Kelel Ware on Coach Spo calling out his professionalism “I took it as motivation. You know obviously he’s the coach and he has that trust in me and he wants to see me be the best that I can be so I took it as motivation”

  1. Holy shit these were EXCELLENT answers. Love that about Kelel. Most young guys would’ve folded at these questions.

Spo is not an idiot. He’s clearly testing him. Hopefully this brings the best out of him.

  2. Yeah I don’t have the same concerns with him that I did about Whiteside.

Not only is he giving the correct responses to all these questions, but dude clearly bulked up a lot over the offseason. He ended last season talking about prioritizing adding muscle, and then he went and achieved that. That’s not a sign of someone who doesn’t care about putting in the work.

He heard Spo’s comments, then immediately came out with a fire in the very next game when he could’ve folded. He still has a ways to go, but I’m not worried about him long term.

  3. It shows some level of maturity that he’s taking it this way. It’s easy for younger players especially to feel “attacked” when getting called out like this.

  4. A locked in Ware is a force on the court and elevates the Heat tremendously. Hoping he can carry this attitude for the season!

  5. Shout out to Ware and Herro. They heard Pat and Spo, two historical coaches, and took that as motivation. Jimmy chose to quit the team.

  6. Latest podcast of 5RS went on a 10 min rant about what Ware did wrong before even saying anything positive. Seems personal now

  7. Good shit from ware. Also rare Ira win where it’s a tough question that many of us die want to hear him asked about
