Will the 2025 Chargers be different, Randy Moss’ comments on Justin Jefferson, Ndamukong Suh Retires

Jim Harbaugh, and the Chargers
are the first to open training
camp. But attendance that’s kind of a loose way to put it, is not
perfect because the veterans
have yet to report, which happens on Wednesday. The
Chargers second round rookie
wide receiver Tre Harris was not in with the rest of the squad on
Saturday. The deadline for the
Chargers rookies this according to NFL network insider Ian
Rapoport. Now, no cause for
concern as this tends to be a trend right now happening with
the second round picks. But that
doesn’t mean that the Chargers shouldn’t care about those young
guys making sure they get their
reps in before the vets arrive. Speaking of the vets, Justin
Herbert and the rest of the
crew, they won 11 games last season, but they lost in the
wild card round of the playoffs.
They’re often competitive, but they struggled, struggled to get
over the hump in January. What
needs to happen this year? Mantei for you to define the
season to be truly different for
an LA Chargers team? Well, let’s talk about what they did. There
are some questions regarding the
interior part of that offensive line, and they needed to add
something there. Well they go
and they sign Mekhi Becton, Super Bowl champ. He’s a
refrigerator of a man. And you
pair him with Joe Orton and Slater in there. They have now
one of the more dominant
offensive lines going into this year. And just that plays well
with what Jim Harbaugh is trying
to do with running the ball. Now, the thing that they do need
to change, and this is something
that they’ve been affected with since I was with the Chargers,
is this injury bug that seems to
strike the Chargers throughout the year. You look at the
injuries from last year. And
this is just the air guys. I mean there were there were times
when Justin Herbert wasn’t in
the game. I mean Joe Slater wasn’t in the game. Joey Bosa
wasn’t. And you could even go
back to 2023 when Keenan Allen was out. Austin Ekeler was out.
Like these are just key players.
No consistency. There’s no consistency. And there’s no way
that you can win. Just look at
what happened to the Lions when that defense was just decimated
last year. For a good part of
the season. It’s hard to win games when you have all of those
injuries. I remember when I was
with the Chargers back in 2013 or 2016, it was we had a lineup,
Jamie, going into week one
offensively and defensively that could rival. This was the week
one offense that we had Jamie
and KB. Like just look at we had Philip Rivers, Danny Woodhead,
Kyle and like we had guys. This
is the lineup going into the last game of that season. Let’s
throw that up. Okay. Look at the
contrast. Look at the difference between the guys. You still have
Philip Rivers. But where’s
everybody else. Yeah. And this is just offense defensively. We
even have the defense on week
one myself Corey legit Brandon Mebane who just won the Super
Bowl. Melvin Ingram we had Joey
Bosa coming in there. Brett Flowers We could go on and on.
This is the last game. Like
where is everybody. So this is something that has happened with
the Chargers back when we were
in San Diego. If they can do what they need to do to stay
healthy guys it’s going to be
something very, very it’s going to be a really good season for
them because Jim Harbaugh knows
what it takes to take them to the to the finish line, and they
just got to trust that process
in the meantime. Kyle. Harbaugh did this job like last year was
awesome. They fired the coach
the year before. They bring in the superstar. And it completely
worked. 11 wins playoffs. This
is the Chargers. It’s not the Chiefs. They had to crawl before
they can walk. And they crawled
last year. What has to happen this year. This is very simple.
Like Justin Herbert needs to
join the conversation. And the conversation is all right. Maybe
he needs to join the club. You
know the club. It’s Mahomes, it’s Allen, it’s burrow and it’s
Lamar. That is the club. Where
is Justin Herbert. He’s huge. He has a massive arm. He’s crazy
talented. He’s now very
experienced in the league. But he has to join the club this
year. If they’re going to really
do something in the playoffs and he’s going to have to join the
club. After one of the
strangest, least talked about playoff performances of the 21st
century. Let’s get into this.
Last year, Justin Herbert was excellent, specifically
excellent in taking care of the
ball. He threw three interceptions all season and he
threw 4 in 1 playoff game. That
is insane. I’ve never heard of that before. That ball was high.
The first interception was
terrible. It it’s the kind of thing where in the social media
era and the era of optics and QB
tiers and rankings, that is devastating. So a guy’s
reputation, because here you are
in the biggest game of the year and you played the worst game of
your career. He’s never had a
game in his life where he’s thrown three interceptions.
Never. He threw four in this
game and we’re left. What do we do with Justin Herbert after
that? We walk away and we’re
like, damn, Justin, you look pretty tight in that playoff
game, man. He didn’t look like
yourself at all. So how are we supposed to judge you? And what
happens with that game is that
was the Saturday afternoon Texans Classic. You know it was
wild card weekend at Saturday.
There’s a game after it on Saturday. There’s a bunch of
games on Sunday. So by the time
shows like us come on Monday morning, we’re not talking
Chargers Texans anymore. It’s
just forgotten about poof. Like it never happened. It did
happen. It’s not that it was
bad, it’s that it was just so strange. I can’t believe what I
just saw. Three interceptions in
17 games and 4 in 1 game. It leaves you to make your own
conclusions about Herbert.
Anything you want. He’s not clutch. He choked. He tensed up.
Bright lights too much. Like I’m
not ready to subscribe to those things yet, but I can’t tell you
for sure that they’re all wrong.
Justin Herbert. All I can tell you is he played this great
regular season last year, so
it’s almost like we have to fast forward. I need to see Justin
Herbert play a great playoff
game, because I don’t even want to address the other playoff
game you had against
Jacksonville a few years ago. It’s not great. You are an AFC
quarterback in 2025. The rest of
your peers are the Avengers. They’re amazing. You have to do
superhero stuff and superhero
moments and he has not yet. So when he starts doing that, maybe
we’ll have the conversation. But
until then Jim Harbaugh, they could bring in Vince Lombardi.
It doesn’t matter. Like they
Herbert has to join the club and right now he’s behind the velvet
rope. Well to double down on
that Kyle, that not only has he struggled in playoff relevancy
just within his own team or his
division, it happens in Los Angeles as well. When you
inspect what the Rams have done
since those two started to share the same building in 2020, it’s
been all rams. About 11 months
ago, this show got to do this really awesome NBC special the
night before the season began.
