Corey Brewer | Pelicans-Lakers Postgame Interview | 2025 NBA Summer League
just see I mean his efficiency wasn’t there but what how much do you like just the aggression from fears just getting downhill as much as he does I like the aggressiveness but you know we got to make some layups you know it’s young young guys you get to the rim know we got to work on but he has to look at film and make rim decisions you got to make you got to make it or you got to be able to kick it out which is something he’s going to learn you know rather do it now than later so it’s good that he’s getting there I love the aggressiveness and he’s going to get better keep getting better yeah back to back games where Misi and Queen both have double digit rebounds. How do you see just them progressing with that, you know, combo out there together? Um, they’re getting better. We just got to, you know, they just got to learn the spacing, but they got to keep playing together, keep rebounding. It’s going to help us when the season really starts. What do you need to see offensively to kind of really get going? I mean, I know you probably don’t like six assists, but to kind of get some things going on that side, uh, we got to we got to be more ball movement. You know, we’re running stuff, but everybody’s ice on. You know, it’s a little bit on me. I got to get guys, put them in situations to move the ball. We got to run more motion stuff. Hey, coach, what do you see out of Derek Queen and and what excites you about this guy? Um, Derek’s very skilled. You know, if you watch him play, some of the stuff he does, you know, you you get amazed and the passes he can make. So, you know, he’s only going to get better as a young guy. You know, he’s 20 years old. So, when you see stuff like that, you know, he’s only going to improve. What did you think of uh Antonio Reeves impact? Uh, Tom played good. You know, Tones, you know, he’s a good shot maker and he’s been playing great for us. You know, we just need him to keep doing what he’s doing. We need to find him more. Uh appears to show some resilience today um in his game. He wasn’t hitting no calls earlier, but he continue to press at it. What is this a conversation you have to have with him or is this something he has in the skills and ability to get? N he know he’s a resilient kid. You can tell, you know, he’s he’s tough on himself, but he believes in himself and he knows like today he’s getting where he wants to get to. Sometimes calls don’t go your way. You know, we didn’t calls ain’t going our way today. You know, we can’t complain about it. It’s it’s basketball. It’s going to be a lot of nights where you’re not getting calls and it is what it is. We got to make the play. Their skills that Green has, how do you think he and Zion compliment each other? Oh, I think they’ll compliment each other great. The way Zion gets downhill, the way he passes the ball, I think they’re gonna they’re gonna play good together.

C'mon Brew…no assists? Whose giving you info during the game.
Not enough passing and way too many mental mistakes. Reaves looks really good.
I think Corey is a good assisstant coach
Brewer is a great player development guy, doesn't always translate to X's and O's but it's summer league for coaches too
