’ll never happen. There’s a liner caught. Turner up into the air. robs a rise for the second out of the third inning. So he’s had a good trip when the Phillies have not. There’s a grounded to short this time. Bogart slides to his left and throws John Raludo. As long as you miss him, missing Darvish for as long as you’ve missed him. You haven’t had Musgrove all year. Pretty good through the right side into right field. A base hit in between a glacius and a rise. And Bryson Sto is aboard with one out here in the fourth inning. It’s off with that in mind. Yep. Start a stop. Didn’t go anywhere. And that is strike three. Gets kept looking. Six and a stop at that lead. There he goes. Pitches a strike. Throw will be late. Stolen base. Nice start into scoring position with two down. Got a great jump there. And that’s where he’s been here in today’s game. Little check swing dribbler towards first. Harper flips barehanded dropped. Sanchez was late in getting over and then he drops it with a bare hand [Applause] jumping on the first pitch. It was a slider, not a change up and Marsh is there again. Bogarts goes a pitches in the dirt and low. The throw will be late. Another stolen base for Bogarts. His second of the game in the scoring position with two down. reaches out with the supply fly ball to shallow right has Fernando coming in and under to make the catch for out number one in the fifth inning. Breaking well for him here today too on the ground down to first. Arise has got it. He’s going to take it himself to the bag. Two down in the air to left center field. Truck pretty well. Merrill back onto the warning track now. Over comes Johnson. He makes the catch and ends the inning. Harper thought he got it. He did. This is back to the mound and Sanchez twirls and fires to retire Diaz. Line to left and a base hit for Fernando and that was on the change up. So what do you know it can be done? Swinging a miss and Pavetta gets him. Seventh strike out for Paveta. Two down. to center and Merrill started in but backs up has time to recover and makes the catch that’ll put an end to the top of the sixth inning. Phillies have a one- nothing lead the draft can be but they really hit the jackpot with both of those gentlemen. This is grounded back up the middle into center field. Good start to the bottom of the sixth inning. Manny Machado with a single ground ball to the left side into left field. A base hit for Bogard. It’s third time he’s been aboard. Second hit. First two have reached here in the sixth inning. Squaring drops the bunt down. It’s a good one. Sanchez will go to first and the sacrifice is complete on the ground off the glove of Scott in the center and from third comes Machado Bogurts and he’s stopped to third. This game is tied at one. Josea Glacius on the ground with shorts stop. Turner to second from one on to first for two. And the double play will end the inning. But Jos Glacius, it’s now five to 12 against Sanchez. And the Padres’s are now tied at one. Right side into right field. A base hit from Marsh. Breaks up a string of five in a row. Retired by Paveta. Swinging a miss. He struck him out. Got him on the sinker. Lori Hone getting it done as he strikes out Schwarter to end things. Swinging a miss. And he strikes out Diaz. Yep, it was the change up. And that’s six strikeouts now for Sanchez. There he goes. And the pitch is a ball. Throw down there in time. They get him. Pot stealing the ruling on the field to see if the Padres’s will challenge. wonky first inning on the defensive side. We’re having a different ball game. There’s a base hit into left field against the defense there. He’s thinking two. Throw to second base. Will be close, but he’s safe. A one out double for Bryce Harper. Swinging a miss. Got him to chase the slider. Huge strike out. It’s out number two of the eighth inning. Line towards left center field. Jackson Merland. The run is not going to get there. It’s a gaffer to the track in the wall. Bryce Harper coming around to score. It’s an RBI double for JT Raludo. And the Phillies take a 2-1 lead in the eighth inning. Lined and caught at first base by Harper for the first down in the bottom of the eighth. Took the loss a third of an inning giving up two runs to the Giants. Line to left and a big hit for Manny Machado. Second hit of the day for Manning. Typically sweeper heavy for Kirkering. And this will get away off the glove of Ramuto. Machado moves up into scoring position. Popped up into shallow left center. Brandon Marsh calling off camp and making the catch. No advance for the base runners. And that is out number two of the eighth inning. is single to center. Now he lifts the fly ball to left center. Left fielder Kemp and Marsh. It’ll be Marsh the center fielder who makes the catch. Padres’s will strand a pair in the eighth. We’re going to the ninth. Phillies holding on to a 2-1 lead. Blooped down the left field line. Machado into the slot. Machado makes the catch. Man oh man. Manny runs a long time. Slides some picks. Broke it back. Grounded to short and the throw is late. Squaring gets it down. Strong. He’s got one play. It’s at first and the sacrifice is complete. Great execution by Johnson. A rise towards left center field. That ball is going to be caught. Marsh gets over from left to left center and makes the grab that ends the ball [Applause]

  1. I've been watching you for a long time now, and every time you surprise me with your creativity. Thank you for your interesting content!🛰🏵⛄️

  2. the phillies offense is quite embarrassing but at least we have our starting pitching. good win to get before the break, getting swept would have been disgusting. and we're somehow still in 1st place in the east.

  3. Padres have half a line-up of quality hitters, and half a line-up approx .230 or much worse type hitters…another example of stealing defeat from the hands of a solid Padres pitching performance that should have been a victory.

  4. I feel bad for Pivetta. He pitched a valiant effort. 1 run in 6 innings will usually get you a win. But the guy is 9-2 which shows you that our hitting isn't a big of a problem as we need more consistent solid pitching from the full roster. With a pitcher like Pivetta, he's still 9-2 which shows you we can win with a good pitcher. Meanwhile an elite pitcher like Paul Skenes who has a horrible batting team is 4-8 with a 2.01 ERA. That's when you know your team needs help batting. Padres decent with batting but their pitching needs to match what Pivetta is outputting every opportunity he gets. Great effort, but today he needed some extra help with the bats, but their pitcher is also solid so you can see why the Padres struggled with him because he's one of the better pitchers on their team.