And it was at SoFi and the cast on the show. He took this cool
golf cart into the belly of SoFi
Stadium. And as you go down this ramp, you’re looking at this
stunning mural of essentially
everyone that’s played, played SoFi Stadium, who is an absolute
rock star. And one of those
people is just Lombardi. There is a trophy there and it’s the
Rams that hold this. I think if
2025 is going to look different for the Chargers, it has to
start with fighting for the love
and affection and care of the people that live in Los Angeles
or Southern California in
general. The Chargers have their fans and they’re loyal and
that’s great. They show up, but
the Rams fans walk around town like they’re something to talk
about, and rightfully so,
because in the last five years things have looked great for the
Rams. So I look at Los Angeles
specifically like, you got to win your hometown and in 2025,
if you want it to look
different, you got to win and whatnot. But like the
marketability of the team and
the players that are here, I think also there’s some you got
to have, like walking money
around town if you want to be relevant. Yeah, absolutely. So
okay so AFC West let’s look at
them. And Patrick Mahomes and to have, like walking money
around town if you want to be
relevant. Yeah, absolutely. So okay so AFC West let’s look at
them. And Patrick Mahomes and
the rest of the quarterbacks Kyle just mentioned the AFC
guys. But if we look at the West
quarterbacks here’s the question at hand. Which AFC West
quarterback. This is so great.
And I know Kyle loves playing this game because he puts
himself literally with the
headset on in the playoffs okay I’m going to list them off. The
AFC West quarterbacks Geno Smith
Justin Herbert or Bo Nix. You don’t get to pick Patrick
Mahomes. You don’t get to pick
him in this scenario. We know what he can do with the game on
the line. So pick him Geno Smith
Justin Herbert. Which quarterback Manti would you pick
with the game on the line. Take
us through the scenario my friend okay off the rip I want
to go Justin Herbert. Then I
started to talk about Bo Nix because Bo Nix Sean Payton and
all of those game winning drives
that I saw, Drew Brees and Sean Payton kind of create while I
was with the with the Saints.
But guess what guys I’m going to go Geno Smith. Did you know that
Geno Smith has 12 game winning
drives since 2002. It’s the second most behind Patrick
Mahomes Jamie. And in the eight
games in 2022 to 2023 with Pete Carroll, he had eight game
winning drives, which was tied
for first. So just on that alone, guys, I didn’t know that
stat shout out to our research
team. I would go with Geno Smith because I think he’s going to be
riding back on them haters a lot
this year now that he’s back with his old coach. Yeah, I
don’t know. We’ll see. It’s a
new beginning. It’s everything. There’s very mysterious with the
Raiders. I wish for this
question technically Tom Brady in the AFC West. I wish I could
pick him, but he’s retired. I’d
like to have him. This is this is a tricky one because all
right. So Herbert is the most
talented. Maybe he’s like the closest thing to like a star.
But I just kind of was really
cruel to him in my comments based on his performance in the
playoffs. How can I pick that
Darnold always has this. Yeah. But to him you know like the
last time we saw Darnold it was
not great either. He looked very tense. He was all over the place
like can we do double Geno here
I think I actually think I’m going to say Geno Smith as well
I really am now. We haven’t seen
him with the Raiders. And it’s not like Davante Adams is there
with them. He’s long gone. But
Geno is sneaky good. And maybe it shouldn’t be sneaky anymore
because he’s been in the league
a long time. But he throws a beautiful ball. He doesn’t seem
to bat his eyes at crunch time.
I don’t want Geno to start an organization with or any of the
other arguments I have to start
a season with, or I have to build around. I’m going to go
with Herbert, but fourth quarter
right now until Justin Herbert does it better in late in the
season. And same thing with Sam
Darnold. Incredibly, I’m going to have this segment where I’m
like, if I got to beat the
Chiefs late and I got to pick one of the other guys in that
division, I’m going to go with
the new quarterback with the Raiders. Well, if you’re going
to beat the Chiefs late, why not
go? Why can’t either of you consider a quarterback that that
that hung with the Chiefs last
year and Bo Nix twice both games Sean Payton Bo Nix combo does
nothing for you Kyle. Yeah no it
does it does. Listen I like Nix I do for sure. And listen I
thought he represented himself
fine in that playoff game. They got pretty much blown out at the
end. But they showed up. They
didn’t embarrass themselves. Nix looks great. Nix is one of those
like it’s a trust fall we’ve
just seen I’ve been watching Geno Smith I feel like since I
was like in college. It feels
that way. Bo Nix I’ve seen him play one season. He’s talented.
He’s Payton I don’t know Jamie.
There might be something on that. There might be. It’s a
little bit of a riskier one.
It’s like hitting on 16. But I’m going to I’m going to stick with
Geno. If you want to go Bo Nix I
respect it. I was going to go Bo Nix because the fact that you
used that phrase, I’ve been
watching Bo Nix since Bo Nix was in college for what felt like
ten years. The guy has 70, play
70 college games at two massive programs, and was wildly
competitive in two major
conferences in college football. The fact that he showed up in
Denver and absolutely hung
didn’t surprise me whatsoever. I picked him as my rookie of the
year offensively last year, and
he he he hung with Jayden Daniels a little bit. Bo Nix in
that conversation. Okay I’ll
spin it again Kyle spin the wheel again. Take all the
coaches in the AFC West. Put the
headset on. You got to game winning drive. Now you got to
pick one of these guys to
manufacture to come down and score a touchdown. Go for two
and win the game. Does anybody
have an immediate answer that comes to mind. Yeah I always I
always I ride with Harbaugh.
That’s my guy I ride with that maniac every single time.
Listen, all the coaches are
amazing like this. All four coaches in the division are
either in the Hall of Fame
already or might be someday, depending on what they do here.
But like, I will always go with
wild man Harbaugh. Let’s not forget like a year ago the
Chargers it was it was low down
and out Brandon Staley was gone. They were not looking promising
at all. And now 11 wins like it
was nothing. I will always go with Harbaugh. But there’s
arguments for everybody. Yeah I
like Harbaugh. You think about Pete Carroll. I don’t know about
you two. Just agreed on no no no
no no no I said I do like Harbaugh, but I’m going to go
with Sean Payton. And the reason
why I’m going to go with Sean Payton, because I got to see it
live in person on sideline with
him and drew just being mad scientists with this guys. It
was so dialed in. Our two minute
drill was so dialed and I, I can’t tell you how dialed in it
was until you would go there on
a Saturday. During a Saturday walkthrough before the game. And
there were there was no need to
talk like Drew Brees just ran the whole thing because it was
like second nature to him. Like,
this is just something we did. And speaking about Sean Payton,
he was the best at situational
awareness. We planned and prepared for every single
situation that that would come
up in the game, especially late in the game. So I do like where
where KB went, but I got to go
with Sean Payton. Oh man, I and definitely the greatest
Viking to ever do it. First time
on my three years on the show TMZ sports with our Randy Moss
commentary on Justin Jefferson.
Thank you, TMZ sports Mantaur your thoughts on Randy Moss
really putting Justin Jefferson
squarely ahead of himself in that wide receiver conversation?
