[MindTheGamePod] “There was nobody more inspiring to me than Michael Jordan… but I know I can’t pick him because I know how social media works. … I can see the headline already: ‘LeBron wants to play with Michael Jordan.'”

  1. It’s always fun to see someone poke fun at themselves and not take themselves too seriously.

  2. Literally all of social media has always said that Lebron is obsessed with Michael Jordan.

    There’s nothing new here.

  3. Remember in rocky balboa when they did that computer simulation of rocky vs the boxer in the movie……

  4. I never realized that Jordan and James were only a season apart from playing against each other. That would have been something.

  5. He’s showing more of his emotion now, I feel like he’s retiring soon. I will appreciate his greatness while he’s still playing

  6. Penny Hardaway was money on NBA Live 95. That whole Magic team was OP with Shaq, Grant and Anderson.

  7. This comment section just shows people can and will hate on anything LeBron says lmao

  8. Penny Hardaway is a great shout-out. Grant Hill we all know he was LeBron before LeBron. But many younger fans really don’t know Penny. He was about to be one of the absolute greatest point guards ever.

Shaq said Penny could be just as great as Kobe and Wade. Jordan said Penny could be the next Jordan. Those were some highest praises ever gonna come out from those two dudes.

    And they were both right.

  10. I didn’t watch the video but all I’m getting out of it is LeBron wants the easy way out and to play with MJ. SMH.

  11. If I was a writer I would 100% name my story this and then go on the talk about like jazz summer league.

  12. Having a live audience really ruins what I like about podcasts, particularly this one.  Having an audience there hooping and hollering naturally brings you into a more ESPN like atmosphere: making wild statements, and hunting after clippable moments.

Anyways, regarding the clip itself, I’m always surprised that Bron doesn’t cite Magic as an influence, seeing as how people often compare them.  Maybe it’s the age difference, or maybe Bron never really thought of himself as a PG.

  13. What a horrendous crowd. You came to listen to the man speak, let him talk

  14. I’m pretty out of the loop these days, is LeBron considered on par with Jordan or is there still a notable gap between their careers/skill?

  15. He had insane expectations on him at 16. And he matched them, unless you think he needs to be considered the consensus goat. Dude has had pretty much nothing to prove since the Cleveland title. And he has played almost a decade after that.
