Cinematic Recap of Cody Bellinger’s 3-Homer Night | NEW YORK YANKEES 2025
Two iconic franchises, two very good teams, two great cities, by the way. We all know that. And stars littered throughout the field. And one all-star who needs to have a good night for the Yankees is a gentleman who just found out he was an all-star today, and that’s Carlos Rodan. Looking for a bounceback start after his last start against the Mets. Trying to slow down a very strong Cubs offense. Heat. Heat. pitches out and 15 to right. Back to the wall goes Tucker and it’s out of here. That was an impressive night out of him. He was locked in from the very beginning. He was He was locked in and ready to go. Ballinger his 14th home run of the year. And he amigos. Highf fly ball right field and deep going back. Judge less and he makes the play. He run strong. Oh, Aaron just made one heck of a play right up against the wall. [Applause] Yeah. Can you believe it? And Carlos Rodan just threw his hands out like what can’t you do? He steals a homer and robs Swanson of at least a single. Dubs going on. We go to the bottom of the fourth. Three nothing New York. High drive right field. Tucker back trap wall. See youa. What a shot by Bellinger. Another two-run blast. Five nothing Yanks. He’s making his uh his push to to be an allstar, I think. I mean, in my book, he is. He’s been swinging so great. He’s my allar. Well, it kind of answers your question, Michael. How’s he going to do? I’m a tough lefty. Well, another two run homer. Cody Beller. Well, I tell you what, you take away April, he’d be playing in Atlanta, too. sharp is is the word I would use. Um, obviously he’s had a really good first half for us or however far into we are now, but that was obviously right up there. I thought he was just so efficient. His strike throwing was good. And that’s going to do it. As you can see, might be running out of gas just a little bit. and he’s going to get quite the ovation from this selloff crowd. What did he tell you when you went out there? Uh, not much. You know, I think I got one more in. Leaving them in. How about that? P [Music] And then when that last one came up, I was like, I got to run through this water to make this play. Diamond makes the catch. Another great catch. Another great catch by the captain. Oh, baby. What a night with the glove for Aaron Judge with a complete forward dive right on top of the line. Judge robs him of a devil. That’s the reason defensively tonight for Aaron Judge. Uh well, I mean, Aaron Judge made three incredible plays for me, so I was part of it. And it just uh gave me a cushion to be able to go out there and be in zone and attack. And as you know, defensively, we were pretty spectacular. You know, some hard hit ground balls, the the infield, made some great plays. And then once again, you know, Judge doing his thing, not only with the bat, but with the glove today. So, help me get to get through. [Music] And it feels like summertime now in the Bronx and Friday night and the Cubs are in town and there’s a buzz in the ballpark. I think guys can feel that. And when you’re having a big night offensively against a really good club, it lends itself to a really good environment. Bellinger. It’s one deep right center. Back at the wall is Tucker. Does he Did he get it? Oh, now that Did he get it? Who got it? No, that ball went off the wall. There we go. There’s another belly bomb. Everybody was waiting in animation here. And finally the umpire made the call and Tony Bellinger gets his third belly bomb of the night into right center. Everybody stopped. Judge stopped. Bellinger stopped. The umpire stopped. Everybody stopped. And then eventually the ball was right there in the front row. Oh my god. the fans were building it up. So, I was I was happy that, you know, first time in his career, first time ever hitting three homers like that. It’s a It’s a special moment, especially doing pinch drives, doing in the Bronx. There’s nothing like it. Oh, look at him. They’re yucking it up in the dugout. And they want him to come out. There he goes. There it is. [Music] [Music] [Music] Cody, you pick up your first career three homer tonight. You get a curtain call, but how long did it feel like you were waiting to see whether that third homer went over the wall? I knew with PCA out there, man. I mean, he’s a freak athlete and uh you know, shout out to the home fans there for catching that one. I think I think it was pretty close. So, um No, that was fun. That was fun. You nearly got a fourth. We know that there were plenty of laps when you returned to the dugout for your last two at bats. What were you being told from hitting coach Pat Rosler and Casey Dikes after that third homer? After the third, Ross said, “Get your ass out there for defense.” That’s what he told me. So, uh, but no, it’s good. It’s on to the next and you know, enjoy it and you know, it was a fun one today. You are hitting .405 over your last 69 at bats. What does it feel like to be hitting at the plate right now? Yeah, you know, it feels good. Uh, you know, ultimately just, you know, coming in every day is a new day and trying to feel good and, you know, see who’s on the mountain. Just try to beat him every night. Uh, it’s never easy. It’s one of the hardest games in the world. So, you know, wake up every day, understand it’s going to be a fight. You had a pretty good angle playing behind Carlos Rodont tonight. What did you see from a stuff was moving. Um the stuff was moving, you know, a bunch of different directions and uh kept the hitters off balance and uh you know, judgy with some unbelievable plays. Uh you know, that’s fun to watch. So, it was just a good game all around. Cody, thanks so much. Congratulations. Thank you very much. [Music]

u lost the series anyway
Quickly becoming one of my favorite Yankees
振奮人心
and theyre about to be in 3rd place… no fire or desire to win with this team… another FAAILED season
Beautiful video; but a lot has to improve after the All Stars game in order to make it to the post season and dream about winning something important this year.
Carlos Rodon and Allstar dont belong in the same sentence
I love these, but my only complaint is that this one game was given an 8-minute video, but that epic comeback last series against the M’s was part of a 3-minute series recap. I would’ve loved to have seen more from that 6-5 game.
The game would have been special has these pussies not lost the next two. Typical of a Boone lead team. They get out competed on a near daily basis. All that talent. That huge payroll. The Cubs wanted to win more. They played great baseball. I doubt the Yankees make the playoffs. If they do. It will be as a Wild Card( after being up by double digits in the AL East a month ago)