Well, it’s hard not to argue
that, Jamie. It really is. I mean, you think about all his
performances and all the stats
that he’s racked up. He set the record for yards. I think at
this point, this this segment is
called going for two. It’s a two man race. It’s between him and
Jamar Chase, his former
teammate. If you talk about the two receivers in this league
that are the most dominant, it’s
between those two now. It does support the debate with Jamar
Chase because Randy did say you
have to get in the end zone and Justin Jefferson leads in all
categories except for getting in
the end zone. Jamaar Chase leads the NFL in getting in the end
zone. But this is one thing
that’s going to stand out for me going into this season. One
thing I love about Justin
Jefferson is after he got paid that big contract, his tenacity
didn’t change. His competitive
greatness didn’t change, his attention to detail, his
leadership, all of those things,
his his willingness and want to win. It didn’t change. How many
times have we seen these
receivers or any player in general in the NFL, get these
big contracts that change, that
changes the life of them and their entire family, and then
they come in the next year and
it’s just flat. It doesn’t look the same. That’s going to say a
lot about Jamar Chase. Now I me
watching Jamaar Chase and being a fan of Jamar Chase and Justin
Jefferson, I think it’s going to
be the same thing for both of them. They’re going to come in
after a big contract and just
compete even more. But I think it’s a two man race. But it’s
hard to argue against Randy Moss
when you consider all that Justin Jefferson has done in
this NFL in the league in such a
short amount of time. Well, first of all, it’s great to see
Randy. Randy’s been going
through a lot. He hasn’t been in the public eye very much. It’s
just great to see him on camera
looking good and sounding like himself, let alone saying
something as magnanimous as he
just said about Justin Jefferson. To that point,
though, I got to say, Randy, I
love you. Slow the hell down. Let’s take it easy. Let’s take
it easy on these young guys I
hate hearing about on pace to this. Everybody in this era is
on pace to do something. Randy
Moss, they would grab him. They would triple team him. They
would hit the quarterback. After
he throws different era, different sport almost entirely.
So I don’t really think it’s
apples to apples. But the key to Justin Jefferson and what he’s
going to do I mean we’re going
to watch Randy Moss here. The key to what Randy was so good
at, he was so talented. But he
also had guys who could hook the ball. He comes into the league
and it’s Randall Cunningham. He
goes to Jeff George, Dante Culpepper. Even when he went to
the Raiders, Brad Johnson a guy
who won a Super Bowl. Even when he went to the Raiders, his
quarterback was Kerry Collins,
who was a really experienced veteran. And finally he goes to
New England. It’s Tom Brady. And
by that point he’s a first ballot Hall of Famer. I’m
looking at Jefferson now.
Jefferson’s going to his third quarterback in three years. And
we don’t know if J.J. McCarthy’s
good. We have no idea. So Justin Jefferson has all the talent and
the ability. And he’s playing in
the right era to shatter every record. But it’s going to depend
on his quarterbacks. That,
again, is why Jamaar Chase has a massive advantage over him.
Jamar Chase, indefinitely is
going to play with Joe Burrow, not only his college
quarterback, but Jefferson’s as
well. It’s almost unfair. If you had to pick one right now who
you think is going to put up
bigger numbers over the next six seasons. I’ll pick Jamar every
single time because I know
burrow can play. I don’t know if JJ can play. I don’t know if JJ
is going to be there in two
years. It’s the quarterback. When you look at these guys, so
many of the people, even T.O, 50
different quarterbacks and all these different teams. And then
you look at the true, true, true
Goat who’s miles away from Jerry rice. It was just Montana for
years and then into young and
then all the later years. Who cares about that. You find your
guy and you stick with him.
Jamar has his guy rice found or rather Moss found different
guys. I don’t know if Jefferson
has his guy. I hope he does and he’ll do fine even without. But
to do Randy Moss things, you got
to find your guy and his his success will depend on a lot on
J.J. McCarthy. Kyle, I’m glad
you mentioned some of those other names because it begs the
question, unfortunately for you,
Kyle, you’ve kind of become our historian. A tid just because of
the age difference between the
three of us on Gmfb. And I say that with love, and I say that
lightly. Kyle, when you look at
the wide receivers, whether it be Jerry rice or Randy Moss, do
you feel like the position has
changed to the point where you can’t really it’s like apples
and oranges or do you can you
put these guys into one pot right now and truly compare them
from your time watching the NFL?
I think you can compare the ability and that’s really fun. I
don’t like comparing the
statistical stuff I just don’t like, and I look at all these
guys who have so much respect
for like, I don’t care. I’m by the way, Jamie, I’m completely
secure being the historian and
completely secure with how old I am. Like I, I watched Cris
Carter play in my dad’s couch. I
watched you name it, and anybody, Andre Reed, all of
these incredible Hall of Famers
who I grew up watching and like, I just we’re so we’re so eager
to say they’re the best.
Jefferson’s. Jefferson’s great slow the Bleep down on saying
he’s going to be better than
Randy Moss. Come on. Randy Moss is just done. We’re not like
we’re comparing him to Y.A.
Tittle. I’ll be happy to stand up for those guys because again,
I don’t think it’s styles and
talent. Sure. But production, it’s a very different thing,
guys. Very different. Amanda,
does it dilute for you at all Justin Jefferson’s ability to
make it on this greatest wide
receiver of all time list? The fact that he does have to play
with all these different
quarterbacks, I think it dilutes it a little bit for him just
because to Kyle’s point, when
you have somebody like Joe Burrow and Ja’Marr Chase
throwing, I mean, watch the
quarterback documentary, just watch what they’re saying to
each other. Like, I knew you
were going to do this. So I threw the ball on your inside
shoulder because I knew Ja’Marr
Chase likes to do yards after the catch, and I. I signal to
you in the back of the end zone,
and you, they just can read each other’s minds. And that’s just
what you build throughout years
and years of playing together. I mean, Justin Jefferson Kirk
Cousins Sam Darnold and he’s
going to have J.J. McCarthy. Like these are three different
quarterbacks in such a short
amount of time. So it’s not only how does this guy throw the
ball, but it’s more so. J.J.
McCarthy do you know how Justin Jefferson likes the ball when
he’s running a certain route? Do
you know that he likes the back shoulder instead of a jump ball?
Like, those are the types of
things that Joe Burrow and Jamaar Chase they don’t have to
talk about. Their parents are
tailgating in the parking lot. They have a lot, a lot of things
figured out beyond the football
field. Exactly. Well, that’s why it’s funny. They have so much
chemistry and they have their
little pinky handshake that they do, and they appear to be best
friends. And their parents are
best friends like Terrell Owens. Anonymous McNabb. We’re not
speaking. It’s a totally
different thing. They’re chasing each other on the sideline,
having arguments in the middle
of the game and then going out and putting up huge numbers.
It’s just it’s changed a lot.
And I think if there was a Netflix show following around
Donovan McNabb, I think there
would have been a different interaction. There’s so many
people to throw out here and
like, I’ve never seen like a 4 or 5 year period better played
by a wide receiver than Antonio
Brown, who also had a huge issues. And like there’s a lot
of guys here. It’s not just the
next big thing in neon lights or whoever’s on Netflix. When you
say like, greatest wide receiver
ever, that is its own show, not its own segment. So I just want
as many names represented as
possible. Okay. The segment is taking a huge shot. That was
electric. I could watch 50 of
those plays. And I said to Manti Su’s one arm, perhaps stronger
than like 75% of the male
population at this point. Ridiculous career
accomplishments for Andamooka
Suh, the second overall pick back in 2010. Kyle Manti cool to
watch those plays come back.
Manti, what you got on Sue man, you could go on and on about his
highlights. You could even go
back to his college days and watch those highlights. You
know, talking about his college
days. For those who don’t know, he was a Heisman finalist as a
D-lineman like that is just
unheard of. Like that just goes to show how dominant he was, and
just to be able to watch him
throughout his career. I too had an opportunity to meet Ndamukong
a little bit. I ran into him at
at the Oregon, the Nike facilities out there, and kind
of like CB’s encounter with
Davante Adams. He’s one of the most kind hearted, soft spoken,
yet grounded guys. I think he
gets a bad rep based on some of the antics that happened on the
football field. But when I
talked to him, the guy was just one of the best human beings,
most kindhearted human beings.
But later on in the show, I got a top five most intimidating
guys that I played played
against. Ndamukong Suh was one of them in the entire NFL was on
that list. Yes. Kyle, real quick
to follow up on that story from Manti back in 20 1617, a
sideline reporter for CBS. And I
have a game, frankly, watching those highlights, I had
forgotten how many teams Sue
played for, so I must have had a Rams game. I believe it was. And
I’m I’m nervous to go into this
production meeting and sit with Sue and get to know him a little
bit better. Long story short, my
in-laws are huge Nebraska Cornhusker fans, and that year
Nebraska had gone to Oregon for
that week one game, Labor Day weekend, and my strange father
in law is wearing a legitimately
orange shirt with corn husks of corn on it, a button down, and
he meets Sue, who also was off
that week. So he went to watch the game, interacts with him
about climate change of all
things under this tent at a tailgate, and weeks later I say,
oh my, my family went to the
Oregon game. I actually, my father in law, you know, had a
conversation with you and he’s
like, yeah, the strange guy with the Cornhusker shirt on. How do
you remember that? He’s so down
to earth, so genuine, loves everything about football. Great
memory. Good dude. Kyle and a
hell of a football player. Yeah, high IQ guy. He’s famously
friends with Warren Buffett and
likes to talk about investments and things like that. But
listen, on the field, he was a
wrestling heel, and he had a reputation because he earned the
reputation and he was on the
line. I have to say, guys, I know why we showed the highlight
reel we just showed of him
making strips and all that stuff. But that highlight reel
was like watching Goodfellas on
TNT. It’s not really the same movie. It’s highly different.
Okay, that was not the movie
that I saw in the theater. I remember in Dominican Sue, as a
rookie coming in with Detroit
and damn near ripping Jake Dellums head off. I think I
might have even been in a
preseason game. Like he was fierce. I remember him stepping
on Aaron Rodgers with his
cleats. Maybe accidental? Probably not. And Rodgers, like,
punched him like in the
hindquarters. Like Rodgers had a lot of run ins with Suh. He was
this guy who enlightened,
thoughtful, off the field, very intelligent, but on the field,
like on the line, over the line.
And I’m a nostalgist. I miss those players. I think we need
those players sometimes. But he
did some really, really, really brutal, dicey stuff and that was
part of what made him cool.
There was a theatrical part to it where he was quote unquote
evil as a football player and
didn’t care about being nice. I’ll miss that. And there’s just
not much of that anymore. Kyle,
did it ring true for you watching the highlights, how
many different organizations he
was impactful on and like the highlights is wild and the
divisions that he was absolutely
a menace within. Yeah. It’s a lot like, you know, Jadeveon
Clowney or Julio Jones where
like it’s this big name you just bring in. But he was just this
defensive tackle. So you could
bring him make a couple plays. And he would always show up
every single year. I’m still
not. He’s one of these guys. I’m also not convinced he’s still
retired. There’s him and
Rodgers. And like Rodgers I do not think will have nice things
to say about him if he’s ever
asked about him this week or this summer, like they did not
get along. It was a long time
green Bay Detroit thing, way before Detroit was cool, like
Ndamukong was on some really bad
Lions teams. But it was a lot of this and there was a lot of
after the whistle and a lot.
It’s just I would love to hear Rodgers reflect on him because
normally Rodgers likes that
stuff right there. He likes the back and forth. He’s talked
about it with guys like
Urlacher. I love the conversations, but I’m telling
you, there’s a play you can look
up. When Donovan stepped on him with his cleats and it looked
like it really hurt. And there’s
just a lot of it that went on. And again, I just keep saying it
like he’s gone, allegedly. And I
already missed kind of what he stood for. The amazing thing is
that we just had those ten
plays, and we have this vast vault of NFL plays. Yet the
imagery that Kyle is trying to
paint, all we have is still pictures of Rodgers and Suh
because like, don’t show the
clips, but we can show them kind of interacting in the football
field. That was awesome. And
Tomokatsu aftercare. Yeah. Can you please stop? Knock it off.
Look like friends. Yeah. It’s
like we’re going to do we’re going to do a Ron Artest top ten
plays. Here’s some shooting free
throws. Like what are we doing guys. It’s a different type of
player. We know the real ones.
No. Oh Baker’s dozen NFL seasons for you. Well done. Apparently a
friend of our show and but not a
friend of Aaron Rodgers. Just go prolific segment that we have in
front of us. All right. So the
2018 class quarterbacks we’re looking at you first topic. This
is so fun. Which quarterbacks
training camp of these four are you most intrigued by. Manti.
Take your pick. Put up your
popsicle stick. Stand by it. So if I’m looking at my picks,
three out of the four are
already established at their teams, three out of four. And if
anybody doesn’t know about
training camp, if you’re established in you’re a veteran,
most likely you’re not going to
practice all that much. You’re going to have veteran days. And
this guy that I’m going to pick
is Sam Darnold. Now Sam Darnold. He is going to have some veteran
days just based on what they
paid him. But there’s a lot of questions as to how they’re
going to utilize him. You got
Clint Kubiak over there who was offensive coordinator for the
Saints last year. And what does
Clint Kubiak want to do? He wants to run the ball. So how
does that fit with Sam Darnold?
Sam Darnold now has new targets. And Jaxon Smith-njigba and
Cooper Kupp. How is that going
to factor into his success this year. We saw what type of year
he could have last year. But
that year was with the Minnesota Vikings. It was with Justin
Jefferson. It was with Kevin
O’Connell. Now the biggest question is what is it going to
look like with new threads. And
so if I’m going to watch any quarterback out of those for
Kyle it’s going to be Sam
Darnold. Yeah it’s probably the right answer. You know none of
the rest of these guys are
having new teams or new coaches. They’re not coming off injuries
I just you know it’s between
these two guys. And just for the sake of it I’ll go with this.
Josh gets the same questions
every camp. How are we looking. This receiver is not here. Can
you beat the Chiefs? On and on
and on. It’s just he always comes up with new and inventive
ways to answer them. He’s got
this thing where they go out to training camp and he always
plays the final scrimmage in
this red helmet. And it’s legendary. And they’re trying to
say, Will the Red helmets make a
debut for the bills this year in a real game? Josh Allen is just
running it back again. Every
year they lose to the Chiefs. It feels like. And then every year
he has to show up to camp and
explain why they won’t this year. So he’s the reigning MVP.
Guys. He had the most amazing
season. He did all the highlights. He’s always a show.
He looks great in shorts. I’m
going to go with Josh Allen. I’m going to go with Baker Mayfield
for this one. I feel like the
Tristan Wirfs thing, the injury is really legitimate I think for
the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. But
moreover, I feel like we people are wholly unfair to the Tampa
Bay Buccaneers at times. We are
constantly trying to justify some other reason. A different
team in this division should
beat the Buccaneers, and they’ve proved to us for the last couple
seasons, and specifically with
Baker Mayfield with his contract in hand. Why that they don’t
deserve to be atop this
division. Yet they have proved people wrong year in and year
out. So Baker Mayfield, who’s
constantly wearing the contrarian hat, who is
justifying himself on his fourth
team and finally got that big deal, and his personality and
the best way possible has truly
come out in this juncture in his career. But I’m watching him to
see what kind of season, what
kind of tone can you set with this Buccaneers? Can you just
matter of factly take this
division from the jump and put away all these Falcons
supporters? And, oh, the
Panthers could be the Cinderella team because Baker Mayfield
could stand up on his popsicle
stick here and put the entire division on his shoulders and
say, nah, not this year. It’s
going to be the Bucs again. All right, topic two if you had to
pick one of these quarterbacks
to beat the Chiefs. Too bad we say, nah, not this year. It’s
going to be the Bucs again. All
right, topic two if you had to pick one of these quarterbacks
to beat the Chiefs. Too bad we
don’t have a fifth popsicle stick for Joe Burrow. Manti, who
would you pick if you could pick
one of these guys from the 2018 class? Well, Josh, Josh, he’s
really good at beating Patrick
during the season. It’s the question is in the playoffs. And
you got Lamar who’s you know
same kind of thing. Now there’s one quarterback that last year
his name is Baker Mayfield that
took the Kansas City Chiefs to overtime. And now people may be
thinking oh well what’s the big
deal. Well he didn’t have Mike Evans and Chris Godwin. So
you’re talking about a
quarterback who lined up against the Super Bowl champs about to
play in the Super Bowl that that
year as well with not his number one and not his number two wide
receiver in the game. And he did
it. And he took him to the to overtime earlier in the season.
It’s just somebody who I see in
Baker Mayfield. He’s always competitive. He’s always going
to will his his team to win and
he’s always going to compete. So if I had to pick anybody guys it
would have to be Baker Mayfield.
I mean I’ll go with Josh Allen just because you mentioned it
man. Like he’s beaten the Chiefs
multiple times. And granted it’s always in the regular season.
And sure enough week nine at
Buffalo the Chiefs are going to go to the bills. I think even
Chiefs fans at this point know
they’re going to lose that game. That’s just kind of what
happens. They lose in the
regular season and they never lose in the playoffs. You got to
just think at some point, nobody
ever thought Peyton was going to beat Brady. It was just it’ll
never happen. It did happen. It
happened in 2006. He got him in Indianapolis. Brady throws a
pick to Marlon Jackson at the
end of the game. At some point probably maybe it will happen.
But the fact that he has done it
multiple times, I mean I can’t pick the rest of these guys,
even Lamar, I would go with Josh
Allen just because maybe regular season and postseason can happen
eventually. See, I am going to
pick somebody who I think Kyle, you just said was in the other
part of your of your collection
here. I think in order to beat Patrick Mahomes, if you’re in
the AFC, you’re Lamar, you’re
Josh, even Joe Burrow. This has become a highly emotional
matchup. Like it’s hard to take
him down. You got to be hardened sometime in the best way
possible. You got to be like the
entire world was down and out against me. Several franchises
over and Sam Darnold finally
figured his business out in Minnesota last year. I’m not
saying this Seahawks team is the
one that could do it, but quarterback to quarterback for
some reason, I feel like Darnold
could mess around and be like I’ve seen worse. I’ve seen like
the bottomless pit that is the
machine of NFL critiques and critics. And I think Darnold
could do it if anybody. I don’t
know why it’s that Jamie I like that. So you’re talking about
you’re referring like Jalen
Hurts just like I have I have no emotion about this. I am just
going to get the job done and be
all business. I feel like like going to get the job done and be
all business. I feel like like
has that in him a little bit I like that. All right. Topic
three Superman is out now and is
the number one movie from over the weekend. Kyle did you see
it? No not yet. My son is at
camp, so when he gets back from camp, I’m going to take him. And
I’m definitely going. Though
apparently people say it works, it lands. It’s good. Like, maybe
it’s not the best movie ever,
but you’re going to like the characters. You’re going to like
the movie. Cinema is back, guys.
I won’t be going next week. Yes. Perfect. Okay, based off of
Superman, pick one of these
quarterbacks. And which one would you say would you trust to
save you, perhaps out of a
burning building? Or you just find yourself in a bit of a
pickle? You got to rely on one
of these guys. Well, well, Jamie, if you’re talking about a
hero, somebody that’s going to
save you, they have to have more regard for your welfare than
their own. And the only guy that
I could think about out of these four is Mr. Baker Mayfield. If
you’re running over a future
Hall of Fame linebackers in the game, if you’re blocking 50
yards down the field for your
running back, if you’re doing all of those things, donating to
hurricane relief, he is somebody
who really cares about other people than himself. You can
tell by the way that he plays
this game. He really matter of fact, I think he hurt his
shoulder one time and he was
still throwing blocks out there for his teammates. So this is
somebody who I trust will go out
there and try to save me. Now. Will he save me? I’m not sure.
I’m not sure, but I know he’ll
try. All right. It’s this guy. I mean, this is I want these
superpowers. This is the
Kryptonian power. If I’m. If I’m tied to, like, a railroad track
or something, and the train is
coming, I need speed. I need a steady hand. I don’t need a lot
of talk going on. None of this
banter between Clark and Lois or whoever the hell I’m Jimmy
Olsen. Just get me in, pick me
up and get the hell out of there as fast as possible. Lamar. Not
close for me, because if this is
in the spirit of Superman and the fact that we are talking
about is Kyle says cinema is
back and a true Hollywood ending, it’s Josh Allen for me.
All right. Did you see who this
man married over the summer? An actual movie star. Okay, who
could play, like, the next Lois
Lane in 5 or 10 years? When we. When we remake this movie again.
Josh Allen, you’re probably
going to be in a Superman when it’s remade in 5 or 10 years.
You have your own production
company now. You’re all Mr. Hollywood in the best way
possible. Josh Allen actually is
having the movie ending, at least in the beginning, to his
beautiful romance with his new
bride. Congratulations to those two. But for me, it’s this one.
Which quarterback? Because he
could be. Actually, he does wear a cape at times. Last one. We
have many golf debates on this
show. We do. So here’s another one. Which one of these
quarterbacks would you want to
share your golf cart with for a round of golf? Manti. Well, I’m
not that big of a golfer. I love
watching golf. But as far as playing golf, I’m not that big
in the sport. But three out of
the four went to the century tournament. One of them didn’t,
and I actually saw this guy
swing a bunch of clubs in 2022, and he seems like my kind. He
seems like my type of flavor
that we’re just going there to have fun. We’re just going there
to be with the fellas. Just talk
story. Where was that? It was, it was, it was that like some
some little tournament down
there in. I don’t even know if that’s. Oh that is Lamar because
I remember the shoes. He had the
Air Jordan one light blue shoes. That is Lamar. And he talked
about in his tweet that he
wanted Tiger Woods to give him some lessons. So if I’m if I’m
going on a golfing trip, I would
love Lamar with me because he’s not going to take it serious and
he’s just going to be there for
a good time. Perfect. Wow, dude, I went on that. All right, so
this guy is way too famous. I
don’t want to be in the cart with him. Way too famous and way
too good of a player. I don’t
want that kind of attention. Same deal here. All charisma,
very good golfer, a lot of
fanfare. I don’t want that kind of attention. I thought about
this just a little soft spoken
and really, really nice guy. He’d probably be fun to drive
around with. But again, I’m. I’m
with Manti, I don’t golf, I’m terrible. And there’s nothing
better than when you’re pulled
out to a bachelor party or something, when you find someone
else who might suck at golf and
you’re like, hey, are you bad to do? You want to just get really
messed up for the whole time?
Yes. And we’ll get in. Like, it’ll be like the, the Xenmobile
or whatever the hell you want to
do. And it’s 18 holes in, you’re doing a whole bunch of Gatorade
and Tito’s and like, you don’t
care and you know, half the holes, you don’t even play.
Maybe you hit a tee shot and
then just go back. Now, Lamar, I don’t know if that’s your thing,
but I know it’s my thing and I’d
be happy to do it with you if you don’t golf much. You and I
are going to have the most fun
golf cart by far, while the rest of those guys get that they
didn’t break 75 or what the hell
ever. You and me buddy with nips in the golf cart, girl. We’re
going to do it. Add me to that.
Add me to that. This right here. There were there were images of
these three guys interacting
with each other and Trevor Lawrence at the golf tournament
over the weekend in Tahoe right
here. This is a foursome that in a golf tournament that I would
want to be a part of. Do you
know how much beer is probably consumed when these guys are not
working out? Between these three
and myself, I love beer. Okay, like this is the name of the
game for Jamie. I do too. And so
it’s like, Kyle, your frustration with golf is just
shocking to me. Still, it’s just
I don’t it’s disconcerting. After our conversation,
pickleball golf like this is
these three just crushing beers and myself and playing golf in
some beautiful location. I’m
sure they want to be good, but I bet we can play a round of golf
and they don’t care that much.
We care more about the clinking of the cans by the end. In the
back, you’re picking all three
of them. I’m picking all three. We’re going in a foursome to
play golf. And that’s what.
That’s what we’re doing. Can we just one more thing? Can we
bring up those pictures of Lamar
again? Why do these photos of Lamar Jackson golfing just look
like somebody told him, Lamar,
stand there and hold the club just to make it look like you’re
golfing. And then the one of him
getting in or out of the cart, there’s no Instagram tag.
There’s no nothing. It just is
like, come on now, stand over here and pretend like you’re
getting out of the golf cart.
Like we’re playing a round of golf. Kyle, this is just feels
like a strange golf catalog
photo shoot for a man that doesn’t even play unbelievably
strange. If you told me in the
first picture that he actually didn’t even hit the ball, he’s
just standing in there. There’s
no lower body movement, no hip twist, nothing at all from one
of the greatest athletes to ever
live on the planet Earth. And it does feel like he stepped in
there, raised the club, took the
picture, and then just stepped out and went back to the cart.
That’s what I look like. That’s
why he would be in our cart. KB that’s exactly who we want in
our cart. It’s like, bro, take
the picture. Okay, you took it, all right. Somebody else hit the
ball. Oh I’m done. Baker who has
like a casual like rack of Bud Light just in his bag just in
case for when you’re golfing.
And that’s the kind of buddy. Exactly. That’s the kind of
buddy you want to have in your
golf cart. Kyle, one last thing. Your final take on this t shirt
that you used to wear in terms
of this class of 2018 drafted quarterbacks, because I believe
this was part of your closet
portfolio there for a while. What do we got? Oh yeah. All
right. So I went to the draft in
Nashville the year prior. The Arizona Cardinals took Josh
Rosen in the first round to
build around him to make him the future. Okay. One year in, they
fired their head coach Steve
Wilks one and done. And now they were immediately getting rid of
Josh Rosen because Kliff
Kingsbury was the head coach. And he always wanted to coach
Kyler Murray. And they had the
number one pick. Josh Rosen beat Aaron Rodgers at Lambeau Field
during his rookie year. It
actually happened. You can look it up and he got so dissed and
so discarded and he was just
tossed. And so I was like, there was this crazy dynamic in the
Nashville 2019 draft where Josh
Rosen the first overall pick. Imagine like imagine this past
year, not first overall pick,
but the Cardinals. Imagine this past year if, like the bears
were drafting a quarterback like
they had taken Caleb the year before and they were just going
to draft a new guy, they were
already done. It was so strange, and I felt Josh Rosen was just
like held captive. So I wore
that all over the draft that year. And then he bounced
around. And now I’ve heard he’s
like a business school graduate and very successful. So I hope
Josh Rosen makes more money than
all these guys. But it’s going to be tough. It would be like if
the bears drafted Jaxson Dart
this year. We’re like, well wait, where’s Caleb going? And
because they have new coaching
staff man it’s good. Do you still have that shirt Kyle I
think that one probably was
intercepted by Brooke in the laundry. And she’s big on like
what are all these stupid t
shirts you have? She throws them away. So I don’t think I have
the free Rosen shirt anymore.
Good idea honey. Probably a good one. Man, I am taking that
phrase and running with it
intercepted in the laundry. Gosh, it just didn’t make it
back into the draw. Gosh darn
it. Where’d it go? I don’t know, Okay, so we’re looking we’re
breezing here. I come up to the
table. Hello you guys, what can I get you for dinner? How are
you starting your meal? What’s
your appetizer? I’m so excited for this segment, guys. Okay, I,
I really put a lot of effort
into this. Okay? Okay. I got a whole theme. Jamie. Guys, I got
a whole theme. It is a
steakhouse theme for these three, for these three different
things okay. Appetizer. Whenever
I go to a place, my favorite place to go to eat one of my
favorite steakhouses is Eddie
V’s. Okay. And I don’t know if you’ve been to Eddie V’s, but
there was one in La Jolla.
There’s one in Manhattan Beach. They have the best crab cake
ever. Like they got this
remoulade sauce on it. It is so good. And the golden standard of
crab cakes is the Maryland crab
cake. And it’s. No, it’s no coincidence that the team that
I’m comparing to this crab cake
also plays in Maryland. They’re called the Washington
Commanders, and the reason why I
compare them to this crab cake is this when you eat this crab
cake from Eddie V’s, it is so
good. Like it sets the standard so high that your expectation
for the next round is. So you’re
like, man, if this is so good. Round two. The entrees should.
It has to be just as good. It’s
kind of like the commander’s and Dan Quinn and Jayden Daniels how
their first year together. It
was so good that you’re like man year two got to be it’s got to
be better than that. But you
just don’t know. There’s always this worry. Like what if it
ain’t? What if the appetizer is
a star. Yes. And so that’s why, to start us off the appetizer
round, I got the Maryland crab
cake. And the commander’s. I cannot believe, first of all,
the excitement and the physical
thrill coming off of your body right now is like radiating with
excitement, but also the offense
that I think the entire state of Maryland, specifically down the
shore, just took Rashad for not
saying the Ravens when he went crab cake. But Rashad, what’s
your appetizer and the team? I’m
talking about some food. I get excited too. So this one, I’m
excited about that. As soon as
I’m done, I’m going to eat. But right now, if I had to compare
the food to a player, mine is a
sweet potato avocado salad. And I’m starting that off because
I’m comparing that to Travis
Hunter. The reason why is because it’s multi, versatile,
as healthy as organic, it’s
good. It’s rich. It’s herbs. It’s spice. Got a little bit of
everything. Got some arugula in
it. Got the sweet potatoes for the heartiness. Got the avocado
for the that that nice smooth
taste. You got the roasted chickpeas for the crunch the
pears the all kind of stuff
inside of it. And it what does it do. And you bring it all in
and pair it together with some
red onions. And this is something that Travis Hunter is
versatile. He can take you
wherever you want. He’s the beginning phase. He’s not the
biggest player, but he’s a
splash offense defense. He’s everywhere. So if I’m going to
advertise and open my Abilene
levels, I want something that’s some greenery, that’s organic,
that’s clean, and it’s just such
a good kid on top of all of it. So let’s start off fresh with
the sweet potato salad. This is
going really well. You guys are doing a good job with this. I’m
impressed so far. This meal is
delicious. Two thumbs up on Yelp oysters I love them. They’re not
for everybody. Rich, fancy,
intoxicating. Not for everybody. Oysters are Stefon Diggs I’m a
big fan of them. Not everyone
is. They’re a little bit polarizing. If you want to take
it to the place where you say,
you know they’re good out on a boat, fine, I’m not doing that.
But there’s a lot of fixings
with it, and there’s some people who can’t handle the oysters
they like maybe three of them.
They order the half dozen. The full dozen. They’re like, that’s
too much. I need to get out of
this plate of oysters. It’s expensive. It’s exotic among
foods. It’s kind of fashionable.
I don’t know what all that green crap is all over oysters, but I
like just a little lemon. Maybe
some horseradish for some spice. I like oysters, you may not. I
like Stefon Diggs, you may not.
And you can get some really good oysters in New England. Trust
me, I think you will this fall
as well. Don’t they expire quickly? Isn’t that what happens
to oysters as well? Got to keep
them fresh. Got to keep them fresh. You got to keep them
moving, you know. Okay. Second
round, the main course I am back. I feel like I like one of
these. Okay. For the second
course Manti what will you be having and what parallel between
a player and a team will you be
making with this food? Remember a steak house team? Okay, okay.
And Rashad, you know this.
Ruth’s Chris is often the restaurant that we go and we do
a lot of rookie dinners at.
Okay. And at those dinners, at those rookie dinners. There’s
also this debate with half of
the team because for some reason, half of the team at a
steak restaurant order a stuffed
chicken breast. So you may be asking, well, how does this
relate to any in any type of
team? Well, as as Jamie said earlier, you have the waiter,
they come over and say, hey sir,
can I take your order? These are the chef’s specials for this
week. Before the waiter can even
start, the person that orders the stuffed chicken breast knows
exactly what they’re going to do
and exactly who they are, and they say stuffed chicken breast.
And there’s a debate of why
would you order that? That’s kind of like the Detroit Lions.
There’s analytics that tell Dan
Quinn, Dan Quinn is fourth down, you should punt the ball. No I’m
going to go for it Dan Quinn
it’s fourth down. You should kick the field goal. No I’m
going to I’m going to go for it
I’m going to try to score a touchdown Dan Quinn is like the
guy at Dan Quinn Dan Campbell is
like the guy at Ruth’s Chris who when you are surrounded with
steaks and there’s all of these
recommendations of which steak to bone in all, I’m going to go
with the stuffed chicken breast.
He doesn’t care. He knows exactly what he wants. And you
know exactly what you’re going
to get when you go to Ruth’s Chris. That is run by Dan
Campbell and the Detroit Lions.
So I got the stuffed chicken breasts. Nice. That stuffed
chicken breast is banging too.
And you got to tell him about you’re going to Ruth Chris that
rookie dinner. Who picking up
the bill. That’s what the show is because that bill is
absolutely insane. So while I’m
taking these rookies, if I’m taking them to that dinner
already, I lathered the palate
with Travis. Right. Young rookie coming in. And now here come the
splash meal. Abdul Carter, Abdul
Carter with a New York strip steak. How he is a New York
strip steak and cleats basically
is what he is. He’s most anticipated when that steak
comes out and you can smell the
season and the butter just marinating right on top of it.
You cannot wait to dive in. And
I cannot wait, like everybody else, to say, what does this
generational talent kid produce?
His athleticism, his his his tenaciousness. He’s six three,
250. He can fly, can do
everything. But the thing about the steak is just seasonal. You
season it simply. And don’t
forget about a little dab of salt. They got salt Bay right?
Put a little dab on that salt
and guess what that salt does? It pulls everything together.
And what are they pulling
together over there in New York you got Thibodeau coming off the
edge pulling it together. You
got Burns coming off the edge pulling it together. And you got
what they call them sexy decks.
So what does Abdul Carter do. He pulls everything together with a
little bit of salt because he is
ready and prime steak to go. So give me that food Carter. Good
one. And he is a rare talent.
Guys. I can’t think of the more ostentatious order in any
restaurant than the sizzling
fajita platter. It’s just so much noise and so much look at
me and there’s a brass band that
comes out and it’s fire and it’s noise. I’m sorry I got to do
this. Dak Prescott’s decision.
Fajitas a lot of noise a lot of attention a lot of volume.
Everyone’s always looking. And
when you get down to it are the fajitas the special. Don’t get
me wrong they’re good. It’s low
calorie it’s protein. But inevitably there’s kind of these
greasy peppers and like onion
strings that are all kind of intertwined with the meat. The
only meat is a third of it. And
like in the end, it leaves you feeling a little dissatisfied at
the end of the meal. There’s
always this risk where the server says, please don’t touch.
Sometimes the pan has that like
oven pot holder over the handle. It’s a lot of experience. You
can’t just get a burger or a
steak. I would say the Dak Prescott right now in his career
is the sizzling fajita platter.
Oh my gosh Kyle first of all I it was always like a childhood
heartbreak of mine to realize
that it may not have been just as delicious as you wanted it to
is like they literally bring the
oven mitt out on the handle and set it down. Yeah yeah yeah yeah
yeah, I feel so adult having
this, but I will have the flour tortillas. All right. And for
the final course, the desert
manti. Which desert do you pick and what team did you go with.
And what’s the common desert at
a steakhouse. So we’re going to go back to Eddie V’s. And Eddie
V’s got this banana foster
thing. The thing about when you order the Bananas Foster for
dessert, as they bring out the
rum separate and they light it on fire, and they pour it on top
of the Bananas Foster and the
flamb? starts. It’s on fire. And it’s a lot like the Dallas
Cowboys. How in the beginning
there’s a lot of flames. But if you dig into this banana foster
while it’s still on fire, you
might fall under the influence. But if you just wait a little
bit, eventually that flame
starts to die down as the season starts to go on and you get to,
it starts to die down a little
bit. And so you start to wonder, man, what happened to this
flame? Like the Cowboys, a lot
of the times when they get into the playoffs. But then you bite
into this thing and it’s so good
and you’re like, man, I want this on every single
Thanksgiving going forward from
here on out. I want this Bananas Foster, especially on
Thanksgiving. So I got the
Bananas Foster and the Dallas Cowboys really good. Yeah. And
for me, I’m following you up
with a little bit of dessert. I’m going with a classic
American apple pie. And I’m
comparing that to Justin Herbert and the Chargers. How am I
getting there? Is this because
the American Pie is classic? It’s really good. It’s tasteful,
but standing alone, it depends
on who the chef depends on the chef. It’s like a macaroni and
cheese. It’s a classic taste,
but it depends on who, the chef, on how well it is. And Justin
Herbert is one of those guys
coming in and breaking every single record known to mankind
as a rookie. The top five this,
top five that. But but one of them that stands out the most is
the second most passing yards
from a rookie in the second. Now the first was Andrew Luck. Now
let’s get into it. Let’s go to
the chef Andrew Luck was coached up in college at Stanford. By
who? Jim Harbaugh. We fast
forward to the Vikings. The Vikings yes exactly. Fast
forward to the Vikings. Vikings
have Sam Darnold play very well. They let him go. They had an
opportunity to pick up Aaron
Rodgers a potential Hall of Famer not a potential a Hall of
Famer down the road. They didn’t
choose to elect to bring him on the team because they have who
JJ McCarthy who was coached by
who in college Jim Harbaugh. You see where I’m going. Chef Jim
Harbaugh is the coach of the
Chargers. Who’s been that missing chef to help Justin
Herbert get over that hump. And
don’t mind you that they got two first round draft picks at the
backfield. They got first round
draft picks all over the place on that on that team. And they
will be a top ten defense. So
that Wholesomeness American Pie will come together with that
combination. Well done. Jim
Harbaugh is like the Gordon Ramsay who like educates all of
the young ones up and coming.
Mine is very simple. My dessert is something called Dippin Dots,
a dessert that I have long hated
and had beef with because Dippin Dots and the people there had
the audacity to come out 20, 25
years ago and call themselves the ice cream of the future. We
are now in that future that they
proclaim to be the ice cream of. And I don’t see people walking
around with Dippin Dots no more
than I see them on hoverboards. So you know what Dippin Dots is,
Trevor Lawrence oh, kind of
waiting, buddy. We’re kind of waiting. It’s a few years in. We
were promised great things.
You’re a good guy and a good leader. And you got a new coach
and all kinds of talent. But
I’ve been waiting for Dippin Dots my entire life. I think
soccer will be America’s sport
of note before. Dippin Dots are the ice cream of the present.
I’m waiting for Trevor Lawrence
to have that. I am now arrived season where I’m, oh, I don’t
know, like a second team
All-Pro, where I’m winning playoff games or I’m throwing
for 5000 yards. I’m winning. I’m
throwing to Travis Hunter. I’m doing this. I’m doing that.
Until then, Dippin Dots, Trevor
Lawrence I hate to do it, but prove me wrong. Wow. Okay,
gentlemen, just to make sure I
have everybody’s orders straight, the steakhouse
experience. You are going with
the crab cake, the stuffed chicken breast and the Bananas
Foster. Yes. Very well done.
You’re going to eat well tonight. And it seems like
you’re on a health kick, sir.
Sitting in table two. Power

  1. Kyle forgets that the fires happened in LA the week of that 4 INT game by Herbert so Herbert may have been a little distracted with more important matters.
